Fantastic race. Well done Jamman, you didn't make a single mistake. I couldn't keep up and made quite a few mistakes. Way above where I thought I would finish at a track I hate. Onto La Sarthe and hopefully a great finale for the championship between Jamman and me. I look forward to racing everyone. :)

Ahh great race. Perfect drive. Got the lead fully from lap 10 after a battle with senna and never looked back. Kept the lead all race from that point, never went off the track and never left the top 2 all race. Very pleased 👍

Sadly though not much time to reflect and enjoy it though because with MU coming 2nd I have a gap of only 9 points going in to what should be a fantastic Le Mans showdown :)

Well, we shall see :)

I need a 3rd place to be guaranteed the championship win. Because even if you came 1st with me in 3rd, I'd win because i'd have more 2nd places lol. And actually if I came 4th anything lower than a victory for you wouldn't be enough. So I hold a small but key points advantage going in to it but as we know at Sarthe with the possibility if rain and mistakes anything can and probably will happen :)

Before i race recap i just wanna let you know i had one hell of a day lol......

In the Qualy Race i was running in second place on the last lap...Into the Corkscrew i get wrecked by my own Teammate........And i drop from 2nd place to dead last..... with only 3 corners left in the qualy race....ill remember that one Jamman....So now im forced to start the race dead last in the 46 lap Race at Laguna......

Starting the race from dead last......i make quick work of 4 cars before turn 1.......Then!!There was the absolute absolute Assault from PG-JM...comeon man....You dive bombed me into the corkscrew and Turn 1 for 7 straight laps....Every single time! You did the same thing to Bermuda KID as well....What the hell??.....every single freakin time you rammed me out of the way twice a lap after i re passed you...both into the corkscrew and turn 1...........He should lose all of his driver reputation points....ALL 18....at that point after you did it to me for the 6th time i decided to ppay you back and tried to ram you off the road the way you were doing it to me!!!

O.k. composure regained.....So after PJ-GM spun out after dive bombing me into the corkscrew and getting on the dirt......to my relief....i quickly pulled away from him....Then i came up to the back of Bermuda kid and we had a little entertaining battle until i was able to pass and quickly pull away......then i ptted on lap 17 ......Then had about a 10second gap to Razor70 that i brought down to 0 within a few laps....Then Me and Razor70 had a nice little battle that ill post the replay of later on........After passing Razor i quickly pulled away from him as well.....by that time the leaders where far gone in excess of 30 seconds and i was in 4th place ad that is wehre i finshed the race.....I had plenty of speed to make quick work of everyone but wanting to pass cleanly ii lost so much time to the leaders having to pass 8 cars on my way to 4th place

Yeah I'm sorry about that Blaze but I was fully alongside you and had the inside line. But you didn't see me and turned in to the corner, we banged wheels and you got the grunt of it. Nothing intentional :)

I managed to read all of that before you edited it. I hadn't gone in too deep. I'd gone earlier than normal on the brakes because I was very close to you and didn't want to risk braking late and hitting you. On the turn in to the corner I got fully alongside you and there is only one line through corkscrew.

Anyway let's put it behind us as it's in the past. We both had great drives in the race and managed to hold on to the lead of the constructors championship :)

watching from the replay.....you tapped me while you dove tothe inside sending me deep into the corner and i had to turn hard left to make the corkscrew.....o shouldn;t have made that move.....ii got bumped by you deep into the corner and then you still went for it and forced me off the track.....i couldnt come to a complete stop.......Your leading the championship with two wins while i got screwed by you.......teammate wars lol...Webber vs Vettel.

Just saying.......Im your teammate...at that point we were 2-3 on the grid....you had no need to pass we were in a great position.

What a chaotic race all round. My first race in the series didn't turn out as well as it could have. Rocketed from 6th to 2nd in the qualifying race in 2 laps, and could've gotten away with it too, if i weren't for the meddling sand :grumpy:. Then after jake later on used me as brakes into the corkscrew, i'd be starting in 10th.

Race was eve more chaotic, I couldn't get out of the dirty air and traffic and get some clean laps in, so it took me something like 4 or 5 laps before I could lap under a 1:18. So I went for an early strategy to try and undercut the guys ahead of me. It worked out well, and was now, at the back, putting in some fast laps, biting chunks out of the front runners, though that didn't really matter, and it worked somewhat, I got out ahead of some guys I was behind before. Pitted a bit early once again to keep trying to undercut, and it somewhat worked, I was now directly behind razor and ahead of tissimo, sandwiched between Team Wankel. Razor succesfully managed to hold me up so that tissimo could have a go at me, and it worked, good teamwork, and I, now on worn tyres, having to nurse the rear tyres home, took it easy to the finish, ending 7th ahead of Bermudakid.

If only I started further up the grid, I could've been able to chalenge for the podium places, or maybe even better :)

That just further proves my point. I braked early but you braked earlier than I expected so I went for the inside and if you pause it around 10-11 seconds you can see through to the apex we are side by side. And we didnt make contact until we had gone through the first bit of corkscrew. We just ran out of space. We bumped and you got the worse of it, just as I said.

Anyway as I said let's put it behind. As Mark Webber says we will probably have a different opinion about it until we go to our graves :)

i didnt brake early..i braked at that same marker o nthe track for every lap in the qualy race and in the real race.......admit it....you know you want to lol.......you tapped me....completely forgot we where teammates......at that point when we were side by side you should have braked more and let me have the line because clearly i was off line and needed the room.....Two cars can;t go side by side their.....you drove that corner like i wasnt even their......you didt leave any room for me.....You aimed for the second apex while i was still on the outside of you....you should have just let me goo and we both would have made it..

