Just to clarify the upcoming Academy event, it is not a full 2.4hr enduro but related practice, simulated qualifying runs, multi-class sprints etc.
 
I think I can pop in this weekend, does anyone know what ticket gives you the bently ?

I think it's a 22 or 23 ticket, but I'm not sure.

Edit: It's a level 23 ticket.
 
Bentley Speed 8 '03: Won in the seasonal British lightweights championship. A 5 race championship series
Corvette C5-R '00: Obtained by redeeming a level 22 ticket (for which there are only 6 cars so odds are good).

I'll also try to get my hands on a level 22 ticket to help spread them around.

Jon, I can get you the lvl22 ticket so you can distribute as well.
I'll need the next day to send back my DLC painted Suzuki for next wednesday but I'll send you the 2 ticket first. About 8 hrs from now.

Edit: And I would really like a Level 22 if anyone's got a spare one.

Thanks to Speedy I have a level 22 ticket to send you Dean(sending now). If anyone else needs one I can send 1 more tomorrow.

P.S. You can receive lots in a day but only send 1 car ticket from the same PS3 Mamba, Speedy has sent me one so hold onto it for anyone else that may need it, thankyou.
 
We'll make it the 2.4hrs at Daytona practice, tips and tricks, mock quali's and short races.
 
Yes there is :) But I messed up the OP a bit.

Tonight and next week, we will practise the endurro combo, so the people from the academy (like you Dean) can get advise, tips, the right lines arround the track, and get commfy arround the LMP cars. We will also do some mock quali's so you feel the tention and get used to it when people watch you during quali... everything to get you more confidend arround track and to be prepaired for the endurro...

Then if wanted you can join the full practise afther the academy, you do not need to go al the way, you can stop whenenver you want, it is a practise....

In about an hour I will open the main racing lounge, and arround 22.00 GMT we will move to room B for the full practise.

Noize is already practising, so you can enter lounge if you want, see ya later...

I'll try to make it today, but I'm going to be late for sure.. I have to go see a person about a Piano they are selling on craigslist. My son has outgrown the Costco electric keyboard we bought him because there aren't enough keys for the songs he's playing now :lol: Don't ask me where we're going to put a Piano or how I'm going to move the thing if we decide to buy it. :odd:
 
Sorry guys I will for sure not make it tonight, and that counts for the Parity racing aswell, I will not be home before tomorrow morning. and then I might run a full practise endurro.

I'll be there shortly. The parity racers shouldn't be dropping in because we are holding that event in the A lounge without mics. I'll jump out of the main lounge to start the parity lounge at about 21:30.
 
I'm not even making it to the lounge myself. Good luck in the parity races.

Gentlemen,

GTP_WRS Online Academy Races is ready for a new start.

The Academy Races main goal is to let lower division drivers develop, improve laptimes, -racepace and confidence and now we will offer a new dimension to it,Rookie Races



Every Wednesday 3D3 Racing presents an online race based on previous WRS week.
Those races are fun but can be intimidated due to the combo or line up of fast experience racers.
We think the Academy is a great way to reach out to a group of racers who are new or have little experience with online racing.

The Academy online races will have the same format like the Wednesday races but can differ in tire,power or track(wet) choice.
Just to take the sharp edges of the combo.

-The new regular race time schedule is planned on Saturday 7.00 PM GMT.

-The new format:
(Note:the format is still under construction and the month March will be used as a trial period.)

Hour 1 (start 06:00 PM GMT) - Free Run w/Instruction: (rookies are not required to attend the instruction component)

  • Warm up
  • Instructor sample laps
  • Q&A
  • One-on-One Drive along with instructors




Hour 2(start 07:00 PM GMT) - Qualification and Racing:

  • 10 minute "live" qualification - students only -- vets,pros can watch and record times
  • 25 minute official race (fastest first) - students only - rolling start,With 6 or more racers results will be recorded and published.
  • 12 minute race (reverse grid) - With a possibility to apply some penalty when anyone drives away from field in race #1.
  • 12 minute race (reverse grid) - instructors/vets can join with downgraded cars and start in the back.



Note:If there are 6+ "students" then only students get to race. Instructors can take part in the entire free run section and watch the races. If there are less then instructors can downgrade their cars to an appropriate pace and fill the grid.

-We have the following terms for the instructional piece and it's kind of voluntary how it's defined and may depend on combo too:

  • Instructor: sign up as instructor means you are willing to give advise and answer questions
  • Student: sign up as student means you want to be given advise and have questions



-We are going to use some new terms which will help decide who gets to race and if they do race whether or not they are required to be handicapped:

  • Pro - All D1,D2 and D3 gold drivers unless special permission obtained. All D3 drivers with 5+ official 3D3 podium finishes.
  • Veteran - Any driver with 12 or more official Wednesday 3D3 races finished.
  • Rookie - All other D3 silver-D5and,In some cases D2bronze and D3gold racers can request to be categorised rookie by pm.



-Rookie gets first rights on the races. If there are not at least 6 then veterans can join with handicap. If there are still not 6 then Pros can join with handicapped cars.

So,
It would be great to see racers stepping over to the Wednesday 3D3 Racing in time but for now we hope to present fun Rookie Races.
Give us your opinion and feedback please so we can begin with the first scheduled race, March 2.
