Why not the Ford GT??

I don't have any driving time in the GT3 version of the Ford GT. So, I would not want to risk someone else's race in a car I won't be too comfortable in. Same reason why I've left the RUF off the list.

Man! We would've loved to have you on the team, but I undestand...I would feel the same way in your possition. Hope to see you on track for the event, hopefully on an HPD!! Lol!!

Is there afew times this week we all could get together? I'll host, If there are no practice lobbies.

Hey Jav, I sent you an invite. Haven't raced for some months but watching Daytona I got motivated again. Built the rig up again and did some laps. Felt goood

Well it has been a week since the Roar and I am also very motivated after seeing the real race!!
Time to get back on the horse tonight guys! See you all on track soon!!
I'll add you tonight Carlos!

Yeah guys same here after watching the real race I'm more pumped for our race now! Monday's are always terrible for me because of work but I'm down to practice for sure Tuesday night and Thursday night. I might possibly be good for Wednesday as well but me and a buddy are going to the indoor kart track so not sure when I'll be back or how I'll be feeling. If we can come up with a good time for everyone I'll host a session if needed. I think we need to go that route because its hard to communicate and get clean laps in the open practice servers. Also we really need to get the setup situation sorted since we know now for sure we have to all run the same setup except for what we can do in car and in the pits on our own.

Depends on my work schedule, doing early/late/night shifts. Plan something and I'll let you know 👍

Alright, weather seems to be the same as the Roar so we know the Setup will work well. One thing I noticed was that there was a minute imbalance in it, just a click on the front ride height in one of the corners so you guys might wanna take a look at it. I'm ok for tomorrow Tuesday after 9PM US EST and already have confirmation from my boss for the weekend off so I'm good to start the car, good for night stints and good morning/closing stints so let's get the planning on that started as well!

Yea I'm good to practice tonight around 9pm as well. I can host up a session if you guys want from 9-11 pm eastern.

@Dhalism It's been awhile since I've been on iRacing but I believe a team has it's own user ID number, I think you can load the paint on Trading Paints by the Team ID number. Someone maybe able to correct me if I'm wrong.

New build coming out on thursday for the Daytona 24. Couple things that will affect us.

First, fuel economy will be decreased. We should see only 31 laps on a tank now.
• We are making an update to the fuel economies on the Ford GT GT3 and the Ruf Track Cars. We increased fuel usage (reduced mpg) 4.5% on the Ford GT GT3 and 1.4% on the Ruf. We based calculations on testing that was done by Alpha Testers. Our goal was to have all the cars make around 31 laps per tank of fuel.

Second, there will be a damage update. No more "Too much Damage, you're done", everything will be fixable.
We are working on having the pit crew replace parts that are too damaged to repair, instead of simply ending your race with a disqualification for being too damaged. Replacing a part will generally take a fairly long amount of time (particularly if multiple parts are badly damaged), so in short races you may not be able to get your car fixed before the race is over. For instance, swapping in a fresh engine can take just over 30 minutes, and replacing the suspension on a corner of the car will take just over 8 minutes. We only will be focused on cars that will be in the Daytona 24 hour race for this build as we do not have enough time to test every car but in the future we will include all cars.

sorry to leave last night without saying anything, but i was having puppy problems. Damn thing is a menace.

Haha no worries man I know how that can be. I'm glad mine is 4 now so I don't have to worry about that puppy stage.

Practice went pretty well last night. Everybody is running almost the same times and consistent as well. I think we got a pretty good shot at a decent result. I don't think the fuel update will make any difference for us, but being able to fix all repairs now will be nice as that pretty much guarantees us to finish the race long as nothing major happens in the last hour. I'm down for some more practice tomorrow night. I can host again if need be. I was thinking maybe for an hour we should do some team practice and have us all in there and we do say 5 laps a person and then do a driver change then that person does 5 laps then we repeat until all of us have gone. Since I didn't get any running in the practice race I have still yet to do a driver swap and I would like to do one at least once before the real race.

