I see your point, I have to get a new wheel and a PS4 to make the change, but I would have to do the same thing for GTS, so why wait. Didn't want to learn a new game knowing I'd likely stop when GTS comes out, but it could be another 6 months or more.

It will be playstation 5 before GTS comes out haha.

Mots 4th week - Use the same cars but fully tuned to your liking.

P Mallard
Thanks Pepper,, we see our GEEZER gents dropping out like flies that stepped on the NoPest Strip. This one may just be the last of the Motts Geezer events?? I guess it was destiny, with PD losing interest and moving on to the next venue but nonetheless I hate to see our group come to an end. Perhaps as we come online in the next version of GT we'll rekindle old friendships, get the Geezer Club fired up and running for another couple years 👍👍 :gtpflag:

Using my up-tuned BMW McLaren F1 GTR '97, I've been able to run some laps at Monza and was able to just edge ahead of Veda9947 who is running some very fast laps:tup:

I'm not sure if I can go any faster, but I will try!
Good luck everyone!:cheers:

I have just put my order in for GTS and my playstation 10, hope they arrive soon. HAHA

Those of you going to ps4 The Crew, hated it to start with but love it now, Assetto Corsa great game as far as i am

concerned will have you grabbing something to hold on-to when you crash, drives well with all wheels.

Drive Club not a bad game but does not feel as realistic as Assetto, Project Cars excellent but wheel setup not so easy

with G29 it can be done using the post by @oldboy1943 post no 3331, works for me anyway, as far as i know it works

ok with other wheels.

:cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers::cheers:

Thanks Stewy for posting your thoughts on these games bud. The crew,, I found was simply no fun - but I suck using a controller so therein likely lies the problem. Project Cars is just too much hassle trying to get the controller set up. Perhaps when I get my G29 I'll be more motivated to spend the time but trying to use a controller after fiddling with some of the settings was a bust for me,, it will remain in the plastic sleeve until I get the wheel. Assetto,, hmmm. I'll have to see but if memory serves the DFGT doesn't work in the PS4, or does it?? Have heard Drive Club for the PS isn't near as good as it is for the PC so with your thoughts we'll leave that one go. Anyway, thanks again bud.

My 2 cents. I have been trying to set up my G29 with PCars and think I found some good info but my G29 keeps crapping out on me. It seems to be worse in PCars and more likely to break in some parts of the game than others. Even after thinking I understand more about setting up the wheel, it's still a great pain in the keester. I have to change the settings for each car. Once you get the wheel right the game is great until my wheel breaks. There are a lot of things about the PS4 that are better than the PS3 and I am still looking forward to the arrival of GTS (like I remember waiting for GT6, 5, 5 Prologue, etc, etc).
My favorite thing, by far, is the Sat morning get together with the Geezers, the racing. and laughing at ourselves. I hope the participation picks up with the arrival of fall and the grandkids back in school.

GEEZERS STILL ROCK :cheers: :cheers: :cheers: 👍 👍 :gtpflag:

GT - There's still a lot of time to be found. I found some when I changed oil. There is also time in the first chicane quite a lot, and you need to get on the gas asap. P Mallard aka Veda

Well Geez that sucks (regarding PC and your wheel). I don't quite understand the setup thing. I was all set to move to PS4 and PC with a Thrustmaster. Don't know what to do now.

Really doesn't have to end Duce. Just join the room and race with your friends.

I get the time trial losing interest thing since it takes a lot of time to figure out how to run a fast lap. Can be monotonous, but we've covered that a couple of months ago.

You will be ok with the Thrustmaster no complicated setups needed mate, fire off any questions to @zona99 he uses one for all his races now.

I am looking to sell my PS3, PS2 all games and Driving force ex wheel and G27 to fund the Thrustmaster setup, Keeping the G29 from Lionel as a spare.

Soks - Do you still have connection problems or is it a time of day thing. Can you join us in Stewy's room Saturday - 8:30AM Eastern time?

my connection is fine nowadays, I been doing pCars and Assetto Corsa without issue. PS3/GT6 seem to be whats causing my issue Its hard to hook up to UK time as thats my bed time :) gotta sleep early so the morning racket doesn't bother me. I use Led Zep as a pre emptive strike on their noise :D

As I ended today my "physical exercise "in 1st place in the Mot´s TT races with my tired G27 and I will away in the next days I ask to Geezer1791 to give the races terminated before Veda or someone overtake me.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
I am thinking to get the G29 in November and I would like continue with my geezers friends so maybe Stew and company could choose which PS4 game is better to join the largest number possible of them.:cheers:

Mots tunes -

Monza

McLaren 682PP 905HP 650kg - Oil, body stiffening, wash, all engine upgrades
Default suspension but zero camber and toe, brakes 6/6. Default transmission set at 211
Differential, 6/10/7 Downforce 400/550 probably default.

Should reach 200mph at the start line, brake hard as soon as you pass the first distance marker for the first turn while downshifting hard to second gear - turn right at highest possible speed while decelerating to the second left, get car straight and hit the gas hard while shifting to third. This gains a bunch of time.

Willow

Ford RS200 '84 500PP 1112kg

128/96
5:44/6.39
5/5
5/5
4/4
0 toe and camber
9/8 brakes

Differential:
6/5/5
6/5/5
46/54 front/rear

Transmission:
FG=4.375
TS = 112
1 - 3.714
2 - 2.635
3 - 2.098
4 - 1.752
5 - 1.467

FG = 3.0

Engine
Stage 2
Racing Exhaust
Iso Exhaust
High Turbo

Body all reductions then 20kg @ -50

Set power slider to reach 500PP

Sorry Jota - I had more work to do in these TTs. Enjoy your days away. I am going to look for a Thrustmaster, but might wait for them to announce the next model first.

Geezer 1791 had a suggestion that I'd like to try. Instead of making changes every week over the month, I'd like to go with his suggestion to make it a two week event. This would give more time to work on improving your time as well as reduce the time spent researching cars and changes to the cars. Please post your thoughts. P Mallard

Hi Pepper and Hi Geezers,, are we going to try again tomorrow - Saturday Geezers races? Hope so..

Use the Lamborghini Countach LP400'74 or the Ferrari GTO'84 on Ascari. Default with an oil change, you can upgrade to racing brakes and you can upgrade the chassis if you like.

For Laguna, you can use one of the rally cars in the '80's. The Lancia Delta s4 rally car seems to be the fastest. Detune to 500PP and upgrade to racing brakes.

I'll not oversleep tomorrow. Will open for business by 8:30 AM. No particular cars in mind, we could work on the two time trial tracks. I'll look for a Geezer car for the tracks this evening.

Thanks Pepper, we had a good time! 👍👍 Found we really could get around Ascari, but ONLY AFTER :banghead: we learned to respect those doggoned SH tires. :nervous:

Yes, it's down on HP from the Audi rally by a bit over 20 but 200kg lighter so for certain it can run a quick number.👍👍 I was surprised at how much better the rally cars can recover from our oft times "off-track" excursions than the other race cars!

Sept 11 2016,
15 years since that horrible day. We will NEVER forget that a few radical's caused America and the World so much pain. We're remembering why our men and women of the United States military are at their posts. Freedom ain't free people!
