I've been getting this for about a day.

Threads in the forums are updating.
 
Is any particular page returning that error, Dave? I can't seem to replicate it.

I get that if I refresh, tap "GTPlanet" on the top, and tap forward & back arrows.

Thinking about deleting and reinstalling. That would reset Favorites and whatnot though?
 
I still wasn't able to re-create the issue, the forward and back buttons work as expected. You could try deleting and re-installing the app if you want, but I'm not sure that will help. Everything should be just as you left it in terms of subscribed threads, etc.
 
Moved to a new phone, and I have to say the app is phenomenal. Great job Jordan.
 
Indeed. Bought a smartphone friday and the 1st thing i looked for when i turned on my Wifi was the Android market so i could download the GTP aplication :D. Great work Jordan:tup:.
 
Jordan, concerning the Search feature. Can you add "Search" to the individual forums? I'm trying to find a tune for a specific car and I'm getting a lot of irrelevant results from other forums than the GT5 Tuning Forum.
 
Just scroll up when viewing a forum to reveal the forum-specific search bar, Dave.
 
I'd like to report a bug in the app:
Whenever you click on a thread (usually by accident) and then leave the thread right away (within a couple seconds of clicking on the thread) the app crashes.
 
I can't re-create that problem, Schwartz. Is there any particular thread where you can see that occur?

Edit: Okay, well what I found goes along with some of the other issues I have observed with app.
1.The longer the app has been running, the more likely it is to crash at any time.
2.You can tell when the app is going to crash soon because when you click on a thread, the text in some posts doesn't show up, leaving just a big empty white space under some people's names and icons icon.

I tested the issue I told you about again just after I opened the app and logged in. Then I went into the "last 3 days" section. I then entered a thread and left it right away (before it had a chance to load). The app didn't crash. Then I did it 4-6 times in a row, clicking on a different thread each time, and the app froze up and crashed. I was able to replicate this every time I tested it. The longer the app has been running and being used, it develops a progressively lower tolerance on what will make it crash, which means opening/closing a thread just once or twice after you have been using the app for a while is enough to crash the app.

It happens 90% of the time for me (I am on iPhone 4) on just about any thread. I'll try it right now.

iPhone 4 and iPhone 3G perform so different. My 3G out performs my wife's 4 when I chop and change in relation to things crashing. But mine is slower as well. What phone do you have?

I'm on an iPod touch 4, ands it's fine for me. I do agree with your point #1, and it crashes especially on long posts, like the banned user log.

Oh yes I forgot about that. You can't look at the GT5 master car list either.
 
And I don't know if anyone else gets this but I get "Error 1005" a lot, when submitting posts and loading threads. If it comes up it cancels the action, meaning thread not opened or post not submitted. It can be very annoying.

I haven't gotten that... But probably about half the times I submit posts it just sits there saying "sending" until I have to hit cancel. It still posts, so its not a big deal.

Today, 12/27, the "share" function of News stories no longer works. The position o that button has moved from right to left. There is also an "add to instapaper" button now on the right.

Jordan, whomever at Forum Runner changed whatever, it needs to be fixed!

Can't share stories via Facebook, Twitter, nor email until this is brought back.

Today, after I reinstalled the app (experiencing a few minor problems), I couldn't find the "Switch to Desktop" button anywhere in the News section.
If someone could please help me with this issue, that would be great.

Click a news story, scroll to the bottom, turn Mobile Theme off. 👍

You're right it doesn't. Odd. Though the recent server problems were caused by the news page, so that could be a reason.

My app crashed. Now the tool bar from the bottom of screen is halfway up the page. I deleted and reloaded the app. I will try going into Browser mode.(I think that's what it's called.)

It works fine in the Browser mode. Any ideas please.
