Gave the GT86 a go and got an 8:21.941 with a few mistakes which lost me a couple of seconds, if anyone wants a replay to look at I've uploaded one to the storefront which contains an 8:23 and the 8:21 lap, I believe I called it "gtpweekly1".

Nice! 👍

I took the Escort Cossie out. It's not a contender compared to the GT86 in D: while it's fine enough in turns, it gets murdered on long straights. The Toyota sits at 139/140 on the uphill section of the back straight, but the Ford can't get over 132. Still, managed an 08:29.758. Good enough for me!

Is anybody opposed to adding HP and weight to the boards? I'll take care of the Stock board, but thought it'd be interesting to see if people are going for lightness or power in the Modified field.

Finally put in a time for the GT86 - probably will go back and improve it again cause I'm still well off the pace!

Also I think you missed these stock times from the last page @SlipZtrEm that I added.

The trick is learning the track, really. Going back to GT4, I ran probably a thousand laps there. Nearly that in GT5. Turn on the driving line, it'll pay dividends on a track with such long straights. Getting out of turns at a decent clip will easily shave a second or two each time. I shifted up early on the back straight the first time in the Toyota, and it cost me 4mph by the bridge. The GT86 should stay up in the revs as long as you can manage.

I'm not sure how to easily capture a lap on the One without Kinect, but maybe one of the other guys will end up sharing a video. When I re-run, I can save the replay so I can share it through the game at least.

Thank you @SlipZtrEm! I turned the driving line on as you suggested although I felt bad and like a noob but then I realised I do suck so I am on noob level...

So yeah I still suck but I was able to shave off 40 seconds and did a 9:07.xxx problem is that it was a dirty lap. I tried again just now and did a clean one about 5 seconds slower. Here it is my humble and pitiful submission...

By the way @Speedster911, @symo63 where are you guys? You're missing all the fun (and my public humiliation:) )

Edit: Fixed lap info. Why can't I get the colored font?

Don't even worry about that, I use the driving line as well.

Thanks for updating my times @SlipZtrEm 👍 I tried giving the GT86 a shot last night but I was a bit inebriated at the time due to bday festivities. I could not drive for the life of me  gave up before my first lap was even done.

Not a problem, let's call it a birthday gift? :P. Hope it was a good one!

You'll have to quote the OP, the necessary codes are in there. Don't sweat it though if you can't, the boards are populated enough now that I just copy/paste as needed.

Happy with this for now, may try and improve it when some more times are submitted but I've still got another second in me somewhere.

Seems you've won the Weekly Challenge Lukas, so I'll let you pick this week's car/rules! :)

I wasn't even able to give it a shot! :( been a little busy and by the time I would get home I just wasn't into it. Hopefully I can get into the next one !

You can do it whenever you'd like! You just won't be in contention to pick the next one. :P

Thanks, how about a stock 1992 Honda NSX-R? I've been playing through the career mode some more these last few days and found this car was a blast to drive.

I'm definitely going to give it a go today if I dont happen to stay overtime. Otherwise I'll keep prolonging it and forget again

What version of the track? I will have a go tonight bud. See what I can do. Might be rusty. lol

Here's a time for the stock NSX-R, the cars right on par with the M3 from a couple of weeks ago which is reflected by the PI values. Not a great lap as I missed a few apexes and fell out of the Karussell again.

Definitley a sub 8 minute car if you get the lap right.

Lukas, tried adding you but can't seem to find you on the xbox. Is your gamertag spelt Im_Lukas?

Nice time and I agree with the sub 8 minute, my gamertag is lukas2121, will hopefully have you added in a minute or two.

Here's my time so far. Only managed a standing lap, as the very next lap on the first few turns I flew off track and got frustrated

You are not wrong Bibble. On a side note though, you are more often than not faster than me on FM5. I have been below you a number of times on the LB, so I am fully expecting for you to drop a 7:58.xxx at some point. I sometimes pick your ghost to go up against, as it provides me a bit of a challenge; and often helps me to improve a little.

Sorry that I never got a time in for the GT86, had my little brother stop over for the past 2 weeks. spent most of my time playing magic the gathering and monopoly with him, lol.

Nice time lalym, just did the below.

7:59.065 - 1992 Honda NSX-R - MR - 477 - RPM Bibblefish - Controller

Messed up and fell out of the karrussel so would have been low 7:58 i reckon.
Got to say i'm not a big fan of this car stock, lots of lift off oversteer and 2nd gear is a lap killer if you don't get the revs right while downshifting.

Knew it wouldn't take long for you to get past my time, good going. Gives me something to aim for when I do another run.

I have had a bit of practice but need more before I post with some of these times. Will have some time this weekend and will let you know @Fat Tyre

Finally got around to taking the NSX around the track:

08:05.340 - 1992 Honda NSX-R - MR - 477 - SlipZtrEm - Controller

A lot of fun. Don't think I'll crack the magical 480-second mark, but I'm not too concerned. A little sad that I can't match the Z4 time, even though that car does benefit from a pretty substantial PI advantage.

I'll run this challenge out until Sunday evening, then we'll go for a new car!

I took the HSV GTS and FG Falcon around the track.

Looks like I need to play a bit more. These are first lap times with grid start.

7:59? That is pretty good!

They are ok but most times will be better on the second lap without the start, so I will put some more time into it I think mate and I can easily wipe seconds off them.
Can't wait for Forza 6.

I just throw it in reverse and head to the final turn, then shift back into first and start the lap. Gives me enough of a run-up to pretty much match any running laps, if I do manage to keep the first one clean.

Alrighty, the fastest person in the M3 picked the 86 Hot Lap, so we'll start from the bottom this time: @ImaRobot gets to pick the new challenge for Week 03! :D

I'm not sure whether I should be happy or sad

I say we do the 2012 Lotus Exige S.

Interesting choice there, kind of makes me wish I still had a TX wheel.
I was originally going to pick something FWD and in the lower range, but decided on something a little quicker, as well as a bit more fun.

This car is so unpredictable, sometimes I start sliding and it just corrects itself and other times it leaves me to correct it. Still I find it a fun car and with some more time I can see 7:44s being possible for me.
