Halo 3

I am taking a week off paid for Halo 3. Halo 2 has been out almost exaclty 3 years and we still play Halo 2. Thats the only game in my entire life that I can say has kept me entertained for 3 years straight. I can easily see Halo 3 adding another 3 years of gaming. There is still no other game that has the online matchmaking like Halo 2 and Halo 3.

Played Diablo 2 for 5 years :), Half life(Mods) for 4 years. Unreal Tournament 3 is looking to be one the greatest console FPS's with its unlimited mods and maps for free. If Epic and Microsoft come to some agreement as far as mods the value should be very high.

R-Type has kept me entertained for 20 years played it on nearly every platform and it never gets old. Halo 3 I'll wait for it to get around $30 since I'll only play it for single player.

The Halo 2 multiplayer is what kept us entertained. I dont even care or understand the campaign at all. That might change with Halo 3 since it has a 4 player co-op campaign online. But the multiplayer is mainly what I will be playing Halo 3 for. 👍
I was going to save that week for GTA4 but as everyone knows it wont be out until 2008.

The nifty thing about Halo 3 Cooperative mode in the Campaign is the fact that you'll actually be competing against your teammates with a points system that will give you extra stuff for the number of kills you get, how you kill enemies, etc. So playing Cooperative mode, at least in theory, actually adds an entirely new layer to the experience making you compete against your friends despite all having the same goal... Finish the level.

Getting back together with my friends from High School, by which I played Halo 2 near constantly with them, should be a blast on Halo 3, particularly with the Cooperative play mode. I'm not the best at the game, but I'm decent... Most of my friends are the same way. The best part of doing it with friends is the stories you have for afterwards, and now that you can save the replay footage, thats even better... Being able to watch it over, and over again.

I'm getting this game for a friend but since we are sharing the 360 I will be able to play it more than he will most likely. I think I'll have as much interest as Halo 1 and 2 but will see.

This is probably the one game that would prompt me to buy a 360 (wouldn't be abl to get one to next year, so I can see how price goes). My only problem is that I wouldn't have anyone to play on the uni network ...

Whao very nice screen shots! In that last pic I see he is in the bubble shield but whats in his right hand? Hard to believe those are in game screen shots directly from the multiplayer. I like the name of that map too. "Mosh pit" :)

Gravity Hammer.

Wow. I'm not sure how I'm going to balance school and this for a while...

Looks like Halo 2 in wide screen... I still think they need to have some items to interact with, so the single player might actually be fun other then bland :S

I am sure the 4 player co-op campaign over xboxlive will be more than enough to make the single player fun. :sly: Besides, most of us buy Halo for the matchmaking multiplayer. Its the only game on any system that has this, besides COD4 which isnt out yet.

Except you can get COD4 on your computer which will always be 10x better for shooters and online :P

So basically, Bungie decided to just make Co-Op a run around and shoot everything while not even remotely trying to keep people alive. Good thing this isn't a tactical-based shooter.

That Elephant vehicle looks pretty worthless.

With the kind of game Halo 3's multiplayer is based around (running around killing folks), it will be. I've only seen tactical-based games successfully use large vehicles, which even then, aren't that huge and are hard to get into to kill the pilot.

Whoa that thing is HUGE. lmao If that thing is in the multiplayer I am going to laugh so hard when I see it the first time. I wonder how many people can fit into it and how hard it is to destroy. Imagine if one of the teams took both elephants. lol

There's only one Elephant on Sandtrap, and it's indestructible.

Well, the deal with this is that it's a moving spawn point – in capture the flag for example, you can move it right next to the opposing team's spawn point and take their flag very quickly. The flipside to this is that they can do the same as well, so it's not smart to keep it on one spot the whole time. It holds a vehicle and has some turrets as well so it's not going to be a chunk of metal no one will want to use.

Besides, there's going to be only one of these things around in only one map, so I imagine this will work out pretty well.

Yup your right so now go to the PC forums and quit trolling on the console forums. :dopey:
I wasn't trying to sound like a Troll... But what I was trying to say was, it's easier move around, shoot, and interact with people and objects in the game, and that there are more people on the computer. And the 4 player co-op online is not single player, thats still considered online play, I'm saying you by your self, gets kind of boring. I'm sure the co-op would be loads of fun. And fyi I'm a pure gamer, I play all systems. I just prefer playing on my PC games since I don't have to pay for the internet connection. My dad does :P

The elephant thing looks like it would be a lot of fun in some of the team-based games. A mobile spawn-point, or at least some kind of "mobile fortress" should add an extra bit of strategy to some games... Particularly if its indestructible.

It should be fun. I can't wait!

Sounds like the Titan in Battlefield 2142

edit: a little too slow

Dare I say it actually looks really good? 👍
Dang thats a lot better than I expected. Actually quite nice looking. This might be the game that finally gets me interrested in the Halo campaign. Usually I just play for the matchmaking multiplayer but this really does look like its going to be a great campaign. Especially with 4 player co-op campaign online!
Thanks for he heads up Duck.

Plus, remember 4-player Co-Op means 4X the fun. :) Crank up the difficulty to Legendary? Yes please!
