I was hoping that GT5's DLC would be an opportunity for PD to add some interesting new cars. So far we haven't seen that.

PD does it all in house, so they can keep quality to a higher level. It means fewer cars, but heck, we have a thousand cars in this crazy game.

800 of which look like absolute garbage, 995 of which sound like absolute garbage as well.

the question was happy with the dlc? comparing physics, this is not the place :D and yes i'm happy with the dlc, 4$ is nothing compared to the work and time put by PD, i will support them because i like the game and i play it everyday, to each his own, u don't like it, don't buy it, it's simple really

Exactly plus video game houses like pd rely on support from its fans. If you dont like the DLC dont buy it they are doing ALOT more than eden games or atari have done with TDU2

I didn't even know there existed a Golf VI. And even worse, it was a 2010 model, so I'm a bit behind in car news.

That is how much I care about VW Golf.

For anyone who claims the physics in Forza 4 aren't worth a light, really don't know what they are talking about. For example, it's incredible how true to life cars' acceleration is going through the gears and how accurate 0-60 times are.

Yes forza's problems have mostly been on general feel and FFB related things compared to GT5 which to me feels better but have had some physics trouble(damage, oval bank car sliding in low speeds..) .
However as some of you remember, I have complained quite vocally also about Forza physics, which is partly of course related to the fact that it is hard for me to separate physics from FFB.

DLC could have been better but also worse. PD is just still learning. I think that we will not ever see wast amounts of new tracks to GT5 as DLC, because that is mostly been saved for GT6. If they use same engine, GT5 should not be to close to GT6 in content.

As fan I would be happy with if they would just add content to GT6 without major overhauls to the game. Old GT tracks, important missing cars(F355,M3 e30,Alfa 4C,F360, boss 302...) and improve possibilities to generate own A-spec events. Improved sounds would also be welcome.

Personally I won't be getting this DLC. It costs far too much for 4 additional cars. I'm disappointed that there are no new tracks available via DLC, I'm really hoping we get all the tracks from previous GTs sometime soon in GT5.

I'll be getting it, although I was expecting Rome to be included without the barriers as per the GT86 video. Scirocco will be a new drive though and I'm glad they are maintaining the game well.

The first bundle pack for me was a bargain. I really liked the cars that came (even if biased slightly towards race ready cars) but there was a variety in there between driving levels, performance and handling.

I kinda knew they would go with those particular cars. I think I'll wait a bit; $4 is too much for those vehicles.

I voted Yes !

$4 dollar, $1 each car... It's more value money than buying cigarettes and smoke them away in one day !

Exactly. That's the common sense logic I'm using. I think I have more than that in change laying around in my car.

Not really.
The fact that the VW's are right hand drives is severely off-putting to me. Sometimes PD is pure genius and sometimes they are completely bonkers.

I am excited about the next game enhancements though.

New VWs....thats nice in my book...lol

I want the GTI though, as I drive one...:D

You know what I'd do? Detune the Scirocco R down to 210 BHP, and hopefully that should 'drive' similarly, might need weight reduction and ballasting, idk, let me know what you think (I love the GTI too, but prefer the R).

I love the Golf R, but the question is, do you prefer quantity or quality? I think they could've added more new Golf and Scirocco models, since the formulas are so similar between models, but they might've skimpt on quality for the two models they included, so I'm happy.

It's good value, and I'm not complaining, but I would like more street cars in the future, the new M5 most of all, the Aventador, I think the least likely cars will be the classic cars not included currently, which seems to hit the 90s most of all.

For those of you moaning that it doesnt have this that and the other, save your game, delete the data, and update back to before 2.0 was launched, I'm sure after a couple of months of driving the same cars day in, day out, you will be hankering to drive something new. Apreciate what PD are doing here for gawds sake! They are a small team continually working to make one man's vision the best possible.

It's not about what Forza has, or what NFS can give, becuase they are not worth the strength to type about. Do you complain because your favourite clothing brand doesn't release a certain jacket in a certain colour? Do you buggery! Grow the hell up, and be grateful for what you're getting! Hell, I remember when GT had no DLC, no patch updates, no online play, and you know what, I was happy with it then, and I am more than happy with what I have in the form of GT5.

