So, what times are the quick guys (and gal) doing here? Few weeks ago I had a race with buck and the scion seemed strong, but now i'm half a second of some people. Need a good set up though, gonna work on one

The reason we set up FRWC is as some people wanted an endurance event using them

I'm not really in this. Just following along.

 

I can do low 56's at full power. But im only doing mid 57's on -35bhp

 

that's quite a drop, but it's still quicker than me

Having to sort my bike engine out so can't get on at all, taking a quick cuppa break and catching up on the site

 

Bike engine, Is that in a bike or in a car?

 

I will be happy with low 57s for about 7-8 laps.

Struggling to get off the line well here. Tried a few starts but it's just not as good as nurb any tips or tricks out there for . Or is it red bull ring

We've got the starter motor patched up for the F27 now, so hopefully we can start warming her up

57.9 I hit but I know I can do mid with no problems, hopefully low with setup tweaks, but I swear the car is slower on the straight after I've took the wing off, go figure Buck killed down the back straight, and I pulled a good gap out of he corner

No idea mate, The meg should be the best FF car at their starts. Only thing I can say is leave it in 1st gear as long as possible of the start, then flick up through the gears a bit quicker


Out of curiosity, is anyone using a turbo here?

 

Yep I have a turbo, having to throttle way back to make the hp target. Am doing low 57s with the hp penalty, but I'd imagine the focus will be the quickest here with all those hills (mid 55s?).

 

I'm debating turbo. Again when ninja mentioned the turbo lag to me, it makes sense, yet PD doesn't always work that way. I took the wing of and my straight line speed reduced

Should be Ford (and citroen cough @NinjaEvo cough) who take good points here.

 

Do u still have the fiat engine in? U got any track time in it yet?

Yeah, it's weird. Certain cars on certain track lose performance, but the Citroen seems to be fine with the turbos.

 

That's the problem, basically the car had no registration, and the chassis number had been taken off. It was really worrying and we hoped it wasn't stolen. (The guy seemed honest about it, no documents were with it). So we contacted DVLA and they have no record etc so they have sent us a number to put on it. We didn't want to get it out and start work as if it was stolen it would be taken from us right away. But yeah fiat engine still in there and as it's winter there's no where we can go, not even the roads. Steering column is a right mess too, as a few other bits are, so hopefully we can get her ready over winter. Just bought some original plans the company (when steve porter owned it) published, so we can see what alternative parts we can use. It was a rear escort axle as we thought, gonna replace the steering column with the old SD1, we have plenty kicking about

I've always slapped the high turbo on and left it at that. I try to apply real mechanic knowledge to the car but PD seem to do the opposite. Unless my ability is actually completely terrible
C4's are on the straight, but suffer a fair bit of understeer on the exit of corners
It's only a game, why hide what we're doing.

Nooooo...

Don't worry m8, I think only 6 or 7 bothered to Pre-Q for Rockets, so first refusal then goes from the top of the list down I believe.

Only 2 have Q for both Prius and Samba, which are both still open.

 

Not sure what that's meant to be

We won't get a full grid for the support (mind you we had 15 last week) but it's first come first serve except the higher placed drivers will be given priority if need be

Won't do support series, as I have a 4-hour math exam in two days.

 

Prius Pre-Q run replay in a Zip file so I can upload it here, so if anyone has any questions about the legality of my time they can see for themselves...

Everything should run on time tomorrow. Support races should be a grab car and jump in, no idea why people keep going into settings. Please be prepared beforehand. Everyone's 30 seconds of preparation and stop a 30 minute delay

Nah, you have to download it, extract the files with 7-Zip (it's free), put the folder that comes onto a flash stick, copy it to your PS3 and then watch it through GT6. It's quicker than making a video, means I can't edit it and it also means that everyone can do it. Just so if there comes a point where we want to check runs for legality we can enforce this as a rule whereby all drivers must upload heir Pre-Q runs...

I'm not saying we have to, but if we decide to, I can provide a detailed tut on both Uploading and Retrieving...

 

Pre-Q's I really don't think we need. Although it will be very useful for the stewards

Speaking of stewards, your very quiet in that ford @buck1 what times you setting? You too storm

 

We don't need it YET... If we end up with more than 16 people in Pre-Q then maybe then...

I never thought about it for stewarding purposes, but it is a great idea...

Also just so people know, I wasn't sure if Smoked0ut would be someone we know to be around much, but last week he told me his uncle had died so he hasn't been about. Said he will be on tomorrow but I doubt it
