If you plan on some day owning an xbox go with Fanatec's CSW, if the answer is no then T500 is the best wheel arround. Now on the subject of pedals Fanatec's Club Sports are the definite champion on their price range.

If it was me and I wasn't planing on owning an xbox I'd go with the G27 + Nixim Mod.

Its just that i was worried as i had heard people saying Fanatec Wheels break....

I have a gt3 rs, that is now just sitting in my garage. The clubsport pedals have been nothing but trouble for me too, constanly need adjustment. If I were you I would get a g27 or wait on the new elite wheel, but do not buy the first run ever. I just use a dfgt now. I tried my friends g27 and loved it.

Dfgt- great wheel for the price, but lacks feel on turn into corners.

Fanatec gt3 rs- great FF, but full of glitches for me, I was always 1 sec slower almost everywhere compared to a dfgt. This is after 2 months of daily practice. Also the pedals are nice to look at, but that's all they're for.

G27- this is a nice solid step up from dfgt. When I tried it I felt comfortable right away, and was consistently faster then my dfgt.

Good luck on finding a new wheel.

Only problem i had with my fanatec stuff is the crappy standard pedals, then my Clubsports has some grease seep out of the joint causing erratic pedal reading... Every time I've contacted them about my wheel, they've been quick to respond.

I contacted fanatec, and they sent me some parts and told me to do the work myself, so.........

I'm not a fan, but I'm still exceed about the elite, I think it's a game changer.

The Nixim modd transforms the G25/g27 pedals completely! Makes switching to no abs easier. Gives more feel to the clutch as well, but I rarely use the clutch these days!

I keep hearing strange thing s about the fanatec wheels....I dont want the throttle fallling apart on me mid race....

nah i don;t hae any plans on getting an xbox or forza 4. the handling in forza isnt as realistic as in GT5 even though gt5 ha had stranger days. Forza is almost annoying.

Lol! When they work they are a beauty, when they go wrong it is an absolute pain in the butt! But they won't go in a catastrophic ball of fire, it's very progressive and you'll catch it before it goes.
Like I said, if Forza is not in your plans go with the G27, htere's a ton of sweet sweet aftermarket stuf for it!

Clear your PM box sir. ;)

i will try extra hard to get a G27. going to need to work overtime at my campus job lol.

the combination of an upright seating position and flappy DFGT throttle pedals makes for lead foot syndrome.

Oh Seth, if you see my previous post ^^^/\^^^
There may be a small chance I could donate a portion of the cost for some lightly used wheel and pedals (with new potentiometers). Hmmm I wonder if i could write off a donation-in-kind or something to a starving college student, I'll look in to it and get back to you.... Furthermore as today is my ahem.... birthday... ahem... I may have a bit of news for you this evening. I am having trouble finding solid info about if those ecci wheel and pedals are in any way compatible with the ps3, specifically, which model is built on the g25/27 "infrastructure". I know that many of the high-high end wheels and pedals need a separate usb out for both the pedals and wheel (which is not compatible with the ps3 for sure.) Does anyone have any suggestions or advice aside from that which is already found in the thread? Last thing, Are the Fanatec pedals and wheel REALLY that loud, sound is a bit of an issue unfortunately.

Posi check the Frex wheel out, it can be made to work with the PS3 and it really is one of the best out there.
Now regarding the pedals, with the Clubsports you will get that metal to metal contact sound from the clutch and gas pedals every time, is it loud? Not really, but I guess is more an issue of how much noise is too loud...

That was a bad race for me man i totally regret what I just did fell free to hand out penalties as you see fit

Terrible race on my end. Maybe one day I will have some luck and get a top five.

Honestly tired of walking away Sundays frustrated. Two of my races have been basically ruined by being ran into.

Not fun. Not fun working your tail off to never be on pace. Blah I'm salty. Gonna go kill people on MW3 I think.

First Wins are the best wins. Being my first ever victory in online GT5 Championship Racing, I am ecstatic. What a great race!

I guess theres nothing left for me to do.

These races fry my brain.
I couldnt even count to thirteen when I was trying to figure out what lap to make pit on after my first stop.............

I had an epic fun yet frightening scrap with magzire for majority of the race.
