Bah I wanted to join because there would be no tc, might as well do no weather otherwise we will be using tc for most of the races.

Or allow TC only on tracks with random weather...

You don't need to use TC just because it is allowed, I won't be using it and I'm pretty sure most of the guys here won't use it either.

I might if - and that's a huge if - I can't manage to keep my car going in the right direction at all...

I don't think rain will be much of an issue on our races as we will not be doing any heavy manipulation with the time progression or starting on an inundated track.

Have you ran from inside the car yet. It's pretty fun once you get used to it. Probably the most insane cockpit in the entire game.

Yea its very futuristic looking, but no gauges I can read so no bueno for me racing in that view. I'll finally sold my dirt bike so csw rig will be here in January. I'm buying F1 wheel 1st and going to get BMW wheel a couple of months later. My paper flo is looking nice at the moment! 👍

Xero you can reserve my seat for some races I know I'm going to miss due to my daughter being with me on those Sundays!

Can someone elaborate on the quali process. Is it a 20 min race session and we just turn as many fast laps possible? Then replay is saved and grid order is based on each drivers posted fastest lap?

Huh? From what I understand in the OP, it's just a 20mn quali session in free run mode just prior the race...
(I'm French so English isn't my native language. Hope I understood well all the OP)

What Litchi said. It's a much simpler, more direct method of qualifying as opposed to the long drawn out method some series use that entails qualifying individually during the preceding week. Jav's way makes active stewards not as necessary and only used for penalty processes.

Ok you guys
Jav, leave it off if they want. I just asked to have it on. It was just my preference on how I would want to drive my car around others with full damage. I'll drive the car the way it is.
Some cars like to smoke the tires.

👎, I've been practicing with mine on this would be an epic failure now!

Me trying to break into the 1'44'2 on a fuel tank feels like this :banghead:1'44'999

Jav, is it going to be 51+1 or 52+1 at monza?

Me too I'd like to know race lenght to think about strategies, also please Jav can you confirm the exact time for the qualy and race on sunday?

I was confused about it. So I just turned tcs off. It would be nice to flick it to 1 if it rains though.

Hi everyone, sorry for the late response. Have not touched GT5 in three months, so never bothered to check my messages. Nice to see everyone racing again.

Jav, are there any spots open for me as a reserve? If not then I'll just check back to see the results.

Yes sir! Stay tuned, for Monza there will probably be room as Veloci won't be there.

As a matter of fact, I just very well might be there :P My plans got cancelled so unless I find myself doing something else then, I'll make sure to show up. This is one of the best tracks for the Zonda as Monza makes even the worst handling car drive like an RB-8, so might as well get an assured good finish.

I broke out the 1:43s with the Zonda R, the speed is way better than others, but twitchy on other tracks.

Thank you, that's perfect :)

I plan to open a practice room tomor afternoon (EU time), hope to see some of you there. I'll post room number here ;)

So I found the Zonda's kryptonite: rain. Any amount of it.

You thought it was hard to drive on dry tarmac....

- Tire will be limited to Racing Medium Tires or harder compound.
What does that mean exactly? Meds / Hards will depend of the track?
My preference is Hards on all tracks to be honest.

I think that just means you can't use softs, but aren't required to use mediums if you want to go with a harder compound.

If we are allowed to use Meds everytime, i'll use it for sure. Actually, Meds will always be faster than Hards, even with more pits.
So i don't understand why people would like to choose RH...

Yea, me neither, but those who do choose it have a preconceived notion, it seems, that the tire compounds are similar to F1 where there is a smaller gap in times and larger gap in longevity, and think that the hard compound can be better. It's nonsense, but there's no reason to have a rule that forces someone to a specific item when all other items are of a disadvantageous nature.

The rule is written that way to provide for any changes the game might face, this is PD afterall who know's what's in their minds! For all we know they might come up with an update tomorrow that makes tire strategy make sense....

Just a thought. If a person wins the race and is using TC on a dry track. Penalize them a point or two. I personally would encourage people not to use it during the dry. It really takes the fast cars and gives them even more edge as tire management is computer controlled on the rear. ;)

Training wheels what we call TC.
