Only the NSX was recently released then. I waiting for the other Honda to appear in limited numbers.

This is worth a bump:




Can't help but feel the single-tone paint always looks cheap.

However this is fairly detailed and it's a bright green Muscle!

Got three new cars, all classic 3 liter racing 911s, the 3.0 Carrera RSR (Spark) with the Gelo Racing 1975 Le Mans class winner livery, a 3.0 SC/RS with the Rothmans livery (from Otto, my first from the brand and I need to put the Rothmans decals on still) and a 3.0 SC African Safari 911 with the Martini livery, #5, one of the 2 factory cars to race in the 1978 East African Safari Rally (also Spark). My first cars with liveries!

I'll have to get some better pictures soon.

I'm considering picking up the Norev GT by Citroen. Pretty impressed with the one at the Boston Auto Show I went to, though they wanted $149 for it, when I'd see them on eBay for around $80. :crazy: Any experience with this model?

Edit: Apparently my brother overheard me contemplating buying that Kyosho Lexus GS-F. So he decided to buy me one as an early birthday gift.

I've went and committed. Went out to IKEA, spent only $40, put up enough shelving to comfortably house 12 cars.

For those interested, one of the 58.7x19cm boards were $3. Each brace is $1. Dirt cheap! Not terribly looking either. The shape makes me think of an underpass or ribbed supports in a tunnel:

Resin or bust at the moment. Pick one between Top Speed and GT Spirit.

If you must have opening parts, you can wait 3 more years for the TSM release.
 
Love the 5 spokes on the silver and white. Wish the Midnight Purple came with those instead.

Torn between getting the AutoArt LC500 in red or waiting for the white. I'm leaning towards white as I feel it works better for the LC500's lines.

Almost Real is also making the Lexus LC(and LS) in full opening diecast. Check them out before you hit the buy button.

Considering that Almost Real has shelled out finely-detailed diecasts for for much less than a sealed Autoart model (whatever material they now use), I second MSZ's notion to take a good look at everything AR has on the table. There's working door hinges on that Lexus for crying out loud.

Although I don't own one yet, I think I'd recommend any AR model over anything these days.

CK is the only place I buy models outside of Ebay, and I've never had a single issue and that is with them shipping overseas and passing through customs to the U.S. Models are well packed in large boxes with packing peanuts, so I've never had a damaged car. They're also very quick to ship, so I can't complain. In fact, I have a model arriving today from CK!

They're the standard. Probably a direct competition to modelissimo.de, except modelissimo.de processes orders in an old-fashioned way which can be slightly tedious.

Flat rate 29EUR shipping, will more than likely be hit with customs/duty taxes.

Biggest perk is when you do that "10% discount on all orders" thing. I think that's something you have to grab off of diecastsociety.com.
 
One of the Vancouver GT Spirit dealer told me about his struggle against CK, said a small online store like his is in tough to challenge "the Walmart of model store" aka CK.
