Hmm, no takers. OK, clue time: Was released on the Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64 and MS-DOS platforms... in the late 80's.

I recognised it because I've been deliberating over whether or not to buy it... It looks good but I've heard it's seriously difficult and I'd probably never play it.

I can't get to a computer for another hour but I'll be posting something soon! Out of curiosity, are mobile games alright? How about games that haven't been released yet but have demos, alphas or betas out?

A clue: the name makes pretty much no sense and it's a game for a popular hand held device. And no, it's not Apache Attack.
 
There's a sequel to it out too. The first one is pictured. It's not a game for lightweights.

You've got one word right, and I'm not sure if there's an iPad-native version but you've also got the right OS!
