I doubt this matters, but you actually used the '96 RX-7. I tried it out myself though and seems the same as the '93 one, but had to tell you just in case. INSANE LAPS nevertheless!

:ouch: Well thanks for letting me know! I may not get a 1'13 before the deadline, because I will still probably be recovering from watching 24hr Le Mans. This is my first time watching the race and I'm enjoying it so far. 👍

easyasashii is correct... it does matter that he accidentally used the '96 instead of the '93 one. Hopefully he notice the error and correct it before the deadline!

Me too 👍 ! It is sad to see two audi crashed but luckily no one i sinjured !

I just got up, turned on Le Mans and sew the Peugeot #7 -Alexender Wurz- who hit a wall !

This race is one of kind !

Even though I'm supporting the Peugeot 908's I still feel sorry for those Audi drivers. Anyway it wasn't completely their fault, both accidents involved a Ferrari 458 in the way.

The car GT Academy winner Lucas Ordonez is in (#26 Signatech Nissan LMP2) is 2nd in his class. Great job to him! 👍

Back to racing on the PSP, a quick session with the right car and I was nowhere near to reaching 1'13. I don't blame the 10bhp difference, I'm tired and I didn't run the RX-7 since Friday. Anyway here is my new time:

NewRX-7time.jpg

Too tired to calculate the new combined time, I'm saving my energy for the last hour of Le Mans then it's the Canadian GP!

WTAC Week 55
got lesser time to run laps after acquiring my PS3-GT5 package. A gift for myself after nearly waiting 3 yrs to buy the console. I hope someday all TACers will get their PS3s and GT5 so we could all race online.
On a side note LCFW developer Coldbird has just released his BETA version of 6.35 PRO-ONLINE yesterday. This will open the possibility for TACers to finally meet on the grid and race realtime!!! I just hope it gets a full release before I go home on September. Eventhough I am the usual slowest car on tarmac, I
would really love to race against everybody online-realtime.

My submission this week.

Course: Grand Valley East / Forward
Vehicle: Mazda éfini RX-7 Type RZ (FD) '93

Sorry for not being here all week, really busy week!! I got little time to play psp (I didn't even played gt5 all week) and wasted most of that time struggling with the RX-7.

Anyway.. my entry:

1306111113.jpg

Mazda RX-8 Type S '03: 1'13.830

Combined Time: 3'18.022

edit: I made a lap with exactly the same time as Dan360 with the RX-8! but I exited the time trial without saving the ghost what a fool!! but wow impressive times Dan!
Also I thought whatever happened to the car photos guys posted every week and was thinking of doing it myself with gt5 but red ice did it himself. Great job man!!

Here's mine, I struggled a lot with the RX-7, just couldn't find a good line through the section before the tunnel and the first corner also repeatedly caught me out. I am happy with my RX-8 time though.

Mazda efini rx-7 '93 -- 1'17.183 ( unclean lap )

Mazda rx-8 Type S '03 -- 1'16.610

Combined time: 2'33.793

I finally found all my rx-7 replays were unclean laps, so I think my result is unqualified...

Cannot make improvements.
I'm glad that my time with rx-8 is under 1'17, even though it happened only once twice (the other one is 1'16.835 got in Jun 12th) ..:sly:
See you next week.

1) For some reason can't seem to break 1'18 in the RX8. Damn, I suck.

2) I can't find my PSP cable. Damn, I suck, again.

^Don't worry how fast your times are :D, just keep practicing and try to upload your ghosts. More importantly, download other people's ghosts to watch and chase. :sly:

Also I thought whatever happened to the car photos guys posted every week and was thinking of doing it myself with gt5 but red ice did it himself. Great job man!!

I guess it's a matter of motivation and/or 'free time'... I haven't had much of either lately. But I did take some photos of the Chaparral 2D and the Ford GT40 and will post a couple either tomorrow or the next day.

:)

It appears that I miscalculated pvr's total points last week - I thought he needed to finish in 1st or 2nd place to win the current racing session... but I was wrong. He only need to finish on the podium to win it all - and he did! Congratulations to pvr77 for his very impressive win! He was consistently on the podium for each week's challenge and he racked up a lot of points for his efforts. Way to go, pvr!

Second place overall was MVR08, who was also impressive in his late run at the title of 'champion'. Equally noteworthy is Dan360, who held on to second place for all the events up until last week. It was a close finish for all:

pvr77 --- 48 points
MVR08 -- 47 points
Dan360 - 45 points

I want make a special mention of vaughan, who has continued to show improvement each and every week. We look forward to seeing how far he comes this next racing session! Although he didn't have a clean lap to submit for the official standings for this past week's challenge, he'll get a fresh start (like the rest of us) for this next upcoming racing session!

Like vaughan, Oni91 didn't make an official submission this past week either, but we hope to see him for the start of the next group of challenges! I will also be happy to see Spiral join us there too!

pvr77 - Please step forward and accept your trophy for winning GTPlanet's WTAC:
