Every once in a while, some good older stuff seems to pop back up on CK Modelcars.

Yesterday the 2011 Le Mans winner popped up, instantly got one:

Seems these older Spark models come with a display case now. Not sure if it's a refresh through Spark themselves, or if it's a CK Modelcars deal.
All the re-releases are coming in the new packaging it seems. I need to grab a few of them myself lol

Well that's my model car budget blown at the Nürburgring already... but when Maro Engel is sitting right there, I couldn't resist.

Oh I have this one.

1/18 Porsche 911 (992) Sport Classic in Gentian Blue Metallic from Minichamps - Figured the best way to show how gorgeous the paint looks is to bring it into the sunlight. This is a fully opening model. Not perfect and it was also a bit expensive compared to similar models, but it sure does look good.

OK... now that's the model car budget blown properly now... however, I achieved what I really wanted to achieve - I wanted a model from both the Nürb and Spa, and the obvious one for Spa was last year's winning car, the #007 Comtoyou Aston Martin.

I used all my recent experience to get my way onto the pit lane quickly before the hoards arrived with hundreds of models for the team to sign, and it was just as well, as the pit walk/signing session was cut from 1 hr to only 20 mins max; but luckily my hours of preparation paid off and I got the car signed by all three drivers. Now I am not allowed to buy any more cars until next year...
