Spent some more time on this, with a T2 of 45.362 and what I thought was a decent run to the line, only to see on the replay that it was dirty on the last turn. This 4 wheels on the track thing is frustrating but I do like the idea as I'm not a fan of corner cutting.

Nice splits UsualSuspect, I don't think I've had a sub 25 T2 yet

Thanks, best i seen on T2 was a 24.82x, and seen a few 45.1xx, but for a reason or another is always a dirty lap :ouch:

Found some improvement in sector 2 and gained half a second on the line. Probably will submit with these splits as my time is running out...

Now that Im done with enduro, I decided to try a few laps, Not sure if I'm going to submit this week, Too much time spent in the enduro preparation to do a decent lap here

I think this one is clean! It's hard to tell with so many colors of tarmac. Hopefully, I'll best it with one that is clearly clean, and avoid any disputes.

Slower T2 but much better at the the line and PB's in T1, T3, and T4

After quite a few tries, finally got a clean lap in. Waiting until after the Monza GP was finished before trying any laps at all on this may have been a Bad Plan™. I'm mostly just trying to get familiar with the track before the online race (never run it properly before :dunce:), so hopefully I'll have something submission worthy tonight. Not got enough good runs at T3-4 yet.

I wasn't quite sure where the third exemption was for sure until I spotted the Monkey.

The cockpit view in this car is very engaging. Had to drive around for a while in the external view :ouch:, before returning to Ye Olde Bumper Cam.

Well I put another 3 hours into this combo and I will be submitting with my last splits. Every time I had a better lap the chicane is dirty! So a better time is beyond my skills for now. Still getting used to the G27 there is so much more control in the pedals that I am not taking advantage of yet. Still got the DFGT habits! Off to Tokyo!

Finally at the witching hour I have done a lap that I relatively happy with. Still room for improvement , but after 1300kms and about 4 clean laps in total I am done with this.

I love this car though. A new favorite !

Off to Tokyo now, as going away tomorrow and won't get anymore time on it !

I've loved this car since it was released but never really had a chance to drive it. The car isn't tuned or broken in yet and there's lots of time to gain but I really like this combo after only a few laps and I will definitely try to find some extra hours this week over the 3 or 4 I usually get to put in some laps. The refined rules make for some extra enjoyment.

I'm a bit skeptical of this....

Previous combos you have been at/near the bottom of D3 and suddenly you've got a top time out of nowhere....

I'm done for the week, never got a chance to try to improve. Also, I'm not too confident in my T3 :nervous:. It's not dirty, but it's not fast either!

Good luck everyone and don't forget to submit :)

Just ran a much faster lap, but upon checking at the first chicane, there's just the tiniest bit of overhang from the left side tires into the grass/moss. Well, that lap is dirty as both corners in that chicane aren't clean.

Shawn, if part of the tire is still in contact with the red-n-white rumbles, it is clean.
The way you worded that, it sounds like you're under the assumption that no part of the tires can touch grass.

Oh, and welcome to the I-Thought-That-Was-CLEAN! Club. :D

Oh good, because this even faster lap I'm looking at right now has a tire overhanging a bit passed the rumbles but the tire is planted on the rumble.

And now I exit before getting the splits.

Submitting with these splits. Good luck to everyone. 👍

Submitted with my latest posted splits.

Good luck to all who participated in this experiment. I would definately like to see more of these where we need to stay completely on the track. It feels somewhat unnatural at first, but is definately challenging.

I like to use the driving line, and with these rules, I realy had to make some adjustments. I ran a couple of laps keeping the driving line dead center and I would have been DQ'ed at several places. The line itself is completely off the track in the grass at the first part of the chicane! So following the line would have been DQ'ed before getting through the first turn. Throw in the fact that I drive from the bumper cam, and use an automatic tranny, well this one was quite challenging for me. Not sure if I put in as much track time as I did at Daytona with the Camaro, but I put in at least 10 to 12 hours for sure.

Marc, this was a great combo as far as car/track. On Sport Softs, this car has plenty of grip and I think I only looped it twice the whole time. It just would not break traction that easily. The first turn after the chicane was a little slippery, but easily tameable.

Well it's up to the final two sectors. Hope everyone the best, and look very close at your replays. I had several good laps that required two to three looks before I discovered the transgession/s and threw them out.

Oh, almost forgot to thank Kevin for the tune. Pretty much just the way you posted it, but like Lucas, added a little gearing for top end. I also changed the brake bias to 8/5 and used 7 on the ABS.

Pretty sure you've got me, Ron. 👍 I ran this one for about 1000miles :ill: and never got the clean lap I was hoping for, but my submitted lap is good 'nuff.

I hear you Lucas. Getting a clean lap here is the key. I don't know how many times I heard myself cursing Marc as I made that perfect turn with two wheels on the grass, especially in the esses as you're nearing the final straight. Aaargghh, it was frustrating. I usually have a dozen or so saved laps, but here I only had 4. I really relished everyone of them when I got a clean one in.

Good luck.

Seen better sector 2 times but never managed to make it pay off, I had one lap better than this and 2 of my wheels went on the concrete by inches . Anyway good luck to all 👍

Just got a start on this a hour ago. :nervous: Fun but I wish I had more time with it. Submitting anyway. :)

It was clean lap number ... two. Awesome. No idea how it will go.

Used Kev's tune 👍. I was swapping with a tweaked version of it that didn't look ridiculous, but I honestly can't remember which setup I did the lap with right now.

T1: 20.953
T2: 25.267

Finally got a handle on the car and driving it on the edge is such a balancing act that it would put me in the zone and I could push my times down some more and pray I could make it across the line wo/ any issues. I'm submitting w/ these splits. Good luk all 👍

I would be too, I'm surprised at the time myself. Most weeks I'll get 40 laps in if I'm lucky, hardly enough time to even break the car in. I had a whole lot more time this week to put some good laps in. I'll also be a little surprised to see if the splits hold up against the final lap times. This is a rare week for me and I wouldn't expect to see too many results like that from me again in the future.

well had a last go at it last night not much time into this one splits were worse but total time was way better.Didnt even get the car fully broken in still down
