My new CMC Ferrari 250 GTO Chassis Number 3869GT. It has great detail with plenty of functioning parts however I didn't open the front hood because I am doubtful I can put the leather straps back on the way they came. Anyways, would highly recommend CMC for 1/18 scale model cars. At the bottom is my older 250GT California (Not from CMC).

Grabbed a few 1/43 M-Sport Mk8 Fiesta WRCs. The two Sparks are test cars from 2017 (blue camo) and 2018 (Redbull). The IXO is a 2021 car, the very last of the Fiesta WRCs before the M-Sport Puma Rally1 took its place.

As always pretty impressed by the collection you guys have 😍 I was lucky enough to be invited to the Indy GP in May by friends, so I’ve picked up a little souvenir at the track after seeing the real thing at the airport.
1/64 does appeal to me quite a bit. Though I’m NOT starting a collection! Anyway that’s what I tell myself 😉

If nothing else it's worth doing if you decide to insure them - without photos it's hard to explain to an insurance company which melted blob of charred metal was what, should the worst happen.

I have a whole excel listing of all my 900 1/43 with date of purchase, model shop; price etc; mostly for me but also for insurance purpose, and I chose my insurance « bracket » value accordingly.

I wish I had the forethought to do this when I started collecting, but at the time I wasn't really expecting to get very many models and most of that information is lost. I do have insurance but I will need to read the fine print for coverage and see what I need to do to add a collection.

My latest adds: 1/43 2015 Ford Fiesta RS WRC from Spark (white one) and 1/43 2016 Fiesta RS WRC from IXO (blue one). These were both super hard to find and I got lucky to get them both for reasonable prices.
1/18 Porsche 911 (993) Targa from GT Spirit. Really love the color on this one, it's very 90s with the teal paint and white interior.

I work for an insurance company and have underwritten quite a few diecast collections as part of Home & Contents policies. As a fellow collector, here’s some tips:
If you don’t know if your insurance company covers your collection, call them. Specifically ask for a straight answer and don’t put the phone down until you get one. If they won’t give you a straight answer, ask for the call to be escalated as a complaint. That’ll put you in touch with a more experienced and authorised underwriter.
All calls are recorded, but you can also ask the specialist to note that the conversation was had and that the collection is fully covered to X value.
Make sure you add the date of that conversation and a copy of your insurance policy to your archive. It will be extremely valuable if you ever get in a disagreement over a claim and you can tell someone, “go listen to the call I had on X date.”
Insurance is “in case 🤬 happens.” If you don’t know what will happen after 🤬 does, why are you paying for it?
- many basic policies have very restrictive limits on collections. It may not buy 1 rare 1:18, let alone 100+.
- check your PDS for fixed & variable limits on valuables.
- digitally archive the whole collection. (Photos, apx purchase date, current replacement value)
- don’t skimp on sum insured (ever). It does not affect premiums even close to 1:1 and you never want to end up underinsured. Nightmare.

Crappy quality images, but I picked up this 1:43 scale Minichamps model of "Grello" at the Nürburgring 24h, and even managed to get it signed by Kevin Estre in the paddock.
I only just read the plate inside the box, and apparently it is number #300 of 300...
The only problem with it was that it was the last one they had in the shop and it was on display, so it is covered in a fine layer of black dust, which wasn't great - but clearly it genuinely was the only one they had. It is the 2019 model so was nowhere near as pricey as the newer ones, but for €60, it was pretty reasonably priced.

Good score and the signature makes it a nice collector piece. Should be able to clean the dust up carefully, as well.
Always fun to get unique numbered model, I happen to get a 300/300 model once and recently a 001/200 by chance.

@Kedmasterz That’s a very good catch you’ve made. As much as I appreciate „collectors grade“ brands, and I’ve got a few myself, in my opinion nothing beats finding a really nice and well done model by another company. Also 911 😋

I couldn't pass up on this car, despite the price tag. This diecast model has opening doors and an opening bonnet, but the most obvious feature compared to older models are the cambered wheels. Don't recall seeing that before. Another curiosity is how easily the wheels can be taken off and re-attached. When I pushed to front end down a bit too much, the front right tyre parted company and I thought I broke the model, but I noticed a hole in the centre of the wheel - just like the real car. I got a good look at the brake and suspension assembly before slotting the wheel back onto the hub. This has clearly been done on purpose.
