I don't think any Australian cars are cool, mainly because their fan base is a tad overbearing.

I think that depends entirely on where you live, here in NZ you'll get more respect and admiration driving a Falcon or a Commodore than a Ferrari, it's incredibly odd.

I think it's because it's a four door that has such high performance and that combination of speed and practicality suits our lifestyle perfectly.

As for this particular example? anyone who bought one has more money than brains and anyone who likes it must be an incredibly odd person.

Seriously uncool

I soooooo disagree with you on this. ;)
As do I.

Grabber blue is a legendary color.

I'd trade my lowly 160 HP CRV for one of those in an instant, 362 HP and 406 lbs of torque ? that's a sleeper...sleepers to me are cool.

Not much of one with gnarly stickers and a huge hood scoop though.

It looks like something that these kids would want:

Which 9 times out of 10 are purely cosmetic. This still looks like a soccer moms grocery getter that many would laugh at because of the scoop and stickers.

Still. Stickers and hood scoops are a bit of a "Look at me!" which a sleeper generally is not. It's like calling a riced out Civic a sleeper if it's fast IMO.

I do see the point you're making, I just mean just the overall vehicle appearance as a whole...a plain looking soft-roader SUV with gaudy stickers and scoop. I figure most people would expect it to have maybe 200-250 hp. many performance packages are just cosmetic or do little to increase actual performance.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. Not many people would know it's actually quick, but I just don't think it can be labeled as a sleeper. :)

...okay, I'll admit you've got me there. But that color, on any other car I can think of, just doesn't look right. It's got to either be the right shape (i.e. not tall, among other things) or have the right amount of black or some other color to offset the blue; that particular Mustang looks great in that color, but the one posted earlier just looks silly.

I never posted my own take, so: I like the engine, but the transmission not so much. Also, crossover "SUV" with soft-road "All-wheel-drive". Uncool.

I don't understand what it's trying or wants to be, so I'm going to give it an uncool.

It's cool in my opinion because it's a lot more interesting and easier on the eyes than other crossovers. Oh and also because Grabber Blue. :D

A soccer mum's car with stripes on it. Hell no. It says cashed up bogan, and bogans (despite what they may think) are as uncool as they come.

P.S: While that gloss blue, like lacey lingerie or a well-fitting suit, makes any wearer look better, I'm not going to give it extra points simply thus.