Kids today are nothing but greedy, soul-less attention seeking cry babies.

Also one more thing, about the pricing structure....

Have you ever seen those magazines that offer an introductory magazine for say 3.99 but then every other magazine in the series will be 6-7 quid? well this is hoe I see the DLC.

DLC Pack 1 was simply the introductory pack, DLC Pack 2 is the next installment at the more regular price!

I love the fact their still supporting GT5. In other unrelated news, Sony has announced DLC will not be available for North America until 12/27. (kidding) Could you imagine the rage if that happend again?

I think all this negativity towards the dlc is unjustified just think back
(those of us that are old gamers) and remember games were sold as is finished or not I dont think its too much to appreciate that they didnt just release as is without releasing extra content or patches. I for one salute PD for sticking by GT5 and its fans despite the tantrums that some fans didnt get what they want or want to charge us for it.

It's good to see that they are able to model new cars. Hopefully they ramp up the out put and lower the price a little in the future.

Yeah, thats true. Right hand drive is pretty stupid.

Most people in the world drive left.

Gosh, if it weren't bad enough that you all drive on the wrong side of the road...

It's not that I dislike right hand drives in GT5. As long as it fits with the country of make. For me it kind of feels natural to right hand drive a Nissan, but right hand driving a VW feels a bit ho-hum to me.

I wonder who makes these weird decisions at PD. Maybe they just throw a dice to decide whether a car will be left or righthand drive?

WOW! some people are really defensive, yay! you can hate on GT5, but god damn you if you bring some other game :O

You know what is funny, the fact that Kaz seems to be clueless about DLC, I mean, Track-pack is not locked only for people who Paid for it, If you didn't buy the Track DLC and one of your friends did, he can let you race in it for Free, there is a Seasonal Event with the Kart-track I paid money for and all people have access to it, any other Developer would have facepalmed to that, why people who didn't Pay for DLC can have some sort of access to that content for free?

it's a matter of time, sure by the next game, he'll know better and these kind of things will not happen again, but damn people will whine about it, people will don't like it and people will go against DLC that desperately wants now, it's going to be hilarious

My bet is the cars they used as modelling/data recording samples were local Japanese models which are RHD.

I personally would prefer the steering on the side of the cars native market but otherwise it doesn't bother me personally.

In. Your. Opinion. Jeepers, next thing you know, you'll be telling us which game we should buy. :p

I happen to like that "garbage." Tell me another game in which I can race all this "garbage." And please don't say the F-word. I have the latest F-word. I've played the latest F-word for about two weeks solid, and I have issues with it that I don't with any other racer. ;)

Now in defense of Forza 4, I will have to say that many things about it are amazing. Unfortunately I can't enjoy that tire model or car physics because something between their 3D perspective, driver views and lack of tire noise thanks to the ridiculously LOUD stock car racket which drowns them out... *breath* makes it hard to take turns the way I want. So all that marvelous physics is AWOL for me. And please don't say they have better car sounds. I emphatically disagree, but I know that for many people, louder exhaust noise = faster car.

Kids today are nothing but greedy, soul-less attention seeking cry babies.
Just wait till we have every kind of entertainment on demand when we want it. Kids will be screaming, "Why can't we have three new cars a day?!"

People really don't get what it means to have a developer like Turn 10 that doesn't do most of their own work. Of course they can crank out cars every month like sausages, when they have four or five other studios doing modeling work for them. There are something like 400-plus people working on Forza 4. However, try and put a livery on many of those cars, some car surface doesn't work right, and you finally give up on part of your design because it's just not happening. Oh, but they all roar like F-15 jet fighters.

If four bucks for four cars is the end of the world for some of you, you must live in a constant apocalypse. ;) Anyway, Merry Christmas.

I guess you are right, it would explain it.

I'm quite fond of right hand drive :dopey:

Japan, Australia and New Zealand have got it bang on 👍

maybe you should fire up the ol' PS2 with GT4 then, we're talking about a PS3 game on a next-gen console...unacceptable.
