Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 06 Submission ) to (Sphinx):

  • you can submit only once
  • please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time, and the car you used
  • the deadline is Monday 15 December 11.59pm GMT
  • if you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers ,named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck,
OLR Admin Team

Interesting combo this one, look foward to testing the cars later. Nice one Sjaak. 👍

Sweet combo, I always like it when I can pick a car that I like better than others 👍 cool one Sjaak
Also good to be able to choose between AWD, FR and FF setups ... [avoiding further car comment as ordered]

Nice combo, talk about screwing with my brain. can't tune very well but what car to go with........any ideas what will be the fastest?

Wow! This should be interesting.👍
Guess I'll get the ball rolling.

T1 35.319
T2 1'05.122
T3 1'23.787
T4 1'43.225

Board initiated - good luck to all picking your best car and surviving those odd braking points in the field of the track 👍

EDIT first craplap in my ****** car:

0'35.896
1'06.174
1'25.376
1'46.192

Lots of places and turns to work on. Best thrill is to exit the final chicane full trot :)

Board updated.
Daddy, your controller device for the board please? Thanks 👍

Gotta say as a first timer,im really impressed with the car selection thing.Gives a wide range of drive trains,KUDOS to whos ideal that was.:)

NOT my favorite track as can be seen in my dreadful IFTC performance this week, but I've given it a go...

T1 34.791
T2 1'04.791
T3 1'22.768
T4 1'41.975

Been half a second up on that at T3, but the chicane kills me... just pure luck if I nail it.

Having a good time with this one.

After tonites little session before dinner I got these splits.

34.958
1'04.518
1'23.361
1'43.498
:grumpy: bus stop

I'll be going back for more after dinner.

EDIT: see post #26

Back after a protracted absence...

Great idea, the multi-car choice. And I love Daytona Road too, no matter how many times I spin off at the bus stop :)

Ok, attempt the first:

34.806
1'04.360
1'23.094
1'43.032

Gotta get that under 1'43.000... desperation obsession kicks in... wheel on the grass, spin, smash....

I'll have another go tomorrow with the other cars. This is great. :)

Oh yeah... Division 3, Driving Force EX wheel :)

After a few hours testing and what not, here's where i ended up
34.250 1'03.360 1'21.934 1'40.659

Pretty happy with this lap, and thus, time submitted. cool idea

Fun combo 👍 Lots more time left to find...

T1: 0'34.998 (have seen 34.6)
T2: 1'04.313
T3: 1'23.048 (have seen 1'22.7)
T4: 1'41.966

The key to the chicane is to turn in early (before the tire wall on the left). The braking point is tough because there's really no marker :grumpy:

Another sessions results.

34.845
1'04.365
1'23.044
1'42.629

First run with one car.

34.904
1'04.503
1'23.633
1'43.706

Time to be had I was a fair way ahead of my best until i made a complete mess of the bustop :dopey:. Too excited for my own good I think.

Huge 👍 to all who organise, check replays and run etc these events each week, you have put alot of enjoyment back into GTP5 for me doing combos that I normally wouldn't.
Thanks gundalini....

Really big Luxy update :scared: these 4-split laps are lots of work for the updaterers

EDIT to Angel Chris :embarrassed:: I wasn't asking for that at all as I always like to contribute a little to this great community we have, but thanks anyway 👍 & updated your splits in the process too.

New day, same car and a slight improvement... kind of:

34.925
1'04.500
1'23.232
1'42.709

Faster through the bus stop but slower round the first half of the course, so there's definitely room for improvement. Interestingly enough, I was bursting for a whizz round that lap so I may try this technique in the future :)

Whoever made the car choices for this challenge - bravo. I love the similarity between lap times whilst each car has its own strengths and weaknesses and each requires a completely different driving style. I haven't enjoyed GT this much for a while. :)

A big pat on the back for bigracer too, for the upkeep of the leaderboard. 👍

Later that same day...

Managed to squeeze a little bit more out of the thing, complete with hand cramp :ouch:

34.718
1'04.330
1'23.007
1'42.624
