Its a tradeoff here with the downforce and top speed. Still finding the best level. Top speed is good for the long flat out parts but the wing helps in the 2nd sector.

That Zonda LM has great high speed grip and can take corners at unusually high rates of speed. That's one thing I loved about it when I drove it in Jav's GT Omega series. IIRC, it had a tendency to oversteer so maybe just taking off front df will help it's balance. (Front df changes also have a greater effect on top speeds than rear df changes)

I usually run 45/52. I tried 50/55 and was about half second slower, but felt more consistent.

I wondered about going to something like 45/70 if it would work better given a more aggressive tune (or at least one tending toward oversteer). I dont know if the car handles better now though after the 2.09 update, since it used to oversteer and that update seemed to give most cars understeer. Maybe it balanced out

OMG I wish we didn't ave this huge break; I wanna get some more racing in!!!! Curse ye, Christmas with your festivities and happiness and such. /grinch

Makes 2 of us!

I had no idea that this series was still going on. The last bit of racing I've done in GT5 was the race before it had previously shut down. So much has changed. Maybe I can make an appearance if you can accommodate me, Jav. I'd love to get back into racing online.

If you're itching to race Sunday, my series is about 2 hours before this starts and I'm looking for serious entries. Since this series isn't racing for another couple of weeks, I think I'll schedule my series around it so I don't miss these rounds.

If I'm not working on my bike tomorrow, I'd love to get some laps in for Spa. Having more people in the room gives me more incentive to make a room. Anyone free tomorrow for some practice? Around race time?

Count me in for some laps.

Merry Christmas to all of you guys!
The results and standings will be posted as soon as my new modem gets here!!

Lol! Please if you can send it to my inbox to get it all on the chart.

Finally I'm back online!! DA6righthand you can still join us as a resserve driver, most likely you'll be able to join every race as life gets on the way for us some times wich means not everyone makes it to every race.

Round 1 results: (penalties assesed for on track incident involving car#74 and car#19)

* = Fastest lap bonus point.
+** = 90 second penalty for avoidable contact.

That's a huge penalty! Guess it's incentive not to wreck into someone. Whether intentional or not, damaging another car is bad news. When drafting, make sure to brake before the person in front so as to avoid contact. You might lose a couple tenths in that corner, but it's far better than losing 1:30 because you ran into the back of him.

I hate giving out penalties, but we need to keep it clean. I know there was no malice on Joshua's part but still it damaged the other car and costed him arround the same time wich is not fair at all. A normal drive trough on Monza would take arround 45-50 seconds plus the time it takes to do repairs/pit work it pretty much equals to 75-90 seconds. I don't feel the penalty is unreasonably huge and it's only fair for the other driver and the rest of the field to know that causing damage to others is not acceptable.

Hey guys! Finally through all the hustle and bustle of the Holidays. Got some time to race tonight. Boy did I miss GT5. Be on most of the day tomorrow too.

I'm running some laps now and I'm going to try to land a setup by the end of the night so I can just work on race pace & pit strategy for the remainder of the week'

Is this a new series just opened? if so, I would like to race the Mazda RX-7 LM!

EDIT: Sorry, I thought I read 28th of des not november, your first post. I know Im too late, but if theres any rooms open and you would like a new driver or two, count me in!

After a pretty good practice session I'm hitting mid 2'15's on a full tank so on a empty tank I probably could get into the high 2'14's. But at 300km with heavy damage I'll take 2'15's @ no mistakes the entire race distance. 👍

I'm assuming the penalty is for the first corner with Magzire? I beg to differ for that incident but ill go with the flow.

Grad video and put together an appeal. Jav is very fair and open minded. ;)

I didn't even look at the replay. I was ready to forget Monza when the checkered flew.
