The same kind of guy that has 2 PS3's, an Xbox, a top PC and a G27 (from what I know about Mr Kid) :sly:

pictures please

I'm getting a new TV for my b'day (24/12) so I'll post my old box TV. (15" cube)

You need a 65 inch, or at least a 55 inch .....

Who the hell has a tv that big in their room? Only hommes I suppose. :sly:

I think it's more normal to have a 55'' than a 15'' :D

My tv's 32'' btw.

@Drum

When? Can't stay up late anymore unfortunately. Holidays over, back to real life, lol.

EDIT: And to make it even worse for you, mu.

1-6

Spa

Fastest lap

GT-ONE
R8 Oreca +0.065
787B +0.112
Speed 8 +0.690

Avg time (3 laps)

GT-ONE
R8 Oreca +0.012
787B +0.336
Speed 8 +0.534

Surprised about the outcome. I found an improvement in sector 2 and they became almost even, although the R8's handling is still classes above the Mazda's. Shocked atm.

Bentley is very slow in sector 2. I'm promising that I do everything I can to set the fastest times, but I couldn't get near in the Bentley ...

GT-ONE, as expected, number one at Spa. Not by much.

I think the Bentley's ballast is damaging its times here. It's a high speed track and with 60 extra kg its acceleration is low.

Sec 1: GT-ONE
Sec 2: Audi
Sec 3: 787B

Done for today (or yesterday??), so I'll go to bed now. I think PJ and Seth wanted to keep the track as well, so might as well save Nurb for tomorrow.
Thinking about trying them at our most technical track, Suzuka, instead though.

I expect the 787B to be the slowest and the Bentley to be closer to the others at Suzuka.

Oh, and I might change to Jake's setup. That's the last thing I should remember.

Right, so, I tried with Jake's Bentley setup and..

it beat the GT-ONE by exactly 0.001. My God that car is great.

Moving on to Suzuka now!

Oh yes, it's @ 650 bhp.

So in fast lap pace there is +0.066 difference between 3 cars.

Thank you for doing this bombe and backing up my case.... again :)

Two high-speed sections and one technical isn't exactly ideal. I can tell you that the difference is bigger at Suzuka.

Sounds good. There will be cars better for
every track and weather situation, so they should even out.

Just done a top speed test at the Top Gear Test Track. Basically used that huge massive strip from one wall to the other and see what miles per hour they reached before smashing into the other wall. Used automatic gears (no brainer really, makes it equal) and stock setups. No car had ballast except from the Bentley which had 60kg added on top.

Results:

Toyota GT-One: 197mph
BMW V12: 196mph
Bentley Speed 8: 195mph
Mazda 787B: 195mph
Peugout 908: 195mph
Audi R8 Race Car '05: 194mph

At Suzuka I did BK setup Audi vs Bentley setup Jake. 0.001 to separate. Seriously. Jake and bombe were there too. The Bentley was superior until the hairpin then the Audi pulls it back. Both are sweet as a nut to drive.
--

Also, I'm a noob. I've only just found out about the extra rear downforce you can put on the Audi. I knew you could for the Pesky but I didn't know about the Audi :dunce:

Eh? My rear downforce is 105 so I dunno if a wing is on that but I think so. Got some very interesting results from testing too. Just need one more car to test.

Remove the 20 extra downforce and your speed test will be different.

And Jam, you're also a noob for making a big mistake in the last turn in a 1-lap race. Fail.

Wow, truly shocked at my testing results. Around the Top Gear Test Track, cars on stock and only car to be ballasted was the Bentley at 60kg. 650bhp limit and racing softs.

Results:

Peugout 908: 0:58.892
Audi R8 '05: 0:59.049
Bentley Speed 8: 0:59.057
Mazda 787B: 0:59.184
BMW V12: 0:59.242
Toyota GT-One: 0:59.280

Entire field separated by 3 tenths. 'Nuff said.

But seriously, I believe that the series should run at 650bhp and that the cars that should be used are: Audi, Bentley, 908, 787B and the BMW. No GT-One because it has a top speed advantage.

EDIT: Removed 20 downforce from the Audi. Result? 194mph.

You have. And that's why I've been constantly slower than you by about half a second. Bingo :D Not taking away from you or anything, your fast, but that's where I'm losing my time to you. Thought it was a bit strange.

You can't be serious. You just showed us results of the GT being the slowest car at TGTT, then requesting for it to be banned? Don't ban it.

I'm requesting it not to be used in the 5 car line-up because it will gain a huge advantage on straights but them lowering the BHP output would make it slower. It's also not right to limit it at specific races too, you don't get that in F1 where oh, the McLaren has good straight line speed so we must limit it down.

EDIT: Jamman, I wasn't using BK's gears and just stock ones so it levels it out again. :D

lol it's good but it's not half a second ;) Although actually it was only half a second at Spa. Indy it was a few tenths.

Anyway I don't want to get in to a petty talk argument. I was just stating my stupidity and saying I hope this will now get me nearer to you.

Suzuka fastest laps: @650bhp

Speed 8: 1:45.480
GT-ONE: 1:45.652
Audi R8: 1:46.236
787B: 1:46.395

I think the Audi can do it 1 second faster, but I don't really like to drive it, but it sticks to the road.

EDIT: Which means I'll try again with the Audi.

I'm thinking

Bentley: 75kg
GT-ONE: 25kg
Audi: 20kg
787B: Maybe? Depends on BMW and 908.

I'll try this next, but that must be another day. Don't flame me without trying it yourselves though.

I'm sorry but look at this Aqua

Top Speed
Toyota GT-One: 197mph
BMW V12: 196mph
Bentley Speed 8: 195mph
Mazda 787B: 195mph
Peugout 908: 195mph
Audi R8 Race Car '05: 194mph

Results
(5)Peugout 908: 0:58.892
(6)Audi R8 '05: 0:59.049
(3)Bentley Speed 8: 0:59.057
(4)Mazda 787B: 0:59.184
(2)BMW V12: 0:59.242
(1)Toyota GT-One: 0:59.280

Top speed really doesn't matter.

If it really made such a large difference on Sarthe, then just have a max top speed that can be set by the gear ratios in the transmission menu. Say, no more than 190 mph. That either balances it out, or allows some cars to accelerate faster than others.

Isn't that like kinda slow? Your using Jakes setup for the Speed 8 right? Because I am too and I got 44.9's in the Speed 8 and I overshot the last corner.

C'mon dark lord, pick it up :sly:

Just tried the Audi R8 '05 for the first time, at Laguna Seca, and all I can say is, wow. It's so much faster than the GT1 here. The 2 cars are opposites, the GT-One is master at high speed, but lacks traction and low end grip, as well as being slow on corner exit, while the R8 is masterful at low speed. I did a 1:12.4, which is even faster than I did in the race in S3, under a 680hp limit.

But I won't use it.

You're funny.

Test them yourself, see what times you get, nub :p I still won the 1-lapper, lol.

Just curious, what are everyone's Sarthe 2009 w/ chicane times?

Also, autumn ring is a hell of a lot of fun to do with LMP's. Great for testing, probably great for a short race. But since it's so short, a long race would be tiring.

Oh, one more thing...
Why don't you guys make custom tracks using toscana or eifel circuit [i think aso is too short] to run in the series or at least to test on?
