I didnt race but our team got 3rd place in the 3rd split in the Ford of all things after not qualifying and they just stayed out of trouble the whole time. đź‘Ť
 
That was pretty cool, really glad I got the chance to do that with you guys. May not have been the result we were looking for, but I still had a blast. Was definitely the most intense race I've ever done, knowing that you're sharing the car with 3 other guys just makes it special. Glad we got to the end.

We ended up 2 spots ahead of our starting position, it doesn't show the speed we had but ultimately is where we ended up, and an improvement is always a good thing!! On lap 6 I was on 10th and in position to move up following Team Fenix as soon as the car in front of us made a mistake, the car behind us in 11th got inpatient and decided to overtake, to which we placed no resistance as we very well understood the nature of this beast of a race.
Once that car went by he decided to force the issue and when they did make the mistake they made it in the worst part of the track(the buss stop), Team Fenix squeezed trough, I wasn't so lucky... By the end of my stint Team Fenix was already on 2nd spot and I feel very certain I was quicker...anyhow could've would've, should've does not change the fact that I was sitting back in 14th or something like that when it came time to hand over the car to Aaron. I think my early mistakes pretty much set the tone for our race, always playing catch up and as soon as we would catch up we would find attrition...

On another note, theres something thats just awesome about making a sweet pass at 1am. Made a great move for 12th at the second hairpin around 12:30, felt pretty damn good.
 
Damn!!! The car never looked that bad on my screen!! The wing damage was there, but not the nose damage, in fact the left side of the car was clean til around 5PM when some 26 laps down on us idiot I overtook on the straight decided to dive bomb me in T1... Wow!!

Edit: I just realized you said 1AM PST and not 1PM EST... Lol! Poor ugly beast got beaten up badly but kept going like a champ!!
 
Even though we didn't get the result we were expecting or deserved the race was still a blast. We for sure had the speed for a top 5 or so but needed some luck as well. Im not really superstitious in life in general but in racing I am lol. I knew when I got in the car and saw we were #13 that was a bad start haha. Like Jav said Ive never done a 24 hour race of any kind before either only the 2.4's each year and its a a whole different ball game like I was expecting. Just finishing a race so long on the car's own power is an accomplishment in itself.

Overall I'm somewhat happy with my stints. I wish I was a few tenths faster on 2 of the fuel runs. It seemed on my 2nd and 3rd stint it took until the 2nd fuel run before I was doing what the last guy was doing in the car. I did keep telling myself not to go push 100% and try and just make clean laps cause giving up .2 -.3 tenths a lap is better that 3-4 mins of pit repairs and damages to the car. The time we were in the pits getting repairs is not what really hurt us but the damage to the car's speed. It was just a couple mph off when I got in my first stint but 10 mph off in my last. I felt I had a decent run in it though with just 4 mins of repair through 6 hours of driving and 31 incidents. I never hit any other cars but a car did get into my back bumper in one of the hairpins but it was a 0x so except for that one wall hit that Im still mad at myself for all my incidents were off tracks mainly in the bus stop. I guess being A license you don't gain no way near as much cause I only gained .29 SR. We did have the highest total incidents of everybody lol.

All in all the race was really fun and cool to share the car with you guys. I wish there was a another one in a couple of weeks. Makes me want to look into joining an endurance league.
 
I surely hope iRacing listens to their community and ditches the Road Warrior concept replacing it by the iRacing Endurance Championship!

What do you guys think? BMW for the 12 Hours of Sebring? Aston Martin if it's out by then??
I'm really hoping we can get 2 cars for Sebring and work out a way to be on the same split!
 
Go to the Teams Tab and find GTPlanet racing, the team id is 14936, you can search by id# I believe as well.
 
Thinking about Sebring already... Looking forward to that one and hopefully we can get a second car in the same split!!

Yeah, it has its group of followers but I'm with Jersey on this one. It just isn't good enough, it's rFactor 1 with some physics tweaks.(not too great tweaks)...
 
Sent a request - just got back into iRacing (at least temporarily, while I have time). I haven't purchased many cars/tracks yet, any suggestions?
 
Welcome back! Right now the GT-3 Cars are the most popular in the service.
 
I'm looking forward to doing another endurance race for sure but Sebring has never been a good track for me. Only raced there twice in all my time on iracing. Once the new update comes out I'll for sure have to get on some practice there. I'm down for using the bmw as I'm not sure if the aston's will be out by then. We can just see after the update and see which car would be best.

I also noticed they added some more endurance races the 6 hours at Watkins Glenn and 24 hrs of Spa and also an endurance championship within the road warrior series. I down to do all the endurance races.
 
Can't participate at Sebring due to work, same for Glen, Spa and Petit Le Mans. That sucks đź‘Ž Maybe I'll take the day of for Spa, my favorite circuit :)
 
I know sebring is a ways away, but do you guys wanna get together sometime soon and start practicing. It sure can't hurt.

Might have a bit of down time in W13 as I might use it for a cockpit overhaul, but other than that most any time is good for me!

I was busy this weekend but I'm down for some practice this week. I can host up a session if you guys want. Any night this week is fine with me. Doing a 9-11 pm session would be the best. Could do a little earlier on Tuesday- Thursday.

Also wanted to go ahead and let you guys know I'll only be able to do one stint in the race and it will likely have to be the first one. That day is the first race in this new series my buddy is racing in so I'm going to the track that day to give him a hand.
