What he said ^ The jump from medium to expert is CRAZY. I can finish pretty much every song on expert, but i usually end up with 2 or 3 stars and a % below 80.

Edit: I just did Six a few times in practice mode on Expert and got a 78% :D
 
I finally got through medium, I can't even begin to do hard. I guess I should just work on getting 5 stars on the medium songs for right now.

I hope some DLC comes out soon.
 
Yeah I'm working my way through 5 stars on medium now...bloody hell that YYZ Rush though. I just can't get the tempo right. I also seem to have trouble with parts of songs where you basically repeat the same note for a bit as quick as possible, it seems to always miss a note in the middle that I strum but doesn't pick up :\
 
I hate YYZ, it isn't even a very good song. But to get the tempo down I did a couple practice sessions with it slowed down, seemed to help out quite a bit. I wasn't even aware there was a practice area until I looked at the achievement and went hunting for it.

And I mess up in the middle like that to, it's because you don't stay at a constant tempo and your hand wants to go faster then what your eye is seeing.

Anyways, I give you this...

At least the guitar part is easier than the bass line....

Yeah, the bass line is really hard on expert, even harder than playing in a real bass I guess...
 
Are the 360 guitars really not wireless? I heard that there were some issues in the test units.
 
ive got it out at the moment, and it's ALOT better then i expected, apart from the neusiocnes(sp) after an hour or two.
 
Well I finally got five stars on YYZ and Psychobilly Freakout (only on medium though). Now to tackle those last songs...Damn this is going to be hard. :|
 
my favourite songs are six trogdor(lol eggs) and laid to rest.

guitar hero III is supposed to be out in fall...
 
Dang I was so close last night to getting 5 stars in Hangar 18 on medium. I even had 96% but they still only gave me 4 stars. I was doing so well I thought for sure I was going to get 5 stars. Heather was watching me play it and said "How the hell are you going that fast and getting all those notes??!!" lol
Shes also working on beating everything on medium with 5 stars.
I also like Laid to Rest and most of the other heavy fast songs.
 
Yeah took me a while to figure that out...so use that star power wisely and you can get 5 stars even with around 92-94% ish (at first I thought you needed 95% + on notes and that would get you it).

I need to practice The Living End's song and also that song right after it. Then I'll have all five stars for medium!
 
Do you usually let your star power fill all the way up or use it as soon as its half full?? The points also depend on your not streak because that keeps the x4 multiplier on the screen. If you mess up it disappears. If you use the star power while at x4 you go to x8 and that racks points up real quick.
 
I try and make sure that it's just before a section with a lot of notes and that I have at least a 3x or 4x multiplier - so I'm able to rack up a lot of points in the section there is. So for instance don't use your star power at the start of Freebird with all the long notes, you'll get a lot more points if you can nail a part of the solo with an 8x multiplier.
 
No kidding, like they said at that rate GHI would cost 90 bucks. I think a dollar per song would have been good and people wouldn't have complained. They say it's due to licensing but don't they already hold the license to the songs?
 
OK, so I bought GH2 ($10 off at Costco), and my Strum Bar is borked. I can strum down, but not up. Same with the D-Pad – you can go down on menus but not up. What's going on?!
 
I'd call Red Octane and have it fixed under warranty.
 
don't nkow depends on wether the maker of the petition decides to sent it to red octane?

it's up to 3330 so its getting roughly 280 signatures every 1-2hrs!
that's alot of money they are missing out on, times that by US$3(3 songs) and thats US$10,000 already and it's growing by roughly $800 every 1-2hrs.
