  • Our leaderboard shows how you stack up during the week, before the deadline
  • Submit your lap via PM to our Fetchbot, before the event deadline

  • Red and White Rumble Strips and Tarmac are Track Surface. No other surfaces are track
  • White lines denote track boundary except where backed by rumble strips
  • Concrete and tarmac painted green is not track

Steward's Comments:

The perfect storm in the shape of a wonderfully balanced car and an iconic track, does it get any better than this? This track is another one of those that I have never mastered due to it's deceptive difficulty that requires almost every driving technique to get the best out of it but sets the grin wide when it all comes together.

Saving Replays, Viewing sector times and Submissions:
  • You need to make sure you use the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below)
  • Before saving your replay ensure that you continue running after completing your fast lap until at least the end of first sector. This will ensure you have a complete replay.
  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Library' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replays' option.
  • While viewing your Replay, enter the live timing screen to view your sector splits. You will need to do this after your car has passed the sector markers to see it listed.
  • Simply post the splits that are shown in the live timing screen, and our Fetchbot will parse them and add them together for your total sector time.
  • When saving your fastest lap replay please ensure that you watch the replay to the end and that it displays your full lap time. Any replays submitted that do not show the posted lap time will result in a DQ.
  • Remember - When you submit your time you're also declaring that your run is 100% clean. We request replays for the purpose of verifying to all those concerned that the drivers claim is correct, which in turn safeguards the integrity of the driver, and just as importantly, the WRS. The golden rule is to check your replay before submission. If you’re still unsure, check it again, ask for a second opinion and if you’re still undecided, run the lap again.

  • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Remove Entry" and any text in the body.
  • If you want to submit multiple times in the week that is still not a problem. Just reply to the conversation with your new time. Fetchy always uses the last submitted time as the final one.
  • The deadline is Monday, January 29th 2018 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site
Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Replay Checking:
  • Division winners and overperformers will be required to submit a replay via GT Sport Share function for verification AFTER Unofficial Results have been posted.
  • Participants will be expected to check each others' replays for cleanliness, for replays marked in the Results thread as (Check Needed)
  • Video/Youtube/Twitch replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:
OLR Team

We arrived at this combo in the Friday beer room. Although the BOP makes the car less than competitive in sport mode, I think it's one of the best driving Gr.4 cars on the game.

We were all running with some very basic adjustments to aero, LSD and toe. While we're allowing more tuning than that, it's a very approachable combo that does not require a lot of tuning to get in the groove with this car.

EDIT: And coming off that that Corvette, we thought you guys might like to have some grip. ;)

BTW, some good baseline settings would be -

Aero 250/500
Toe zero'd out front and rear.
LSD 10/20/10

Transmission change from stock to fully custom. Without adjustments, it was fast. And a close ratio gearbox seemed to make the car slower, I will have to mess with it some more.

I should have a good initial complete tune later today.

Code:
Tune so far, stock suspension except:
Camber: 1.5 / 3.0
toe out: .15 out / .20 in
Downforce: 250 / 550
LSD 10 / 50 / 10

Top speed: 168
Final: 3.3
3.912
2.822
2.088
1.692
1.458
1.298
1.193

Only utilizing 6 gears, my tweaking so far was aimed towards using a single gear for the esses (3rd) and timing the shift to 4th near the apex of the corner just after T1 which serves the same purpose as a slight throttle lift. The sweet spot for shifting seems to be around 8.3k rpm.

This car is definitely fantastic right out of the box. I'm almost afraid to touch any of the settings at all! It was much better in sport mode at the being of the game and seems to have had a kick in the nuts since then unfortunately.

My usual orange livery is out there as well if anyone wants it....#dbp.

How do you discover the sweet spot for everycar? I always copy the fastest guys but I would like to understand how do you do that

10.1 in T2??? Oh my, I suck!

I just use my ghost as a comparison normally. Your start speed should be fairly similar lap to lap making it pretty easy to experiment with shift points as long as you need to change gears before the first turn. In this case you'll be shifting 1 to 2 times after the start/finish and the long straight at Suzuka makes it easy to discern the differences in varying the shift point.
