GTP_WRS Week 40 : Weds Forest V.2.150

really bad 1st sector, and not my best splits after that first setup session, but it's the best lap I've saved...
Next SpareTimeKillingEvent  all other activities cancelled for this week :lol::lol:

First off all I would like to congratulate @Allibubba99 with his 150th TT and his excellent choice of car and circuit.

On my first outing I used @Cats_PJs tune and this car feels great and the combo is very addictive. I hope to rack up many laps. Today it was just 19 before the CL- match Barcelona vs Ajax.

Used @Mini Stiggy tune but tweaked ever so slightly (changes in bold). Not sure if I'm imagining it but it seemed to help hold the line through turn one a bit nicer and overall seemed slightly more stable.

What are you doing in D3B with those splits?

My shifter paddles on my g27 are behaving weirdly, it shifts up on the downshift side and the upshift doesn't respond when shifting but works in the menus. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

Mine acts up if I leave the shifter knob in one gear or another. I always make sure it is in neutral and I don't have any problems.

One lonely DS3 user on the board...
2 more now, so your powers are probably not as critical now as when you posted. :P Go on back to Density...

Mini Stiggy
it's probably going to be crap, because I'm really bad at explaining things:lol:.
18 "likes" in about 30hrs... pretty much refutes that. :) It's a very well-done write-up and something we need to see more of in here. I'm going to try your tune now on my first try at hitting this one. 👍

EDIT: I like how the 2kg ballast when moved to +50 *just* tips the car balance to 52:48.

I REALLY don't like how this car is so twitchy, even with the tunes. If this is how your supposed to do it with the steering wheels, then it's nearly impossible for DS3 users.

Using ministiggy's set-up but as Baron has done, I've left the gears as I had them because I couldn't be fussed to change them. Plus, and maybe strangely, I get hooked on the gear change points to create a rhythm around the track, and I find it very difficult to alter the gear change points later on...strange :odd:

EDIT: @bocowes - nice splits Ben. As an (un)interesting aside, the current D3 leader lives in Rugby, and the current D2 leader (me :D) was born in Rugby!! Used to live on Shenstone Avenue in Hillmorton for what it's worth...

Feel bad about not submitting last week, would have gotten a negative handicap but I just didn't feel like doing anything.

It was in neutral, I had to revert to an old game save for it to start working again. Strange. :boggled:

The popular tune by Mini Stiggy is a bit tail happy. You can tune some of it out by dropping the front downforce to 300 (or raising the rear to 350), the next step would be small rear toe in (+0.05), the next could be LSD deceleration settings up to 10.
All of these will make the car a bit more controllable but slower because you will need to slow down more for turns.
Only do this if you can't keep the car on the track.

I feel like I lose a little time in T1 because it's so tail happy and hard to control, but time is gained elsewhere.

After reading @Mini Stiggy summary and installing his tune came up with these.

The tune and the summary were great, thank you.

Great splits Joe and Jon, I can only assume that you'll go even faster as the week progresses. It's only Tuesday! :D

Here's mine after about 30 laps on Stiggy's:tup: tune and write-up:
