Steward's Comments:
Another Prologue track with a very important final sector this week. This is really a fun combo, a good one to get to know London with if the track is new to you.

Viewing Your Lap Time Splits:

  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.

  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times
  • To post your Splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 24 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    Time: X'XX.XXX
    (Example-) Time: 1'10.100

  • Please include in your submission PM your final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday, August 1st 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:

This is my favourite combo so far. Thanks Kevin.👍

Tyre choice is not perfect. Other than that great combo.

I wanted to make it approachable across all the divisions, especially in light of the walls.

Agree that a harder compound adds to the challenge, just trying to make it work for everyone. :)

This looks great to me, I've been waiting for this Sunday since last Sunday! :)

I have not driven any of the TVRs in GT5 - this one sounds like a hoot on paper, very light and not short of power. Sports Softs will suit me and my control pad too, so Kevin I thank you :)

That's what I thought

First splits:
T1: 14.280
T2: 15.458

Here are my first ones -

14.200
15.653

Used 4/6 Brake Balance, with ABS at 10, and still locking them up sometimes. Looking like Massa in the GP today. :sly:

Me to Tamora - "Excuse me, I seemed to have misplaced my apex. Would you mind helping me find it?"

Tamora - "What's an apex?"

Wow look at all the lovely colours I can choose from! ... including the un-yellowest yellow I've ever seen.

Edit: opening gambit

14.190
15.904

BB 4/5 - but only because I didn't have time to change the rear as I was driving the car at the time.

Love the title, all kinds of lovely images come to me...💡

Looks like fun!

Thanks Kevin! 👍

Little and I are playing bottle caps using S-1z, he beats me, I beat him.... back and forth.... This is one of his favorite tracks so he lites up every time I cap his time and he has to find new speed  ...... I love my little game of torture :)

Once there is a king of the hill on the S-1z then we will go to our perspective corners and come out swinging w/ the S-3z for the "In House Championshipzz" :)

A week off to me, as i´m on holiday at Algarve (the most turistic zone off Portugal) with my wife and kids.
This time the hotel as internet so i will follow you all close

Good luck to all and watch the walls :sly::cheers:

Thank you for not going reverse, looks great. 👍
I don't typically get along with reverse tracks at all.

Lovely car but very narrow track.
Thanks for another great combo for this week Kevin. 👍
One question though.
Cutting this corner (like there are a few here) all the way on the concrete is considered dirty, isn't it?

*Reads the Title, then sees the thread* I am dissapoint

still got to work out that first corner to get my T1 going
14.366
15.995

Just had a quick 5 lap run. Hilarious! I love it, nice choice Kev. 👍 No splits to post - haven't done a clean lap yet but its loads of fun. S2 tyres would've been nice but I understand the reason for the choice. :)

Splits tomorrow when I've given up on HSR.

I think TVR made a mistake when designing this car. The wall magnet in the nose seems to be something they could have discarded at the outset. Had a few quick laps and if I wasn't stuffing my nose into one of the very close walls my rear end wanted to go first through the turns. I am trying to stick with the wheel but I think I may need to give it a run with the sticks first.

That's usually what i have to do to get a headstart on the circuit learning curve.
The jury is still out as to if it works for me or not, but hey, can't hurt to try different things.

Cheers All !!!

Well so far I've been able to eek out a few laps, though most are still red. I think next run I will do the DS3 and see what happens. I'm sure going back and forth will be beneficial for both skill sets.

Anyhow, here's where I am currently on the DFGT.

T1: 14.858
T2: 16.212

Do everything you can to brake in a straight line. And if you are spinning due to throttle off oversteer, feed a little throttle in. ;)

It also helps to brake a little sooner than you think, and sooner than you would in most cars here.

I dont know this track at all and I tried this with my wheel...OMG is it hard. Exactly how you described your laps. hahahaha

Im going to learn the track and the car as best I can with a DS3 first for sure. At many tracks in cars that are wild I cant get within a second or maybe two of my DS3 times driving wheel. This feels like it may be one of those tracks.

I can see myself struggling with this combo. Haven't had many laps on London with my wheel and the Tamora isn't the easy car to drive.
