Yeah, I have dial up. We’re not all able to get access to or afford broadband. Being 15 I guess mommy pays for your internet, so I don’t think you can go laughing at people who aren’t able to get broadband at home.

Hey, I can deal with load times as they are. But I’m just saying that bigger avatar sizes do have drawbacks.

Download speed is just one. Not to mention the fact that they’re usually tacky and ugly as heck (take Matthew Keller’s as an example).

Yes she does, and when it comes time for me to live on my own, I'll pay for my own internet. If i can only afford dial up, then im sure ill get my share of wtf's like i do now with my crappy windows millenium with 30gb of hard drive space.
 
NO WAY you're running millenium! My dad figured out a way to keep it running snappy recently... reinstall it, start fresh and get rid of all installs, cancel all updates and turn of active virus scans, and it is smooth for life... but be sure to check youre computer ~ 1ce every 2 weeks :D

bigger avatars for ANYONE would rock, plus we dont have too many active members to slow it down a ton.
 
Hmm... maybe the ability to change your vote when you change your mind.

Also maybe the ability to make your username any color you want.

Having the ability to keep yourself from getting PM's just like on Nitto, could be a good idea, and could be a terrible one...

These are just a few ideas that popped into my head...

I see no reason why that would be a benefit. People would just drift to the majority to fit in.

I don't think that would be such a great idea. How would mods or others with advice get a hold of you? They are a pretty essential part of the system.

I think that being able to change the color of your name would be good, but it couldn't be the same shade of red that we premo members recieve. :sly:
 
I think Jordan would have to put everyone who wanted a certain color in a group. That would be to much of a pain.
 
Nah, the colour thing isn’t that hard to implement.

I don’t like the idea, though. To me it seems kind of lame, and would ruin the great design Jordan made.

I agree, I think it would really make the forums look kind of lame.

And it may also entice non-members not to join. For example - "Why join when i can change my name to any color i want"

Hmm... How about being able to choose what GTP theme you want? Then again that could take some work with what theme is chosen here. Like if you want black, silver, blue and gray, instead of white, beige, red, and blue. Also putting a wallpaper in your profile would be good for GTPremium users... :D

Sorry then, you didn't have to embarrass me more than I'm already am. (Especially in front of everyone covering alot of my threads...) I don't really mind if custom themes got implemented or not, as GTP looks pretty good the way it is.

It wouldn't (shouldn't?) be too difficult to implement, though (would it?). Give each (amin) element on the page an individual code (for colour), and then link it into MyGTP where you can select either preset colours or input a RGB/Hex colour code for each element.
