If anyone is interested in some more practice, then someone open up a lounge, because jake is asleep, and has been for 5 hours now.

Not asleep, just forgot to turn off PS3. Had to go watch the NASCAR race and get heartbroken...

i seen crashes !

I "seen" the 29 get screwed over by the idiot RPM cars, then get screwed over by NASCAR officials.

The 2 car pods is the most idiotic racing ever btw. They need to change the back bumpers for plate races to not line up at all.

Guys we should make a spreadsheet with our lap times for different tracks. That way we can compile them all in one place and if we need reference times then we can have them.

Also if we did that then it would make balancing cars easier as we could see what cars are generally quick.

golfer made one of those a few pages back... the one we used beginning of S4 is still active, just add more times to that one. 👍

I guess I must have missed it. I'll go look for it now. 👍

Edit: Oh, is there any chance the HP limit would be changed in S5? I think almost all of the LMP's are over 700HP by default save the R10. Pug is a couple horses under.

And would we also be able to use the r390 gt1/clk-lm/other cars that were purpose built/competed in le mans? I think it would be pretty cool if we had different categories running at the same time. Assuming we could find enough people.

The max field size in GT5 is 16 cars. No one wants to be racing against only 7 other cars in your own class, and that's assuming a full race lobby.

Imagine having to drive an hour against 4 other cars in your own class, when you could have been competing against 11 or 12.

Just won't happen in this league.

Adding on to Seb's photo back in the other pages, would the real Le Mans look like this? :D

Man, that blue car didn't look like a prototype. Must be some suicidal guy who stole a car from the GT500 Series. He got pwned big time!

@650hp I did 1:59's with the GT-One at Spa. I changed the setup to see if there was some differences, it was slower. Before I did 1:59's with 600hp. So I figured the TC was too high. Seems TC @1 is better. 1:59.3 was what I managed. But it's different in race conditions. Which is where the real test lies. 'Practice mode' is much different, still, even after Spec 2.0! SO when you race the physics are different than just practice laps. This was in bombe's room a couple days ago. pj was there as well, and he could manage 1:58.9 as his best. We did a 3 lap race and the pace was around 2:00's for the lap times.

If everyone is going to test at diff hp, then we need to pick the same track.

Indy is still overall best for slow speed corners and top speed, with nurb GP or suzuka being a good technical tracks to test the cars handling.

all of this can be posted in the Indy road testing spreadsheet so we can keep record instead of everyone posting my " lap times here were ....."

That's funny, because everyone else was running 650hp, and then 600hp was last season's power rating. I think I was the first one to test at Spa and give my times. All the testing in the world means little in terms of times because the race has different physics. So I think doing 5 lap races is better than benchmarking times. I just put them out there for the purpose of seeing what average times we could expect at Spa.

I'm pretty sure there isn't any difference between the race and the free-run beforehand. Before Spec 2.0 I definitely was running similar times in each one and I'm also certain its the same now.

Also after extentsive testing here's the top and bottom of the Audi and Bentley situation IMO. If one of them gets ballasted, they both should.

At Suzuka yesterday the gap between the two (as I said yesterday was) to my amazement 0.001.

At Spa a few days ago I got 0.092 between them, Audi being the slightly faster but by less than a tenth.

At Indy I'm testing now and I've got 0.030 between them, Bentley the slightly faster of the two here but once again by less than a tenth.

And at the TGTT yesterday Tom got 0.008 between them.

It's incredible how close they are. Scary almost. But the point is they are neck and neck and they couldn't be closer.

I'm practicing LMP's, maybe I'll drop by 1 day... online Spa, full hp, racing soft, tcs 5, Audi R8 '01 I did 2:01, 2:05 in Peugeot 908. They good times?

Surely the point is to make sure every car is close enough to the R8 and Speed 8? ;)

Bye guys.... Pleease vote for me when aqua posts a link hopefully tonight

If I'm not here for s5 sign up can I have the Audi.please.

Cya

Yeah ofcourse. But the point I've proven is there is rumor of the Audi getting 15kg and the Bentley getting nothing more. So it sorts that out. I'm happy for them both to get ballast but no more than the other :)

Btw your dad really couldn't have smashed your TV at a worse time :(

Look, proving that their is less than a tenth between the Audi and Bentley is fine. Even if random drives during season 4 showed that it was much closer to 0.5 tenths gap between them with the Audi faster (Jamman tested them all alot and talked about how much faster the Audi was, even though now it is at risk of being ballasted the car has slowed down a lot). What my main point is about is that, we need to see how tyre wear is managed by the car. I mean if the Audi shows no sign of tyre wear when the tyres are dead and the Bentley runs 20 seconds slower a lap at half wear (these are exagerated for effect) then the Audi will be running massively faster across a race etc. That is what we need to sort out.

Full HP? So about 850+ BHP? I am faster than that at 650 BHP

You want me to be honest? If so, terrible (sorry) :guilty:

With the R8 '01 and full hp you should be around the 1:53-1:54 range at least.

lol @ both Audi drivers. Guys, enjoy winning every race by a couple minutes over 3rd place, it'll be a very interesting season that way.

Funny. You were around that speed with the Audi R8 '05. The car is apparently slow though, said by the same guys that prove it is so fast.

I find it funny both the guys complaining drive the Bentley, maybe because they now have some competition but I dunno, just coincidental ;)

There's mine and bombes testing results backing up our thoughts. Your opinion backing up yours.

Not if the Audi '05 and the Speed 8 is ballasted more to equal the other cars. Fact is, we've proved that the Bentley and Audi have identical pace, stock and with a tune. They both need some more ballast to bring down the slightly faster pace they have over the rest of the field.

Note he said at least. I don't need to explain the rest do I?