Also when me, Jav and Aaron were still in the room we kinda decided on using my setup if that's ok. Just wanted to make sure you other guys were ok with running it. I tried Jersey's setup when I first got into the room last night and it felt ok, but I'm a whole lot slower with it. On my setup I changed the front ride heights so they are even now and a little lower and I was able to best my lap by a tenth and half before the end there. I'll try and pm it to everyone up here and if not I can do it through the iracing forums.

I was using your setup also before I left. That's fine with me. It felt good.

Might not be on tonight depending on how smooth my new processor and motherboard install goes tonight. Installing the parts should be a snap. Reinstalling os and iracing and all the updates is a different story.

That's cool. I won't be in until later myself. Maybe we can just jump in a official practice and do the driver swap if there are enough of us on around 10-10:30. I can get on tomorrow night after 9:30 if anybody else want to practice any then as well.

I'll actually be on in a few minutes. Got everything up and working. Curious to see if there is an improvement in a 40 plus car grid.

Gonna skip pracgtice tonight guys... Got a slight cold and want to rest so it'll hopefully be gone by tomorrow...

I've got a slight issue for saturday. I won't be able to get on until roughly 6pm. Hopefully we can make the stints work To make fair share work. I have an idea of how to make it work.

8am -11am - ?
12pm - 2pm - ?
2pm - 6pm - ?
6pm - 9pm - keith
9pm -11pm - ?
11pm - 2am - ?
2am - 5am - ?
5am - 8am - ?

So my plan for stints would be this since i can't get on until around 6. Someone would run an extra hour there first sting and then only a 2 hour stint there second. Would something like that work for everyone so we can all drive are fair share to be eligible. The 4 hour stint and the 2 hour stint doesn't need to be those times but that was just for visual of whats in my head.

Well, when it rains it pours. Guys, I'm sorry to let you all down but i went to do some practice after work today & my wheel took a sh:censored:. I've been trying everything I know of but it's not looking good. Luckily I have a friend who is an Electrical Engineer, So I hopefully won't have to buy a new wheel but it's very doubtful that I will be able to race this weekend. Sucks too, I was really looking forward to this :(. Again sorry guys....

Well that sure throws a stick into the spokes lol. I still think we can make it work with 4 total and Keith only available after 6 pm. Just puts the 3 of me, Jav and Aaron running the first 8 hours. Me personally I'd rather run 2, 2 hour stints rather than running 4 hours straight. I really think that's pushing it because if I'm honest in the last years 2.4's I did I was pretty much done for after the race was over. I could manage to run a little bit more, but not 4 hours. That's about 4 full fuel runs. I think we break it down into 2 hour stints or 2 fuel runs. If I'm understanding the fair share thing right 200-220 laps would be even for each person total over the 24 hours and I think we have to do just 25% of that so that's about a fuel run and a half to meet the minimums then after that its whatever.

Maybe something along these lines.

8am - 10am - Jav
10am - 12pm - Aaron
12pm - 2pm - Jason
2pm - 4pm - Jav
4pm - 6pm - Aaron or Jason
6pm - 8pm - Keith
8pm - 10pm - ?
10pm - 12am - ?
12am - 2am - ?
2am - 4am - ?
4am - 6am - ?
6am - 8am - ?

I know it breaks down to a lot more stints total and less rest time in between but I think it better than doing 3-4 hours a stint. We could maybe bump it up 2.5 hours a stint.

Whatever works for everyone else works for me. I'll be on around 9ish tonight and we can discuss things.

Yeah I'll be on around 9-9:30 as well. I can host up another session if you guys want so we can chat and figure everything out. I can do it like last time or I can do it as a team session so we can practice the driver swaps.

Here's another way I was thinking about we could do it. Its more or less following the same outline as I posted earlier and trying to even it out as much as possible for everyone. With 4 drivers and to even it out for everyone that puts us driving a total of 6 hours a piece.

8am - 10am - Jav
10am - 12pm - Aaron
12pm - 2pm - Jason
2pm - 4pm - Jav
4pm - 6pm - Aaron
6pm - 8pm - Keith
8pm - 10pm - Jason
10pm - 12am - Jav
12am - 2am - Aaron
2am - 4am - Keith
4am - 6am - Jason
6am - 8am - Keith
