My mum was like Happy new year this morning and I'm like oooooh goody new year is a very sarcastic way and then the same thing happened to my sister several minutes later she replied like me........what so special about new year?

First post on GTP in 2003 I don't think so! - NZ where I live is the first country to see the sun soo there!

And I bet I posted before you!

We were watching "The Transporter"(me, my mom, and sorta my bro...my dad was sleeping on the floor)on Pay per view...the only thing that changed here was the clock actually worked and at 12 it did it's little tone thingy, and the fireworks from Westport(right down Craig Rd here, about 1.3 mi or so) which we heard but couldn't see out the window. After the odd movie was over, we watched The Ozbournes(2 episodes) and then Jackass, then people started getting up to go to bed, so I put it on the Discovery Science channel, and fell asleep on my "Vacation bed"(a comforter on the couch :) makes me feel like I'm at a nice hotel lol), and just woke up about half an hr ago...and here I am...no different then 12 hrs ago...

Except now at school I have get use to writing 03 on my papers...but I'm off till Monday!

Well, it's almost 10:00 AM on 1-1-03 here in soCAL... anybody watching the Rose Parade? :)

I was watching the Speed Channel WRC marathon till my mom woke up and now I'm watching a tape of The Ozbournes...how, uhh, great...

Same here (minus the Glasgow part). I can't wait.

The best New Years I ever had was about three years ago. My wife, who wasn't my wife yet, and I, went up to Flagstaff, AZ and hung out at our campsite, a very large "cathedral" of aspen on the mountain slope. At exactly midnight it started to snow.

It actually was a nice party. Only a couple people got sloppy drunk and they mostly kept to their own little sloppy drunk world. There were a lot of little kids, all girls aged five and under. I'm glad I'm having a boy in March. They screeched and squealed all night long. One punched me in the nose because I wouldn't play "be the monster" anymore (where I hide on the side of the house and when they come I jump out and scare them... it was fun the first fifty times but...)

As usual, I dread socializing but end up having fun once I'm there.

Well, I'm two hours and about six G & T's in, so enjoy it when it comes. Personally, I'm glad 2002's over.
Yum. Polished off about 6 six-packs of Foster's in what turned out to be a half decent party.

Met up with the rellies about 7pm December 31, and toddled off home about 5am January 1. Got together again for more celebrations after a bit of a lie-in, had a few drinks and went home again.

All-in-all, not a bad couple of days, except I'm dog-tired now.

Can't wait for Australia Day, should promise to be an excellent party.
