Hi guys !

I first wanted to PM you but then I thought it would be better to have a thread about the cars we WTACers addicts -would like to- use in WTAC, a place we can share our thoughts about them, could say which ones we would like to compete with, the ones we loved... in few words : everything related to cars + WTAC !

So, first question : how many expensive cars ( >= 500 000 cr) you guys still don't own ? Could you please also tell us which ones (only if you're missing 20 more or less or, if not, at least tell us which ones you're about to buy...) ?

It is just to help us in the WTAC process (sometimes we have ideas but usually afraid that you guys don't own the cars needed and are pretty expensive ones... whereas in fact, you might already have them and in that case we could go for it sooner than we thought !) !

There are a ton of cars that we would all enjoy driving, but I don't know if people have them currently (or could easily buy them).

Except for the BMWs, most of these cars i don't use that often, I usually like driving the Z350s, RX7s, M3s and S2000s. And GTRs (the only 4WDs I really like).

My son left his first PSP on a plane coming back from Mexico... he was understandably crushed, especially because I told him he shouldn't bring it. I feared that he'd leave it in his hotel room (I was wrong, but barely wrong).

About the cars we already used, I would like to remind you guys that in your website, you have a link called "Garage" (http://tac.gtplanet.net/Garage.html) where all the cars we used in WTAC are + where they were used (that explains why you have same car written twice or more : different tracks) except for the last two-three :scared: weeks cars -I'll update the website later today- !)

If it can be usefull, here is the official List of featured cars in GTpsp and the amazingly usefull Car/Dealership cycles... thread + this very usefull thread GTPlanet Time Attack Challenge Hosts Ultimate Car Lists ;).

About cars, as Detroitbb said, some of them or so special that we might run with them again ! For those that were used once or twice already and aren't that special, other cars might be chosen instead -unless we have a special request for a special event ;)-.

That being said, we'd love to hear your voice about the cars you'd like to compete with, even if we already ran with !!! But just be prepared, priority will be given to the cars we haven't run with yet -with some exceptions ;)-, and dealerships are important too : the less of its cars we used, the more likely we're gonna !

So, just before the wish list, do you guys own all the "expensive" cars in your wish list too ??? (you could write your wish list + add a "(soon)" next to the name of the cars you're not luchy to have yet ;) and "***" next to those you'd love to run -again or not- with !)

*Easyasashii has raised a concern about using both the ZR1 and GT-R SpecV in the same challenge at the 'Ring (since it is a difficult course). I almost feel like they are a 'pair' at this track and it's almost sacrilege to split them up (ha ha ha)! What do you guys think? Would you prefer to do them both or just one of the cars? Let me know, please!
 
What we are going to do is have each of you choose one combo that you'd like us to run in an upcoming weekly challenge. We may, in the near future, have you guys select another combo, but we'll figure that out later. Easy may, or may not, add some more car combos as I didn't exactly follow the rules (we were each going to present four combos)... once I got started, it was very difficult to stop!

We don't need your choice right now. You might want to give it a few days or more to think it over (and see if any new combos are added). When you've finally settled on a choice, go ahead and post your selection in this thread. It'll be 'first come, first serve'!

Questions, comments, or concerns? Just ask and I'll try my best to answer your query!

To be more specific, I love challenging challenges so my concern isn't about the Nurburgring being a difficult course, it is about the fact that it is a 7 minutes track, and two cars... so one car one hour : only 8 laps... And we all know that the more time you spend at a track, the faster you get !

When we had the GTPlanet Worldwide Special Time Attack Challenge : "DTM Legends, AMG vs Alfa" we ran one week with the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 then one week with the AMG Mercedes 190 E 2.5 - 16 Evolution II Touring Car '92 and it was very intense ! In one hand I enjoyed the fact that one week per car so that we could push our limits, but in the other hand, after 2 weeks at the ring, we were pretty exhausted and we felt that we spent a little bit "too much time" running...

So, if I would agree with both possibilities (session 1 one week two cars /or/ session 1 one week one car + session 2 one week one car (but not 2 weeks in a row, done that with the DTM and it is exhausting !), because I had some concerns about time consuming (yep, we all want to do great at the Ring !!! So we all will -want to- spend the right time on it ! Right ?), I just thought that maybe other drivers would have the same feeling. Consequently I thought it would be good to hear what you guys think about that ;) ! I thank you Detroitbb for giving us the opportunity to do so 👍

Personaly I'm 60% session 1, 1 week 1 car (Nissan -good way to learn about the track-) + session 2, 1 week 1 car (Chevrolet -more excitable, tuning needed but after one week with the nissan, the track won't be too hard on us ;)). I would even say both week should be the last one of a session :D.

However, I'm 200% crazy happy to have this combo, so no matter how many weeks we'd have, as long as we have it, everything is fine ;) ! Thanks Dbb 👍 !

(PS : Or ! We could have a two weeks in a row

We usually have a 2 cars 1 week combo, so 2 weeks -> 4 cars right ? I just suggested at the end to go for a package of 2 weeks with a possibility to run the cars where and when we want with a unique deadline for both week, a deadline at the end of week 2. Might not be the best option but another possible alternative. It is from dumb ideas that great ideas come from...

1. Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 --- Toyota DENSO SARD SUPRA GT (JGTC) '00
2. Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo 4 Limited Edition (Z33) '05 --- NISMO Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) '03

I would have liked to also add the Toyota WOODONE TOM'S SUPRA '03 vs. the Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R '03 but if its too late thats ok, maybe in the next session.

Unfortunately, as you can see, first you have to choose one challenge, so 1. Abt Audi TT-R Touring Car '02 --- Toyota DENSO SARD SUPRA GT (JGTC) '00 (👍).

Then we might need you guys to select another combo (which would be 2. Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo 4 Limited Edition (Z33) '05 --- NISMO Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) '03) that hasn't been chosen yet (so you'll have to wait for the other's choice first and hope they won't choose the same as yours ;). If one of them does so, you might have to think about another one...)
But we're not there yet !

We already ran both of them and priority might be given to other cars for the moment...

About the 'Ring combo, any thoughts ?

Well, Dan360, Spiral, New member, "old" member who took a break but would like to show us they still there, we're waiting for you ;) !

I wouldn't mind taking a run on Mine's Lancer Evolution VI '00 and NISMO Skyline GT-R S-tune '00.

But if I'm supposed to choose from the list I'd like to try these 👍
