We are proud to present to you the third season of the GTPFIA championship the GTPFIA GT Omega World Cup! All the cars available in this series have been homologated by the GTPFIA and have undergone a fair amount of testing to ensure that they remain competitive. Should there be a pattern of dominance from any car(s), adjustments to the regulations may be required as the season progresses.

The car selection process will be open on November 5 2011, Season 2 champions Ultrap13 and Tissimo will have priority on car choice.

On Track Conduct
All GTPlanet online racing rules and guidelines apply. GTPlanet OLR Rules
Any on track incident must be reported within 24 hours of the race official starting time for evaluation by one of the Race Stewards and will only be conducted via personal message. If an infraction is found to be committed, penaltie(s) in accordance with the severity of the incident will be applied.
These penalties can range from time penalties to disqualification from a race or the entire Championship.

Drivers' Responsibilities
A thread will be created for each race during it's particular week. It is the drivers responsibility to report on that thread his/her availability to race in order to mantain a full grid. Reserve drivers will be asked to fill the void spaces as they open up. Please refer to the last section of this Post#2 for further details.

House Rules
- There will be a maximum allowed limit of 2 of the same car and 8 cars per class.
- We will allow 1 and only 1 car change per person per season as we don't want anyone to be running the whole season in a car they don't like.
- Car suggestions/enquiries must be submited to an official for homologation/testing process before official aproval.

Any on track incident, doubt, clarification or question can be adressed by the series stewards. every case will be evaluated and a decision will be reached and official after the stewards have reached a verdict. For any help regarding the series please contact any of the Race Stewards.

- All drivers must comply to the Power and Weight restriction listed in the Car List above.
- ABS allowed.
- TCS Banned for division 1, maximum of TCS 1 allowed for division 2.
- Drivng line banned.
- Active steering banned.
- Skid recovery force banned.
- Tire wear/fuel consumption ON.
- Boost will be turned off.
- Grip reduction will be set to real.
- Slipstream will be set to weak.
- Damage will be set to heavy.
- Penalties will be turned off.
- Tire selection is unrestricted.
- All tuning, and setting adjustments are allowed per the discretion of each driver.

Each race will run a lenght from 55 to 65 minutes with the final round consisting of a 2hr enduro.

Qualifying will take place before the race with a 20 minute free run qualifying session.

Before the start of the race the cars will be called to track using the text chat in a specific order to verify the legality of the cars. Once a car has been called on track the car must stay on the pits and will not be allowed to go back into the lobby. Mics will be turned off during the race.
Once every car is on the pits/track the race will be started.
Once the race countdown has reached 0 NO ONE MOVES.
Once race control gives the comand for pace lap the field will start rolling.
All drivers MUST remain in formation in their respective slots:

If a driver crosses the start line out of position, he/she will be assessed a time penalty.

At the end of season 3 the series champion will be awarded with a brand new GT Omega Racing Simulator courtesy of the good people at GT Omega Racing, the home of simulation racing! Only division 1 participants are elegible for the championship prize.

The divisons will be determined by a series of 6 time trials on 6 different tracks using the Zonda R from the online recomended garage. The lowest cumulative times will determine division placement. Each time trial run will be set to 5 laps and only the fastest clean lap will be recorded. All aids including TCS will be off, heavy damage will be on, tire wear/fuel consumption on, racing soft tires. All time trial runs have to be witnesed by a GTPFIA official, everyone with the exeption of Ultrap13 and Tissimo have to go trugh this process before the deadline date on November 5 at 12AM US EST.

The following announcements are effective immediately.
-The GTPFIA GT Omega World Cup will restart February 12.
-From now on Soft tires are banned, if tire wear gets an adjustment in future updates it will be evaluated and implemented if aproved by the GTPFIA.
-The Ford GT Spec II Test Car is now banned and the Test Car drivers will switch to the Ford GT Spec II Race Car.

In the thread its kind of hidden imo should be brought up top (with a picture of it or something). Something to bring it out more. Most probably didn't even read the first couple posts (old regulars) I would assume.

It is awesome though!! An absolutely outstanding prize! Hopefully will bring a packed field with lots of competition.

I need to do some conditioning, not great at pushing 100% for an hour.
