Yeah, I liked the look of it when it was centered.

GrumpEone, even though you have edited your post, there are still some points in it that I would like to address.

Can you elaborate on something that you specifically find more difficult to use in the new style?

Most of my issues were worked out with a simple Cache-cleaning, like extremely slow, menu animation, slow rt-click options, slow opening into a new window. But when I analized all these issues, I came to the conclusion that the issue was with my browser.

But I did notice a 'word-wrap' issue in this thread on the first page, where I had to keep scrolling left and right to read the posts. But I haven't seen any problems since.

Have you tried using our new search feature, powered by Google? It's considerably better than the old search powered by our forum software (which is/was terrible, I agree).

To tell you the truth I haven't used the search much since early Dec., because it didn't really help much. When was the Google powered search implemented??

I haven't had the issue since I cleaned the cache. Uhh, can I tell you in private?? lol
IE 6, Windoze 2000 Prem.

By posts yes (575+), by length of time no, only 2 -3/4 Months.

btw- I'm using Lite now, to hopefully eleviate any speed issues.
and sorry for jumping the gun on some of my comments, but I was having issues, and jumped to conclusions, and went on a rant.

Wow. It's all new!

I personally think it will take a bit of getting used to the new colours and what-have-you, but that's OK. The more I look at it, the more I like it.

I'm super glad I'm able to remove that righthand bar that was 'hogging' my screen though.

I think the new style looks very sharp, modern, slick and clean. Well done. It bring GTP into the new Vista world quite nicely I think. Hopefully not too many bugs appear, and the transition stays smooth for you Jordan.

Now that I have used the site a bit more, the only thing that bugs me is this

I can't tell the difference that well between new and old threads (and I am totally serious here, those four threads look nearly identical when i glance though the rumble strip), I mean slightly darkening the background table (first row), or increasing the contrast of thread icons, the new image, and darkening the boldfaced thread titles, and still darkening the table background.
 
Oh Jordan, something I forgot to say before. Major kudos for making the transition to GTP9 so smooth. The style literally changed between leaving one thread and entering another. I was expecting a few days downtime when we got to GTP9; it’s awesome that you seemed to have streamlined the process. 👍
