Something does seem different and there's all kinds of reports of peoples cars handling different since update

This is rather generally. Tyre wear seems to have taken a massie rocket in wear rate. I only managed 7 laps before my tyres were down to half way. Plus 2 laps of those laps were spent cruising. MU suffered similar wear rate. Now I'm not jumping to any conclusions but I think this could be something to do with the new update. Because tyre wear was no where near the rate it is now. I could do 9 laps at La Sarthe before with tyres above half way and now I can't even do 8 around Grand Valley. Very weird. Could be a 12 stop race lol. It was only in the softs I've tested though and I haven't had chance to test out tyres since then but I'm also wondering whether hard tyres now also perform properly. If they do this could be fantastic. There will actually be difference in tyre strategies and you could either go for the slower more durable hard or the super quick, super wearing softs.

As I said this is just me thinking this. But anyone else feel free to test and see what you think. I seriously hope it is. More pitstops = More people on different strategy = More excitement.

Never thought I'd have to quote myself. I said this quite a while ago. You guys need to trust me :p

whos ready to Race !!!!!!!

Should be an interesting one tomorrow.. Need to practice some more, lol. Think I have the 787B setup a little better for tire wear, hopefully I can get a similar pit strategy to you all, so wont have to make up 40 seconds over the hour.

i havent practiced at all......................... oh wells.. i may pit every 8 laps

I'm ready to race :sly: My aim is a top 5 finish. Hopefully better. My pace isn't bad but I think my tyre wear will level it out :(

Is the race at 6pm British time or 6pm GMT? The OP says GMT but last time it was at 6pm British which is 5pm GMT. This is terribly confusing. Right its give or take 12.20 for me when I post this. Is the race in 5 hours and 40 minutes or 6 hours and 40 minutes? 5 hours being 6pm British time and 6 hours being 6pm GMT

6pm? Thought it was 6:30? If it's 6pm I probably can't make it :(

I just looked at the OP. Says race starts at 1pm Easstern which is 6pm British time. I also noticed the new pictures. I love the first one and the second one is a picture I took! Of Me! In a car that no longer participates in the series but visitors dont have to know that. Still, its a great photo. I think it captures just how steep the Corckscrew actually is.

Yeah I most likely will never be able to ever make it at that time. On odd occasions i might. I thought BK said last race it was going to be 1:30?

Races are on Saturdays
Online Lobby will Open @ 12:00 PM Eastern
Qualifying Race Starts 12:30 PM Eastern
Race Starts 1:00 PM Eastern
Race Ends approx 2:00 PM Eastern

 I thought it was 1:30.

Loading up GT5 now

I must say I'm slightly frustrated. If I knew you guys weren't going to start until 1:30 I would've hurried and probably easily made it but because I thought you were starting at 1 I wasn't in any hurry to get on GT5. And to miss the start by 2 laps and on a track where i think I could've got a podium or better is even more annoying :indiff:

Senna wins round 2!! Why thank you i take my bow :sly:

If I could change anything about my race, I would of pitted on lap 13, not 17, then pitted again around lap 25. Oh well. Great race I must admit. GTP_mike, you really made my heart sink when you got the better run out the hairpin. You really did. Then I got a great run through the next turn and WOW I just saw you disapear and looked back. I could start breathing then because those last 5 laps were really stressful. At one point I was wishing it was Monaco, even though I hate that circuit. I hope a podium is next in line

Who would everyone say their man of the race was? This sounds selfish but I would vote myself due to pushing that car so hard to get a one stop and 5th place. I was very relieved at the end. What about everyone else?

I'd say Senna. I'll go for Senna as he didn't put a foot wrong all race (from what I saw) and was an outside bet for the win from the start. Johny, tissimo and ofcourse yourself also had good races too though. Although if I'd been there I'm pretty certain I would've got a top 5 finish. But hey I wasn't. That's life and you guys had a good race :)

Your stream of conscious mic commentary kept the race interesting for me as I piddled along in last place :sly:

No. And we won't be scoring too many in the future if the time is at 1:00 all the time. I would be able to make some weeks but it would be 50:50.

OMG check out T4RG4's twitter page:

Ooh, I see vettelfan from the #Codemasters forum tinyurl.com/64qwy7z is the warmest thus far. Time to think some more whilst dinner cooks...

That's me!! :D I'm famous
