A week to make the perfect MINOLTA setup :)

Just started to play with the cambering and that has cut off 2 seconds so far, yuhuu.
 
Anthony Davidson now stepping in to the 908. As much as I want Audi to win, I like Anthony Davidson as a guy and as the F1 free practice commentator so I want him to do well :)

I fell out with him when he wrecked the Corvettes race last year at Le Mans. The Americans in their big ass yellow muscle car would of won in class and he gives them no room
 
Ah crap, just realized I can't make it next Saturday :( Something has been scheduled for over a month...

And I thought I could've won that race, my MINOLTA is the car with the slowest tyre wear.. I'm pretty sure.

Johny and MU seem to have got it in to their heads that the bentley is the fastest and the one with the best tyre wear. Maybe it is but I don't think it's as dramatic as they say. And even if it is they are probably just complaining about it because they wouldn't have the best car with the best tune anymore :lol:

Although because of this claim of it being the best car, Johny is going around saying Mav's an overrated driver even more (which we know he isn't). Interesting that the only race he had with Mav he was behind him by over a minute :p

The Bentley is good, but they should focus on their own car. I don't understand the complaining when Johny won the first race anyway...

If I could set up my wheel and get used to it I would be just as fast, lol (optimism ftw!) :D
 
Ok maybe I (or we) over-reacted to that. But it's not only at that track it's so fast on. It was the same at Indy Road. I know for a fact that Johny is doing high 1 35s in the 908 on Grand Valley. He drove the Bentley for a few laps and was easily into the low 1 34s. Ah well, no point arguing since no one believes us... :p

And the tune on the Bentley is something I made up. :)
 
Easily into the low 34s... haven't seen lower than 35.0 by Johny though... maybe it wasn't THAT easy ;)

With the Bentley tune I could do 36s. I don't care than I'm not the fastest, I know I can't be with the DS3.

ill do you all one better and show you what i'm talking about. I (Blaze_409) am in the aforementioned toyota gt-one and (Razor60) is ahead of me in the 787B in this video of the pace lap




as you can see the leaders are way ahead of us. we are in 3rd and 4th postions. razor was holding us up

hey blaze i dont think bermuda was talking about that overtake on the pace lap, i think he meant the overtake at the start/finish line at the end of the pace lap. if u can post the replay recording the end of the pace lap to give others the chance to have an opinion on what happened.
In other news i may have to drop out of the season. my ps3 got YLOD (yellow light of death). i sent in my ps3 to sony today so hopfully i get it back and not miss any races.
 
I hope you have a backup of your GT5 save game, Razor. Hope you'll get it back soon, I know the feeling.

Truly epic F1 race today. I can't remember when I was sitting on the edge of the sofa last time.

yeh thankfully i got backup data but its 2 month old so worst case scenario, i lost my best 787b settings :(, hope memory serves me well and i remember my tuning.

I was lying on my bed with my best friend on top of me (its a long story) watching it. Gripping stuff. Just over 4 hours from start to finish. Epic race. I spent the whole time hoping the rain would keep up after the restart so Kamui (my b-spec driver so obviously I will support him) would be able to be competitive and Vettel would crash so Kobayashi would be the first Japanese driver to win a GP. Didn't happen. Vettel slowed down to much while in the lead then he was under too much pressure and just was slightly locked up and straightened out only to run onto the wet. Oh well
 
Was a good race, I cried a little when vettel went wide right in front of me, lol.. Was a great race, but damn Montreal rain is freaking ice! So damn cold.

Didn't crack. Not pressure. Just a mistake pushing hard. Trying to get that 1 second gap. And Button took out two cars during that race, therefore he sucks wood... hahaha

Either way Hamilton sucks wood defenatly. That guy is ****in nuts. Needs to cool down. Webber said it best. The race ain't won after turn 3.

Not even. understand that vettel was on dry tires. He went slightly wide and got onto the wet and it was over from there. Had the track been completely dry he would have continued in the lead. EVeryone was avoiding the wet line because they were on dry tires
 
yea everyone was trying to stay on the dry racing line, vettel didnt at the end there, hence he almost spun............

If anyone will send me the replay of the Grand Valley race it would be great. Could be fun to have all of the replays this time.

Why? I went up the inside and I had two wheels on track at all times. It was a tight squeeze at the edge of the track, we touched and you went in to the wall. Anyway you pushed me to the grass on lap 5 ;)

But anyway we don't need to go any further in to it :)
