They didn't charge you a "handling fee" for choosing SAL? They charged me another $10 for that... as if they didn't already take so much from auction fees already.

I think that was an option. I chose to ship FedEx or EMS, whichever was cheaper.

So you didn't choose SAL then? Was that the only item you made a shipment on, and were you not given an estimate beforehand?

Just one item, I didn't get an estimate. I think 3200Y is fair. I've paid more than that for shipping on car parts.

Received my new Liger Zero Red Hiou. Can't wait to start it tonight.

Comparison vs. normal König Wolf.

Then found some rare upgrade parts for the Rev Raptor. The big gold pieces are called the Pile Banker units. Kind o like a bid ram rod.

Found a cheap Liger Zero for parts on ebay. I thought it was the normal white color, but when it showed up I was really surprised to see that its actually gray, making it a Liger Zero Phoenix (a kit never offered in the US).

I figured it needed some customization, so I added the Jager armor system. Kitbashing is fun. I might change the caps from red to black though.

Finally, after 7-8 hours or so of cutting, sanding, and assembly, my CO3 Malicious R.I.P.3/M (Blue Magnolia) model kit is finally finished :D

Here is UCR-10/A Vengeance, my other model kit which I got way back in December:

Very nice! UCR-10/A looks super heavy!

It does look very blocky yes, but 5th-gen Armored Core kits are actually not that heavy. The huge weapon on its back (called Grind Blade) is what makes the kit heavy and unwieldy. Without it, the UCR-10/A weighs just as much as the Blue Magnolia kit. It can stand fine while carrying its guns no problem. But the Grind Blade is massive and just as heavy as the UCR-10/A, strap that onto the back of it and the kit's center of gravity is thrown way off  Just look at the damn thing, it's bigger than the AC wielding it. It's crazy, but I like it :D

I had to use the foot locks on the back of the feet on some occassions just to make the AC stand (on the pics above I didn't use the foot locks). I'll be including some more pictures soon that shows the foot locks, and the mechanism on the feet. The articulation of the legs parts on the UCR-10/A is so amazing, that the kit is very poseable.

EDIT -

I never really liked the design of the Tallgeese I. So I, er, altered mine.

Dude, no way. You're the guy from the gaijin-gunpla website???:eek::eek:

It's not really a model, so I hope you guys excuse me just this once....

I used to be a big fan of Gundam, but we are talking early 80's, and I never got into the new stuff. Over three decades later, when I heard about these new, more complex gunkeshi(Gundam erasers) being released, nostalgia kicked in & I had to look for them on eBay. I bought a set consisting of four mobile suits(:sly:), but it is missing the last set, which is made up of weapons. :grumpy: Anyway, first one I took out is Char's Zugok.

:embarrassed:

Gundams are like cocaine...

They are. Over at my office, the husband of one of my supervisors said that collecting them is addicting. He's absolutely right  I agree with him 120%. That's why I have only been collecting Armored Core kits; there aren't a lot of them going around. God help me if I ever get my hands on a Gundam, even an HG. I can feel the addiction inside, waiting to burst out. I have to suppress it XD I have to LOLOLOLOLOL

Now that's a cool Z'Gok. And cute as well. :D

Yeah, the name doesn't quite sound right(ディフォルメ "deformed"), but it's a pretty popular style in Japanese toys. It's even cartoonier than the original, but it works!

Speaking of cocaine...
IMAG0292.jpg

Oh you didn't just... damn... Nu Gundam is my most favorite out of all the Mobile Suits in the entire Gundam franchise. Definitely my #1. And that Hi-Nu? My 2nd most favorite. :D

I think they're called D-Style outside of Japan. I've seen Armored Core kits having D-Style versions, as well.

Good choice. Interestingly this version comes with the effect parts for the fin funnels while the new Ver Ka version of the Hi Nu Gundam does not.

Really.. that's interesting. Never thought they'd exclude/phase out parts for newer versions of their kits. I imagine it's something they've been doing for a while now. I wonder why.
