:banghead: So many great models and the SF Auto show. Need a small fortune though. :grumpy: Two of the ones I could remember were the... (didn't waste my time asking $$) CTS-V and Xsara .

heh! links r the wrong way round but yea those are 2 sweet plain body race cars! i love the look of roadgoing race cars. very much worth the ££ u spend (would have) on them! 👍

opps... yeah, I'd rather have them in black like this though.

My new acquisition. Autoart Porsche Carrera GT 👍

I might have to get one since that one looks incredible.

A few days ago, I added a 310 Motoring Diablo GTR. My 5th one now.
I also noticed MotorWorks is making 1:12 cars for about $30-$40, and I've only seen 3.
M-B SLR McLaren
Ford GT
Gulf Edition Ford GT

The SLR one looks really good actually.

I've got just over 50 1:18 rides, ranging from a Solido VW Bus to a Maisto Audi R8R. Also have a few duplicates ('57 Corvette, Pantera, '70 Chevelle...they were gifts, after all. ;)).
I'd love to add even more, but needless to say I'm running low on space. :(

I'd like some pictures of:

If you can please :).

I don't have much space, I need new shelves, but with the acrylic cover its expensive. Anyone knows a cheaper way? Sorry for image quality :( I had a hard time for close pics

They don't work cause they link to imageshack.us instead of linking to the pictures. Did you copy the "thumbnail for forums 1"-code from the code page?

Yes this is what I did. Do you think I should try the 2nd one?

Thanks.

Does anyone know any good Diecast Model Car websites, that sell in the UK. And it must be a UK Diecast shop.

Talking about new acquisitions. Here are two very, very, very nice cars I just came back with:

And my favourites:

The Maybach has to be in a separate box, right? :)

.. And a 1:6 R/C Enzo :) Sorry it's not a 1:18 but had to post it.

That's a nice car, who makes this?

Exoto does. Well, at least it's labeled as an Exoto but they're made by Motorbox. Not as good as Exoto primes but usually better than AUTOart for instance, but priced higher too.

If you make an exception for details, AutoART really isn't worth all the money.
I told this to a guy who works in a small boutique, and guess what he told me :

"Well AUTOart aren't made for children so they're usually more fragile than UT, for example, because UT are intended for younger people". :indiff:

Anybody here feels like he's paying too much for AUTOart?
If it wasn't for the details and the beauty, I'd never pay 130$ CDN for a Maybach or a Bugatti, but I did.

I also have an IS300 and a 22B, and I'm always scared to break them whenever I move them. Really, there's no exageration here. 👎. What's that? Exoto? I'll try that if I can find one 👍

Oh well, here's what I just got :

I know what you mean. They're nicely detailed and look great but they feel fragile. This is compared to my other cars of different brands (Kyosho, Minichamps and Exoto). The steering is often kinda loose and they don't weigh too much, feeling kinda plastic. Don't care too much though since they're on a shelf 99% of the time.

I believe Motorbox is a division of Exoto (aka the 'low end' Exoto). Although I don't have any Motorbox 1/18s in my collection, I think Autoart's Millenium line has some terrific models. The 190E and the E30s are some of their best work to date. 👍

But isn't the detail what we're paying the premium for in this hobby? In the fragile departmeent, I believe that Autoarts are much better than the UTs(fragile door hinges on MacF1s, melting wheels, peeling decals and so on).

I must congratulate you on the 22B. It is a VHTF model nowadays. If you think that you'll break them sometime in the future , I suggest that you sell it before you do. :sly:

I would go for the #2 XJR-9 LM if I were you. At least that one was the race winner in 1988. The only down side to this model is that they don't have the Silk Cut sponsorship on the 1/18. :indiff:

Yep, guess so. Of course AUTOart has some models with Exoto/Motorbox quality, but usually those costs a little more than a standard Aa does. For me though, AUTOart quality is just fine, and when I want something special I go for Exoto's premium models. Actually have two coming up soon. Posts pics as soon as I get them

Beautiful Merc btw! The sound of those 190s are great, at least of what I've heard in video captures. Haven't (sadly) heard anyone IRL.
