:banghead::banghead::mischievous::ouch::grumpy:Sorry my last time is not valid for weeks 2 & 3 . Its only valid for the last race in GT3 Nismo race. But Mid-Field is OK.
Stupid mistake cause I was trying to find new setups and forgot the power.

GEEZERITIS strikes again.:bowdown::bowdown: but we all live in geezerdom, someone else's turn next week.:lol::lol:

Very easy to do for us Geezers. Can you provide the best time you had prior to the mistake? You can also continue next week, just post the times. P Mallard

Good morning Geezers,
Welcome to our newest recruit grandparocket, enjoyed racing with him yesterday lots of door rubbing and gentle touches the way clean racing should be.

Next weeks event is as follows.

race 1, 200 pp /299 pp at Brands Hatch mini circuit 1980s Any tyres.

Race 2, 400 pp /499 pp at Deep Forest. Any tyres.

Race 3, 600 pp /699 pp at Red Bull Ring. Any tyres.

You can use any cars you like with the exception.

you may not use any car that has race car in it's title.

However you may use any race car for example the 2J, as race car is not included in it's title.

You can change oil and strengthen chassis and change brake balance if you want to, other than

that no tuning or detuning allowed.

I am now going to open three practice rooms for you so you can try out all these cars.

The best way to find a car is look in car search and set the pp limits so it shows all the cars available for your pp class.

Practice rooms now open.

Do not publish the cars you are using but you could put some times up if you wish.

Enjoy.

Yes, We join you Stewy in welcoming GrandpaRocket to our group of "elders". Next weeks Stewy GZR races will be fun,, no fiddling around with tuning,, just choose the tires, set the desired traction, hop in and GET IT ON!!:mischievous:
Just a couple questions to get it straight in my old white haired head,,
1.) When we were talking about next week, if I hear correctly you mentioned there should be no duplicate cars - is that no longer on the boards? :dopey: No prob if it is not,, just wanna be sure I understood correctly,, you know how some of we geezers sometimes tend to get stuff messed up,,.
2.) "de-tuning" - is it OK 👍,, or 👎? Just to make it clear for me pleeeze, we should pick a car that fits the category as purchased and with or without an oil change it needs to fall within the PP range?? I've never actually checked whether or not the car wash has any effect on PP,, but I do know it for sure has an affect on performance in some cars. Where I really noticed the affect the car wash has on performance was the the 2D races we ran at LaSarthe. Anyway,, Thanks again Stewy for setting up and hosting these Saturday races bud!!

Don'y worry about duplicate cars ditched that one. You can wash, chamge oil and do chassis rigidity, they do not come under

tuning.

Your car must fall in the pp bracket without detuning, the game will not let you in.

Good afternoon Geezers, hope your feeling better @Daduce1947 we missed you today.

💡💡💡 Next week there will be two cars on offer they are the Suzuki gsx and the RX 500.

Cars will be run in stock conditions with oil change, wash and chassis rigidity allowed. Race soft tyres only.

no other tuning whatsoever and no wings.

The tracks will be Suzuka East, Tsukuba and Brands hatch 80s.

There will be a short 3 lap race then longer races you will need both cars for this event.:confused::confused:

A big thank you to @pepper Mallard and @geezer1791 for all their hard work in sorting this out.

This will be an unusual race :eek::eek: and should be very close, hope to see you all there on Saturday.

Room open at 13.30 BST 08.30 EST racing will start about 45 minutes later. :gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag:

Jota, I wish you had mentioned that earlier, maybe another car could be chosen although I tried for 3 hours to find something other than the Miura that was fast enough. I think your thought that the 80s being included would help to find new cars to use

No problems mallard:) ,after to spend one day getting credits and selling cars finally I have already the Miura.
NOTE: the 80s cars are already for us old cars:lol::lol::lol:

If there are no objections we'll start using cars up through 1989. Also, if someone else wants to suggest cars to use please make recommendations. Just remember we need to have faster cars each week.

Thanks so much Pepper!!👍👍 I knew you couldn't BEFORE it was done, but was hoping you would share the magic that put you so far ahead of we mortals  after the gates on that one was closed. Well done bud, WE DONE INDEED!!

For those of you who are interested in PCars racing, there will be a practice on wednesday night 7"30 ETA and the raceon Thursday at 7:30
Here are the specs:

Ok guys I have the specs for this coming Wednesday/Thursday. We will be running the Palmer Jaguar JP-LM at Dubai Autodrome International. We will start in early morning overcast and finish just before it gets dark with clear skies. However, there will be a bit of rain to spice things up. No rain...Just tried it with tire wear at 4x and the tires lasted less than 3 laps lol. No rain but there will be some very heavy fog, oh btw, these cars don't have headlights!!
16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
Tire wear will be set to x4 and fuel on real. Tuning is prohibited so we will all be starting on the same full tank and burning it off. I'm running a test race to see how the car handles overall. Felt really good in practice. This race will run just about 1 hour. Look forward to seeing everyone there!

Re GEEZER MOTTS challenges,, nothing?? If I may be so bold,, how's bout the '70 Toyota 7 at Monza? No tune, nothing, nadda - run it as purchased (comes with RH tires), no oil, no chassis, no car wash, nadda - just buy it, hop in and get so frustrated we're ready to rip the wheel off the table and bounce it off the floor :banghead: - naww, not really,, but it is a monster to handle in default tune for sure. Whether or not it can be called "FUN",, well the jury's out on that one until we start getting it tuned up. Even with a fantastic tune it's still a pedal fest to keep it hooked up and moving forward to GOLD but it can and will do it. I played with it this morning and using a Jump-Ace tune to get me started was able to get gold. Anyway,, just a thought.

Duce - I sent emails out to the GZR accounts earlier about the new Mots events.

At Monza we had won the BMW McLaren F1 GTR race car '97. Leave it with no oil change and stock settings except for power. Set that at 78.5% = 473 HP for 600PP weight is 950KG. Brake balance can also be adjusted.

At Willow, use the Ford RS200 '84 with no oil change. Leave it stock also except power. Set that at 75.1% for 184 HP 400PP weight is 1180KG. Brake balance can be adjusted. Go for the silver medal.

P Mallard aka Veda

I did quite a few runs at Willow in the Gixmobile today (did not use the out of bounds run up to start). Had a red lap in the 1:10.9xx (1.11.069 blue lap) with the following tune. Its original form was posted by Mateus Paulo at a previous Willow Seasonal. I have changed it some (bold numbers)
263 HP with no weight reductions plus 183Kg at +13. Change oil with all upgrades to power.
102/91
4.60/4.52

+.54/+.02
BB = 8/6

Transmission is my own but it was something from an earlier event. It seemed to work with a few changes so I left it alone. I reverse engineered it and the following is what I used:

Reset, FG=5.000 TS to minimum
1 6.925
2 5.133
3 4.151
4 3.475
5 2.901
6 2.362

FG = 3.0 P Mallard