When you drove into that corner ther where two things that was going to happen....either you were going to back out and let me go clean or you were ggoing to stuff it in there and someon was going to wreck(whether it was you or me)....as teammaates you should have took the former stance.....

against anyone else you should indeed stuff it in the corner,....but not against your teammate.

1) I race the same against everyone. I don't think "Oh I'll run in to this guy because he ain't my teammate".

2) Where did you want me to go? I couldn't just vanish. Once I was committed to the corner I wouldn't be able pull out even if I wanted to. Bit like Webber and Hamilton in Singapore last year. Hamilton took the line and tried to overtake but Webber on the inside of the corner alongside him. You can't just vanish out the way if your already on the inside of someone and they take the corner normally.

Yeah it was a good race. I did make a complete mess of the start was 10th at start but floored it too early realised my mistake so I moved off line and braked heavily before line to make sure that I didn't gain any positions However this meant that I was now last going into the first corner.

Also made mistake of trying something different with strategy doing a one stop race rather than two stops like everyone which was a mistake as even though I was up to 4th at one point around lap 20 and 30 seconds behind lead with one less stop to make everyone on fresh tires behind was able to catch up and pass me while I was trying to manage tires enough to do an extra 8 laps. For next weeks race at La Sarthe will keep to same strategy as everyone else which will probable be 3 stops.

I decided that since bombe wasn't at the race someone needed to have connection issues or it just wouldn't be the same. Thank you Virgin Media. Oh well it La Sarthe next week and it has weather change but don't worry because bombe knows it is very unlikely it will rain....

Anyhow, Mike (my team mate), if you read this, get in touch because I have found a little setup quirk that you need to know about. It could lead to very strong results at La Sarthe, especially after I changed my turbo from a mid RPM to a High RPM and upped my BHP from 660 to 680 (why it was 660 I do not know but that explains the last few races). The turbo being higher is a massive gain in lap time, or at least thats what I noticed at Laguna in the late practice. I was running high 1.15s and low 1.16s all week then changed that turbo just before quali and did a 1.14.1 instantly. I ws astonished and wondered what a bit more testing would of given. I would probably been competeing with the front runners since my tyre wear is strangely lower meaning if I could be within 25 seconds of them during the entire race then only stopping once would provide the crucial undercut. I am staying in the 908 next season as well, that is if Mike is still there to be my team mate.

Yes yes. I'm not sure what is worse. That I changed my mind qucikly (to be fair, I found some POWWWWWEEEEERRRRRR) or that you digged throught he last few pages to find that one post. And I did test the LMR. Not recommended with the tune I had. I was running mind blowing 1.19s with a slight drop to 1.18s

And if you need to know how much cooler my 908 is now it has some power then check my sig.

And is anyone free to do some La Sarthe testing tomorrow so I can get a bench mark for lap times. I have a plan

Are the LMP cars really alot quicker with a high RPM turbo fitted. I was just running the car with no turbo fitted and limited to 680bhp. Best lap time I could manage was a high 1.14 low 1.15 in qualifying and race pace average lap time was probably high 1.15 to mid 1.16 on laps where I made no major errors. Will add turbo to Mazda later on and run some laps to see how much faster it is.

I will probably either keep running the Mazda next season or switch to one of the 908s if its its available.

:sly:

Maybe Mike should put this in a poster too :D

Feel free. It can be a poster summing up car choice and how crucial it is. Before testing the LMR on next seasons undefined regulations I chose a car and then after the next race, which I didnt even start, I'm back in the old gal. I think I might love French LMPs again... wait no they drive in a way that does their best to put the Audi's off the road and I can never love that.

My best lap during the race was a 1:12.9. Mostly 1:13's, dipping in to 1:14's towards the end of tyre stints. I wanted it to be the fastest lap of the race to make the race truly perfect but I think I heard PJ say he did a 1:12.5?

Anyway I'll be up for some La Sarthe practice tomorrow as I don't have much time during the week :)

Yes, I can confirm that from watching the live race, PJ did a 1.12.5 (the rest doesnt matter since there wasn't any others times near that. The closet I remember was a 1.12.7 I think so yeah, fastest lap was PJ with a 1.12.5

That's friggin quick. I'd never got in to the 1:12's before with a pad. Chose the right time to do it lol.

:D With no draft I believe. Too bad I had such an incident filled race though. :guilty:

Don't have a pic. But I think it went:

1. Jamman48
2. mu675
3. GTP_Johny
4. Blaze_409
5. Tissimo
6. Razor70
7. PJ-GM
8. BermudaKID
9. Kirk1701a
10. cjrciadt

Senna, Jake and Mike64 all disconnected or left. Golfer got disconnected before the start.

I had a 1.12.8 in race. close but no cigar

I need some advice on cars. I was this close to choosing to switch to the Pescarolo C60 Hybride for next season, thinking it was good, but that went up in smoke when I actually tried to drive it. Now i'm looking at the Nissan R92CP for season 4. How's the Nissan in terms of handling, tyre wear? Pros and Cons?

Thanks, will try and update standings based on this. People just need to confirm this first though before anything is official.

R92CP: Tyre wear = extreme. That's the reason it's not being used this season by me. Haven't tested after update, maybe it changed as the Minolta's tyre wear went from good slow, to fast bad.
