Speaking of brake balance, why wouldn't a balance of say 1/9 be better than one of 2/4. Whats the benefit of lower brake balance? I've been using 2/9 to get the car to rotate better and have just tried 2/4 with no noticeable difference. Is it because I am over using the tires during braking and therefore hurting myself during exit with loss of traction? I've never understood fully the benefits of lower brake balance. I'm using ABS 1 btw.

I used 3/5 on my lap. Not sure what the difference between 2/4, 3/5 and 4/6 are. Maybe turn in while braking. A lower b/b seems to carry more speed through the t1 corners, except the last t1 corner. 2/4 seems better for the t2 corner and 4/6 seemed better for the last corner. In theory, you could find your optimal b/b for each sector and take the chance of adjusting it on the fly during the lap. 3/5 for t1, 2/4 for t2 and 4/6 for t3.

Are you sure you got those right? That would have you with the fastest second sector on the entire board, by more than 2 tenths.

If the splits are right, did you get the tires right? We are not using the stock CS, we are using CM.

lower bb will allow more control and less sudden loss of lateral grip on trailbraking, but driving style affect it as well.. i like lot of oversteer with low brake bias, sometimes i feel braking distance is shorter on mild brake bias vs strong brake bias.

Ahh, ok, now that makes sense. I like oversteer as well, so what brake bias would you suggest? Thanks for the explanation. :cheers:

I've felt that way for some time, going back to GT5. The 1.09 physics seem to have thrown me for a loop on that, though, and I am back to mid range brake bias, for now. Need to get a feel for how the new physics engine wants me to deal with the brakes.

I also used to use ABS 10, but that's a big mistake now, as it will make you continue to slide in brake zones under trail braking, as opposed to just losing some grip.
 
Trust me, my split improvement is not as good as my T3 improvement. Only .2xx there.

Thanks to @Cats_PJs for the right turn in T2 advice. My throttle on point was too early, it's why I was always losing traction there. I'm not a whole lot faster here, but I'm much more consistent, and have also seen some 24.3xx second sectors in this session.

Finish to my lap was about 0.050 worse than yesterday's lap, but happy with the improvement, as that was one of my best T3's on a saved lap.
 
Slight improvement but hey, at this point I'll take anything I can get.

After reading the advice on the pre-tunnel corner, I found my throttle on point was much too soon. Try being more patient there, and see what it does for you.

Do you guys still actually race on Tuesday? The Team Smart in my sig is a holdover from some guys 3,000 miles away from me who used to do the same on Sunday. (GT4 LAN). I flew to the East Coast for work back then, so I met up with them a couple times and raced for the weekend. Good times. 👍

Thank you, it was your advice that got me the improvement in T1. I toned it down alittle, still smoking the tires however :crazy:, and that's where the gain came from so yea, thanks for that. 👍 And yea, I'll take your advice on that pre-tunnel corner and see what that does for me. This combo has sure been a learning process, in a good way of course...my hats off to the chef that cooked this one up. :sly:
 
my appartment is getting repainted over the weekend i had to remove my driving seat and get it out of the way.

i was not supposed to run again for that reason but when the painter left (late) i couldnt resist and moved all his stuff
in a corner and mounted my seat back in place :dopey:

its late and im tired now but it was worth it! lost a good chunk in t3 but still overall happy with the lap.

Submitted and accepted with LB splits and crappy last sector.

No , our Tuesday Team slowly fell apart with only three members still racing , me under the original Tuesday name ,
and further DonMejilone (former Tuesday_Red i believe ) and Friday_GTRP . And occasionally i see formerTuesday_orange
in the (top of the ) leaderboards driving as gtp_undutchable .
 
Forgot to mention GTP_Sjaak , he also still drives and was from the beginning a member of the Tuesday Team .
(sorry that i forgot about you Sjaak , hope i don't get banned now :bowdown::gtpflag:)
