I hope you guy's come to realize this whole "micro transactions" thing with MS will only get worse. They got you with a $50 a year subscription, and soon you'll think it's the "norm" to pay for this kind of stuff.

And to think, people flipped out when Polyphony said they'd charge somewhere around $0.50 for a car in GT: HD, rofl.
 
Finally five starred all the songs on medium, and I've started Hard. I'm going to have to hit practice a lot to practice those solos in the second set list. :(

You are so lucky. I am also trying to get 5 stars on ever song in medium but Hangar 18 is driving me insane. I got 160,000 points and 96% and just cant seem to get 5 stars. Now I am getting worse at this song. I only got 140,000 last night. :guilty:
 
Agreed on the medium difficulty level. I can't get 5 stars either, I have mostly 4 stars on all the songs.
 
When you guys get used to the Expert level you'll laugh at how easy the medium level is.
 
...Anyway, I can say this is game is worth the $80. :dopey:

Even if you try a few songs on hard, because of the faster fret board it makes medium songs seem very slow paced...But yeah, I just cannot beat Woman on Hard. I'm having serious trouble with timing on the bridge (the part with all the pull offs) and I miss so many notes I just fail.

Camaroboy, just try hitting practice on the parts you struggle with. It really helps if you practice for around half an hour till you can get above 90% on the part you usually miss notes on, do something else for a while after that, and then come back to the song and you'll fly through it. Always worked for me when I had trouble with the harder medium songs.
 
Theres almost 10,000 signatures there, and the Majors blog is overloading! Maybe it will change.
 
HOPEFULLY, it will change....I mean come on Over here i can buy An Actual CD for that amount...and they have more than 3 songs, and come in a nice package with artwork etc:crazy:
 
Yeehaa. Five starred all songs on Easy & Medium, Got 5 stars on the first 5 songs on Hard too. I've made it past the second 5 songs on hard with mixed results. Once you get to Woman by Wolfmother the game turns evil...I barely passed, blinking red during all the solos. :eek: I'm gonna try and go back and 5 star the songs in the second setlist because the 3rd setlist will probably be really tough without some more practice at doing pull-offs & hammer ons.
 
anyone here having crashing or "red rings of death" in GH2 after the patch? I've read that online (kotaku) that there's been a lot of reports of crashing since the patch. I've been scared to play the game...
 
We unlocked the 1000 note streak in co-op over the weekend on my girlfriends 360. Also the 100% co-op achievements at the same time. :D
Now we just need to do it on mine.
No we arent having any problems at all with our GH2 games. If your seeing 3 red lights you might be getting a new 360 very soon.
 
What song did you get the huge note streak on? I'm thinking Freebird but it must have been on hard or something to have enough notes...:|

Heart Shaped Box. I personally dont like this song but its very very easy to play. Also keep in mind when you play as a co-op your note streaks are combined.
 
I think I got my 500 note streak on Life Wasted, which is also another easy song to play.
 
man the "Freakout" song on Hard is really killing me... i - just - can't - beat - it. and its very frustrating damnit. 3 hours of training... ARG
 
ye it has no rythm or beat for most of, to help as a guide, a good song i find for note streaks(on medium) is monkey wrench.
 
I can't wait to get this.

Apologies if this has been asked already, given that the guitar controller has a d-pad and coloured buttons, is it possible to use it with other games? I'd love to have a crack at TDU, wielding the axe as I drive along...
 
You should be able to since the buttons on the neck correspond with buttons from the controller.

Still absolutely loving this game!
We finally got the 1000 co-op note streak on my 360 last night. We already got it a few days ago on my girlfriends 360 but had to get it on mine too.
 
I've been playing it on the last couple of days. I'm working on getting five stars in every song on hard level. Got the three first tiers so far and a few more songs.
 
Well I'm finally up to tier 5 or 6 on hard now (Woman was probably the hardest song up until this point) - and to be honest I can't see myself five starring that song anytime soon.
 
Finished the hard tier today, going to begin doing the expert songs and also attempting to five star all of hard...this will probably take me a long time.
 
I'm stuck at Psychobilly Freakout on Expert, can't pass 25% for the life of me. This will take a while I guess.
