What's good, guys? It's Tak! lol This was my backup account from a year ago.

Hmm about the GT1, I don't think it matters if it should be or not to be allowed, I mean it's a fast street tuned car that can be used for track-use. But, I think it should be Mat's choice because he's the one doing the shootout right?

I know the ideas and improving the shootout is what you guys and I are doing but pressuring about something like this is his choice, but just pressuring it more isn't good. It's his choice if he wants to run it or not. So, I think I would let it be.

Hmm…on a somewhat cheerier note, I've got my R-Tune done…my T300 car count is up to two, and my FC is still…untouched. Also, question for you touge regulars, is 2:59.8xx a good time for a sub 500PP, 300hp S2000 on sport hard tyres around Akina?

A rough tuned 500PP tune will lap Akina around the 2:59 time, So i would say thats not bad 👍

Ah, I see. Well, that's not bad for just 470PP I guess…now to run my Impreza on it…

And all I've got to say now is…well, giant killer much? Or is it just that 500PP isn't what works the best for this track? Impreza clocked a 2:58.xxx, with 480PP and no change in parts (so no stage 2 weight, basically). I'll save the S2000 for T300 3.0 then.

Faster 500PP would be around the 2:57.xxx range. Most of mine will dot hat or less, and about 3:02.xxx 450. Not bad for an S2k, though.

Hmm…well, I guess my Impreza's new 2:58.214 is close enough then…though I've heard that Akina was one of those tracks which favoured 4WD.

Thinking of bringing an even lighter "Wicked Child" back for season 2.:D
Have yet to download the track and do any testing though...
Maybe I should go even smaller for the 200HP class and turn the "Pocket Monster" loose again!

Akina really favors no drivetrain, my fastest 500PP car is an RX-7 for example, and most of my AWD's manage 2:57. Akina is a track requiring balance and good lines/knowledge of the course to be fast.

Here's my two cents:

NO TUNER CARS SHOULD BE ALLOWED!!

Why? Not because they're not proper touge cars but because all the work has been done already.

These cars have upgrades you simply don't get in GT5. Such as upgraded control arms and steering stops which is why they have near-race car cornering abilities. They were obviously alloeed on Hot Version because those are the cars the tuners chose to tune and enter.

Us, as tuners, shouldn't use them because that would be like MCR buying and tweaking an Amuse S2000 to enter it, it's downright dishonorable, in my opinion. You express no tuning knowledge and get ZERO respect from me if you think yourself a good tuner by entering one of those cars and getting a high score.

That being said, man the 🤬 up and tune a car from scratch to show off your skill and talent as a tuner. If you're no good, then try anyway and use what you learned to get better and have a better chance next time.

:ouch: My exams have passed, yet I still feel like I should go punch a wall...

*sigh* Each of you guys have really good points, but I just need to get my head together and try to decide. Anyways, when I was gone, I was quite bored and...

Yeah, it's a papercraft.

Go relax and GT5 till you drop, I've got mine starting from next monday. :scared: Got any notes to share?

And did you make that? It's actually really good…some of the proportions are a bit off and it does need some straightening out, but it's quite nice.

Thanks... Oh, yeah, I made it... Sorta.

It started out like this:

DB_-_Toyota_Corolla_levin_85__Toyota_Corolla_Trueno_83.png

Then I edited it into a papercraft shape, then I customized it after.

I haven't gotten around to tweaking my FD this week. I've been driving it around Akina and other tracks and it feels amazing!

I'm on the fence on whether to put a GT Wing on it. My other FD, the one with Stage 3 weight reduction, was handing great with the same tune albeit the wing affixed to it but when I put the wing on the heavier car it suffers from annoying understeer mid-corner.

The stock wing allows up to 8 degrees of rear downforce, which is ample amounts for this car. I'm guessing it understeers with the GT Wing at 10 degrees or more of downforce because the car's extra weight gives it better rear traction and the extra downforce unloads the front just enough for understeer to become an issue.

I'm gonna do some testing at Eiger with and without the wing to see how the car handles those pesky hairpins.

Do want that papercraft! Care to share the template?
Curious to see results. Anyone tested my GT-R?

Of course! Here you go!

NOTE: Printing it 100% actual size would be too small. I recommend printing it to fit the whole page. Also, you may encounter some problems with connecting the rear spoiler.

Your GT-R will be tested by me tomorrow. Not sure if Tak has tested it yet.

Hmm…I'm sort of split between entering my R34…It's alright as it is, but it's really a "jack of all trades but master of none"…no, swap out "master" for something like "good"…add the fact that it's an R-Tune by Nismo, I can already tell that if it even comes close to the podium, SSnake's corner of the room will be lit red with complaints.

It does lap the track at 1:04 at best, and does 1:05s consistently though…

I got a tune in my garage that is for this shootout if my s2000 not eligible

Hmm, now that I'm all calm now, I'd like to say this...

Have you even had the effort to check out the entrants for Touge MAX? It's right in the OP.

It seemed like you just entered the S2000 without even registering or informing me.

Even though you could have registered while entering the car, it was clearly stated that registrations were closed. Instead, what you did was just post a tune out of nowhere. Those people who were posting their tunes already had reserved spaces. While you, you weren't on the list. If I'm being harsh, my apologies.

when you making registration for season 2 touge 300?
I would like enter again

pm when you start taking entry's for touge 300 please, thanks

No, just leave a reservation now and we'll remind Mat every time he moves an inch within the boundaries of this thread.

And Tak, is the FC so good that you're still speechless (I kid, the flaws on it are so big I could drive a tank through it)?! Still, where's the little bits and pieces you were going to add to it? :p

Hmmm. I was testing the old setup and it seems kind of slow in terms of acceleration. Tried OS Giken FC cross ratios but got familiar times as original setup.

Yea, that's the FC's major Achilles' Heel, it cannot accelerate quickly enough with just 200hp. The gearbox setting it was left at was all I could do to get the car to go even remotely quickly.

I just tested out the S2000 '01 against the S2000 '06 and it seems it's more powerful, even if the 2.2L has more torque. I feel like the Kouki 2.2L S2000 doesn't seem powerful as it is.

Note that I made an error with the GT-R's toe settings; I have updated the tune. You may wish to retry the tune, but that is completely up to you. I do not know how the error affected the car.

So yeah, I have a couple of questions.

1. Is it too late/early to sign up for season 2 of Touge 200 and 300? If not, sign me up for both.

2. What's the verdict on using free DLC cars like the Scion FR-S? It can't be shared but every tester can obtain it for free anyway. They just need to spend 2 hours breaking it in.
