Huh? What have I got to do with anything, lol, I only have one race left and I'm 50 points behind... and the last race at La Sarthe is with a Toyota with a top speed of 333km/h without slipstreaming.. I'm dooomed, lol...

The BMW V12LMR is very, very good, surprised no one is using it. I am using it for sprint races, haven't tested its tyre wear.

I'm great with tyres. Car is now mine for season 4

Good Post 👍

I would say the GT-One has the edge over the 908. Oh it's going to be very tight at the end of the season considering Senna, tissimo, bombe etc. Watch your mirrors!

It differs between tracks. Indy they were similar. Grand valley the 908 was faster. Suzuka the GT one was faster. Monza I think the GT one was faster again but rain tampered things :p Unfortuantly bombe can't take part at Laguna Seca for some reason.

I still highly doubt I will win. I've not had a disconnection yet so I can just see it coming in one of the next two races lol. Plus there is the matter of time where as we all know by now 1:00 is hard for me. If we could just start time later for the last two races I could sort something out for next season and be there for 1:00 in future :)

Oh s***. I forgot your not going to be at Laguna.

The GT-Ones are going to be untouchable at La Sarthe me thinks.

Btw can I just say golfer I only had setup's from Blaze at Indy and Grand Valley. I've just being using the Grand Valley setup since as it works pretty well at all tracks fortunately enough. But blaze manages to make a custom setup for each track and towards the end of the season is unwilling to share them with me :D

So, who else like the LMR? I have a set up from some guy on the tuning forum (thank you tuning matrix. love the guy that set it up. you know the one where is avatar is him breathing fire?) The guy that tuned it doesn't usually do tuning but really wanted to tune the LMR. Oh he should tune other cars

The LMR has too much oversteer for me. Could probably be changed with a bit of tuning. Plus I don't think an individual driver can drastically change the tyre wear rate. Mostly car characteristics.

my peformances state otherwise on your tyre wear theory. Then again, maybe I am so rubbish that I drive to easy on the car, and thus the tyres

also, didnt you read what I said about my LMR tune? You can have a link, provided you agree to be a team mate

Off topic: Does anyone watch the awesome American show Man V. Food? ****ing great.

Lol great show :D

Haha thanks for cheering up my day. Even if it was an awesome tune, I'd be leaving a car with a great tune to go to another car with a great tune. I'd gain nothing from it. So to clarify the answer is no. Unless you start beating me in it, in quick races all the time :p

Tell you what, tomorrow, you and me will do a few races to see how it works. And since its going to be in a future series, we will use a few experimental BHP settings. I would do it now but you probably aren't free and I am playing some inFamous 2 until about 11pm when I will watch some more My Little Pony. Ddi you know that boomerang are showing the ENTIRE 25 EPISODE SERIES. I set it all to record on my V+ box so I can watch it forever :)
I might be the one of the worlds biggest My Little Pony TV: Friendship is Magic fans. Actually, I have seen the My Little Pony GTP thread. There are two people on that who just endlessly mess about with captions on pictures and Forza 3 car decals and youtube videos, all related to the Ponies. You should check it out. Its in the TV and Music section of the rumble strip. Check it out, watch ONE episode, and see what you think

Also, why is Man V Food on travel channel? Its like Top Gear USA, which is on the history channel in the USA

Man V. Food is on a food channel here in the UK at least. I have to watch this pony crap soon, to see what the hype is about. BBC Three now, World's Craziest Fools! Watch it. :D

I've done my bit to help you on your quest to find the Bronies. The rest is up to you. Just remember what friendship is

I'm in the 14.5's after one test at Laguna , getting 10 good laps, then loose a little time but managed 1:16's till 15 laps. Laguna seca is great , how many laps we running? I'm sure some of you guys will be in the 1:12s soon ?

sorry. i hadn't tested the setup so didn't want to screw you over with an experimental tune. And then it rained ad that threw everything out the window lol

Shame that I missed Monza. Anyway, I WILL be at Laguna Seca in full force in the Minolta. Brilliant car, the Minolta, despite its tyre wear issues, it's got to be one of the best cars out there. Laguna Seca isn't tough on tyres, so I shouldn't be at much disadvantage there. akmuq should be there as well, so watch out for JP racing on Saturday.

Anyway, is anyone interested in practicing tonight? I'll setup a room in a bit if anyone is interested.

Another ting, does anyone have a 1967 ticket they are willing to send to me? :)

The Minolta's tyre wear problems started after the update... at the first race I'm pretty sure I had the slowest tyre wear in the race, then it has just been bad since then. Might as well have used the R92CP without its drift setup instead... could've been faster.

Laguna Seca isn't tough on tyres

I beg to differ. Yes it is a short circuit but that just means more laps. First turn braking is tough (oh yeah, the start finish line turn will be tough on worn tyres). Then the two right handers are fast, hard, and flat surface meaning it is very tough on tyres. The next left is ok. One after is tougher, especially on worn tyres. Corckscrew second part strains tyres but you dont notice on the heat cycle visual. Than randy turn is tough on tyres and so is the next right. The hairpin is a doddle. But another strain on tyres is that the high tyre wear corners are right hand turns with the exception of randy. The result is your left hand tyres will burn out faster than the rights. Alot at this circuit. Dont try to save your rear tyres because if you do, you will only save one, which de-stablilises the car, only turning one way

I haven't ran any laps in the 787b, but in a different series I run the Bentley, and ran consistent 1:13s, with a fast lap of a 1:12.9. So a good time to shoot for.

I doubt that the R92CP would be faster than the Minolta. The Minolta's short wheelbase makes it a very nimble car, while the R92CP is rather long. It will be more understeery at low speed than the Minolta because of its longer wheelbase, and because of its 5 gears rather than the Minolta's 6, may not be as flexible. However, the Nissan should be more stable and easier to go fast in, and may come out on top on the Minolta on tracks with a lot of high speed corners.

just warning you now, im favoring regulations in S4 that will have the pescarolo's on par with the other LMPs.

Hoping next season we can get one of everything or even a team
R10
V12
908
GT-ONE
R8
CV5
787B
SPEED 8

ect... ect...

It's going to be very hard to persuade anyone to use the R10, let alone a team. Maybe have a 905 team instead? Or Minolta?

Anyway hopefully me and Blaze can be teammates in the GT one again next season :)

Nah, your not allowed since you have been in it for too many seasons now so I am taking it. Jus kiddin

But me and you later will do some random testing to see how good my LMR is. I would now but I am watching yet more My Little Pony.

Is it too late to sign up for this and do the last two races? I quite fancy a go myself having recently begun playing GT5 online.

PSN ID is markyboy1958 (my dad's ID since it's his PS3 but I use it all the time) and my personal one is ScoobyGTR90, which I hope to get up and running soon, maybe tonight even.

The Audi R10 is actually fine in the handling department. I drove it a LOT, and found it was more agile through the corners than the 908. Only problem is the torque in low RPM's can be deadly, and of course, it badly lacks power. But with a good tune and in good hands, it could be reasonably successful.

About the V12 LMR, haven't driven it myself, but from what I can see, it's a pretty good car. In GT4, it was faster than the GT-one, but I think that in GT5, they've made the GT-one faster and on more even ground than before.

I'd like to join you guys in your testing today,so please do friend request me ;)

you can join to race to race in the last 2 races of the season, just add Me (bermudakid) to your PSN that you plan to race with and have a LMP1 that fits the regs.
