    Overview (How Does This Work?):
    • You must be part of our registry to participate.
    • These are Time Trial Events, we have Online Races here.
    • Set the game up according to the event, car and track details below.
    • Save Your BEST LAP replay before exiting your session.
    • Be sure and run cleanly to the end of the first sector after setting your fast lap. If you exit right away, your time stamp may not show up in your replay.
    • Report your split times in here, so you can compare your pace to other racers, without revealing the full lap time. (Note: this is required if participating)
    • Our leaderboard shows how you stack up during the week, before the deadline.
    • Submit your lap via PM to our Fetchbot, before the event deadline.
    • On deadline day, we will publish the results in our leaderboard and in a thread in this section.
    • Identified replays will be checked by your fellow participants to be sure you meet the event regulations.

    • The event MUST be run using your registered PSN account.
    • The use of the clutch is strictly prohibited.
    • Use of the Handbrake is Prohibited.
    • No Contact with walls or other objects. Any contact with walls, no matter how minor, will result in a DQ.
    • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times (See image below).
      • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
      • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
    • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
    • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible.
    • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty.
    • No hybrids.
    • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind. We will know.
    • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules.

Race Specifics (Rules for This Specific Event):
    • Red and White Rumble Strips and Tarmac are Track Surface. No other surfaces are track.

    Steward's Comments:

Testing teaches us time after time that some combos sound great but are terrible, and others shouldn't work but are excellent. This one is type B, and we can't have enough of it. Enjoy!

Saving Replays, Viewing sector times and Submissions:
    • You need to make sure you use the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below).
    • Before saving your replay ensure that you continue running after completing your fast lap until at least the end of first sector. This will ensure you have a complete replay.
    • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Library' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replays' option.
    • While viewing your Replay, enter the live timing screen to view your sector splits. You will need to do this after your car has passed the sector markers to see it listed.
    • Simply post the splits that are shown in the live timing screen, and our Fetchbot will parse them and add them together for your total sector time.
    • When saving your fastest lap replay please ensure that you watch the replay to the end and that it displays your full lap time. Any replays submitted that do not show the posted lap time will result in a DQ.
    • Remember - When you submit your time you're also declaring that your run is 100% clean. We request replays for the purpose of verifying to all those concerned that the drivers claim is correct, which in turn safeguards the integrity of the driver, and just as importantly, the WRS. The golden rule is to check your replay before submission. If you’re still unsure, check it again, ask for a second opinion and if you’re still undecided, run the lap again.

    • Total Lap Time.
    • Any information which can be used to infer your total lap time.

    • Please submit your FULL LAP TIME in the following format on a single line:
      X:XX.XXX

    • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week 83 Remove Entry" and any text in the body.
    • If you want to submit multiple times in the week just reply to the conversation with your new time. Fetchy always uses the last submitted time as the final one.
    • The deadline is Monday, July 1st 2019 11:59pm GMT
    • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site.
    Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

    Replay Checking:
    • Division winners and overperformers will be required to submit a replay via the GT Sport Share function for verification AFTER Unofficial Results have been posted.
    • Participants will be expected to check each others' replays for cleanliness, for replays marked in the Results thread as (Replay Verify Required).
    • Video/Youtube/Twitch replays are not accepted as a form of verification.

Openers. I am off work this week, but flying out Thursday and not returning until deadline day. Will try and get something submittable before I leave.

    26.022
    44.932

I am sure this leaves a lot on the table, not my best circuit.

But the combo was surprisingly good on Friday when testing.

I think I drove just about every N500 and N600. Makes no sense this would be the best one, but it is.

I think any of the old school tracks built into the natural landscape are among the best. A couple we don't yet have that spring to mind are Spa Francorchamps and Laguna Seca.

This track, much like other European circuits such as Spa and Hockenheim, has changed dramatically in layout with multiple renovations over the years.

It seems they have done a reasonable job of modernizing the track and making it safer, while leaving in place much of the unique nature and challenge that comes with the landscape.

This is a fun combo and already had a Dodge in my garage so no excuse to not give this a crack!

I've got quite a bit of time to find, and only sector 3 was a PB with this lap, but as it was a clean that and it's within a second per sector of @EDK time then I consider it worthy!

Couple of tangents... I saw you at a suzuka daily race last night @SuperMegaGeek, I finished 4th in the end and you 5th but I had a mare and clipped someone on the last lap getting back on the racing line after overtaking them for 3rd place, and I got a penalty to bring me from 3rd to 4th. I hope that wasn't you I clipped, I didn't see what happened behind me and I don't know who was in 3rd at the time so if it was you I am SuperMegaSorry as it cost you a place!

Also I think I'm meant to have my division placement now aren't I as I've done 3 rounds?

Times for my first go on this one are:

@Matt Jones no don't worry sir, didn't clip me. In fact I did well that race. Started 11th or 12th and ended up 5th or 6th (can't remember). I did see someone come off the track and go to the shadow realm (ghosted) towards the end of the race. I think I was a fair way behind you when crossing the line though. Love that track.
    Psn and I'll add you?

@SuperMegaGeek ok glad it wasn't you, you were definitely 5th by the way. PSN is mattinahat99 (anyone else is also welcome to add me too)

I love that track too. Managed to get a good quali time in a Mustang so had quite a few top 5 starts. Maybe it'd make a good combo for wrs!

I think I know the answer but just to be clear. A few corners the curbs ends ends with a white part that is arrow shaped. I assume it is part of the curb. Kevin can you clarify it?

First photo is the exit curb of the first corner. If the right tyre is on the tarmac before the arrow shaped white part ends your good?

Second photo just at the line of T2. In this image it's clean?

Did a few laps and I noticed it's very easy to dip a wheel too much over the curb.

First one, you are right. The arrow shaped is part of the rumble strip and you just need to make it back before it ends. The painted section is not track.

Second one, white line is not an issue, you can be right of it there. I know it helps set you up of you do it right, but seems it's more related to how the short track comes in there.

Bottom line, just the painted tarmac that's not rumble strip such as the green, yellow, and red/white over run past rumbles are this week's issues for OB.

I really like this combo, still more to be gained, and a 24.9xx is possible for S1. My optimum is still a good second faster so we’ll see when I’m back on at the weekend.

I get what you mean, I can go faster so won’t be a problem but thought i’d ask. It is hard as the tyre is right on the edge, but not on a sloped edge like the examples show above.

Well I had a few like that that ended up being best.. but I just discarded them and started fresh sessions. It's hard this track with this understeer monster.
I even tried no abs for over an hour trying to slide in every entry, when you get it right it's super fast, but as soon as you overdo it the lap is dead..
    Turned ABS back on

    25.037
    44.221

this second sector and the last sector were not fast but at least I'm confident the lap is clean and I will submit this one.

Not very comfortable in this car, feels like I can gain more under braking but when I try I shoot off the track :boggled:

We were looking for a roadcar supercar that worked, and did not have ridiculously long braking zones. Drove mostly N500 and N600 cars.

Go drive some of the others and then come back and let us know what you think of this one. ;)

I believe you, and it's a great car. I mean usually a rwd car that understeers when you put your foot back in is going to be a fast one in my experience.
Maybe it sounded like I was complaining, but I didn't mean it like that.
Merely an observation that it was indeed a challenge to keep it inbound all around the track while pushing it.
As I said earlier, this track feels to me like all work and no play, long straights then huge braking and messed up hairpins, even the esses section have no flow that you can just ease yourself into. But I find it interesting and spent a long time fighting it today, it's a great combo!
