Also, I see a HUGE problem with the rules. Not getting whammed until 31st? That is stupid. It should be the 23rd, by 23.59min, so that we can ENJOY Christmas and the few days after that without always being on guard.

I've just returned from a three day school excursion where I thought that I'd surely be Whammed! on the bus by a radio station - however, thankfully (at least for me) the bus driver didn't turn the radio on at all during the trip.

From here on in I should be safe, if I go to the local shopping centre between now and 2012, I'll probably only be going to GAME, which is the closest shop to the entry and the only Christmas CD's my family has are cheap $2 ones consisting of covers.
 
I went to Target yesterday, thankfully I was in the toy section so all I heard was kids talking loudly the whole time so I never heard the radio. Never thought I would be happy for kids being loud in a store.:lol:
 
went to Barnes & noble, I was sick and expecting it to be a quick get book and leave, but my mom decided to look around and talk to people for 45 minutes

the good part is that they weren't playing Christmas music:sly:
 
The drama continues...

I was Whammed for the second time in 72 hours, this time around 9:30 AM CST at the Animal Clinic this morning. I'm afraid there's no end in sight.
 
lol... maybe there should be two contests...

For those who did get Wham'd they keep count of the times they end up getting Wham'd (and not voluntarily playing it on loop ;))

Naa, not for The Warehouse. However I did see one for the Warehouse. No Wham (Phew) and it was playing Jingle Bells... JINGLE BELLS!!!!

Lol no. It's just because it is non-sensical to continue AFTER christmas as this song is about christmas itself right? Or the mood of it and all...so yeah.

Therefore I will have no motivation to play our little game from the 24th and upwards.
 
Dicing with death at the moment as my wife listens to the Chris Evans' Show in the morning, and yes, he's starting to play Xmas 'classics'...

If you don't like the rules of a game, go and play something else rather than calling it stupid and demand it's changed to suit you.
 
I learned my lesson I guess. Ignore the most annyoing and narcissistic person on GTP. Famine. And I KNOW I'm not the only one thinking that way, FOR A REASON, you should think about that.

Also, I never tried to downplay this thread or the OP, I like this game and enjoy it, and yes, my original "critical" post was a little off or "rough", kille me for it. :rolleyes:

Oh, also, learn how to speak like a grown up to grown ups or leave. This isn't a suggestion. The next insult to leave your fingers will be your last and you've had plenty of warning about this in the past.

That's the way I simply see it, it's my opinion. In my opinion 4 weeks would be ideal, 22nd November to 23rd of December.

Well, that's at least how I see it, if not even one person besides me agrees, I'm fine with it.

Also, it sounds better and more logical when you say. "Who can survive until Christmas without hearing THE Christmas song?, than "Who can survive until the end of the year without hearing THE Christmas song?".

And also, on the 31st there is New Year, therefore the song doesn't really fit and therefore it is not logical to play this game until the 31st.

Again, I'm fine with nobody agreeing with me, I can live with that very well.

Don't worry mate. Although it is a Christmas song, there are a lot of TV shows that will have Christmas specials that will probably air between the 20th of December to 30th of December. So they'll still represent a danger. You never know when Wham might pop up.
 
You can guarantee Channel 5 or Dave will be showing the Top 50 Worst Christmas Videos on Boxing Day. :rolleyes:
 
Got worried I might be double Whammed! when my maths teacher promised to play a christmas 'classic' at the end of the lesson. Luckily it turned out to be a song about some donkey.
 
Had a close call at work, thankfully it was a girl singing. However if the contest was Jingle Bell Rock I would have been absolutely destroyed, I swear they played about 80 versions of it.:yuck:
