The ae86 was (and is stil now) a compact car, cheap, and fast, all what young people look for in a car.
In my country I've never seen (and I won't) an 86.
So I was comparing it to the most exciting car in late 80's in my country, the Renault 5 turbo.

The hood is white all the way through 3rd stage of Initial D if that is what you are getting at.

I was talking about the one from Best Motoring. That one's black. Let me see if I can get a picture of it :)

That's a Nissan Skyline on the left side. I guess the camera was on the side when the picture was taken. I have the video where the two Hachi-Roku's are racing this R34. I guess the picture is from that session :)

There is this video clip going around from a race between an R34 and two AE86 Truenos. One 86 had less than 200 bhp, and one more than 200bhp. Keiichi Tsuchiya was driving the slower one, some other racer in the faster one, and the show's host driving the R34. It was a 3 lap race I think. Keiichi passed them both near the end and won.

Yup, that's the one 👍 Keiichi Tsuchiya did an excellent job with that Hachi-Roku. Love it :D

I was disappointed at the R34 though

lol, and the synchronization of the video and audio didn't go together with the video clip that I saw  so when the car shifted, the audio was behind one second, but it caught up later at the end, which makes me wonder

One was a BOSS AE86 and the other one was a private vehicle. I can't read japanese, but it doesn't say anything in english rather than the parts that they used in the car. The BOSS AE86 had 200ps and the other AE86 had 165ps [Keiichi Tsuchiya was driving this one and won the race ].

The video proves something though: more power doesn't mean that you'll win the race. It's the skill in going through the corners which count in racing ;)

thios can u send the video . i mean in real player, divx format ...
i interested to see that race . ho pe u can send otherwise i feel :( :( :( :(

Yes, but it also proves that a better car in the hands of an amateur will produce much better results than otherwise.

Skill, no matter how great, the racing potential will eventually be limited by the machine. Because it is the machine that is being raced, not the driver. When the car has been pushed to its absolute limits, that is the car's full potential.

Try finding it over one of the P2P networks. The file's too big for me to send it to you: 79.8MB!
