I must be blind, but where are you fellows seeing the return of the New Post Link?

I saw it under the Quick Links tab an hour ago, and now it seems to have disappeared. My only guess is that Jordan is working as we speak.

My eyes!!!! Oh my god!!!! Its, its amazing how all things changed in less than 24 hours! Jordan, I'm not bashing the new look or anything. I really know how you and Sage took a lot of effort to design the new GTP look, but its all in monotone. (i mean its black and white) Certainly looks good, but makes reading the post a pain in the arse. Wish there was several color options available, maybe even introducing the old GTP 8 color scheme back again. I really missed GTP 8 now..... :( But if you are gonna stick with this style, i'm not complaining. I guess I just have to change my posting style to suit the new look. Maybe even do a Famine and change my text color to something like Indigo or blue.

Yes, another thing to complain is also that, why the premium convo thread has been locked? It was a big big benefit of becoming premium. But now, maybe I should make more threads to get my answers (even though it might be a small questions and the like) But again, i'm not complaining. Everything just happens so fast. I mean I didn't even enjoy GTP8 enough before GTP9 came up. I really really need to get used to this.....

Also, I agree with Spock about the new post thing.....

Read earlier back in the thread, we were suggesting the colour scheme too.

And Jordan, you really had me going there :lol:
 
Do you really think it's that hard to read the posts, Muz? Perhaps you have the brightness turned up on your monitor or something - there really isn't that big of a difference between the intensity of the old brown and the new gray, and I don't find the posts difficult to read.

I do, I have yet to change my monitors brightness at all, but I did notice a more defined contrast between new and old posts from GTP8 than there is now.
 
I liked the old brown. It was my home. It felt more inviting than the gunmetal grey we have now. Much warmer. I honestly have to say that when I booted up my browser, and saw GTP8, I felt at home. Now I feel as if I'm in a hotel room, so to speak.

I'm loving the new appearence of the site... goes well with my new monitor quite nicely :)

Will/can we show Gran TurismoTV videos in our forum posts, just like we can with YouTube videos?
 
Coincidently, of all nights last night I dreamed GTP was going to be upgraded... and look what's happened. :P:

I wasn't a fan of the 2-inch bar on the right at first, but once I read you suggest to change to Default (Full), I really like it. 👍 Definitely the biggest change I've seen in my time here.

It'll take a bit to get used to the smaller user information on the left, especially the usernames. I can only imagine how small it would have been on my old 1920x1200 laptop... And on the forum pages listing the threads, the thread creator names are a little hard to read:

But they're only small gripes - it's great overall.

I sort of agree, but I like this as well. No other forum I'm on as a skin like this, so it feels unique to me. :)

Well I'll try to get used to it. Its just that all the changes are made so fast. I couldn't even imagine what GTP9 would look like yesterday.... (although that freak accident about changing the layout a few months ago did give me an idea on how GTP9 was gonna look like... :lol:) But yeah, maybe I need to change my post style soon to make it easy enough to read (probably when my post count hits 2000th :D)

Also, I'd like to second the people who've mentioned that centered user column stuff would look even better.
 
OMG! This is amazing. :eek: I love it. :) I was getting sick of the old scheme, and i didn't like the yellow that's been there for as long as i've been here. :yuck:
 
Hmm, this is going to take some getting used to though after all these years with the yellow skin.
 
I must admit, I sorta miss the Yellow colors - but I assume I'll get used to this as well.. Very very slick and very Web 2.0 - Whatever the hell that actually means..

I miss the GTP logo the most though :-|
 
Love your work guys, although I have to agree with a few comments people have made about a lack of contrast with some of the colours. I think it may take some time for my eyes to adjust to grey on grey.
 
awesome job jordan, my only complain would be a more... *ahem* beautiful logo or logospace at the top left other than that :P

The buttons at the top (new, forum, ... ) should be more embedded into the background.
Now it looks like it's just stuck on top of it.

And for some reason i'm getting a headache reading posts with the current combination of gray shades.

Text size looks fine here... The more I browse, the more it's the same as always - only more gray...
 
I love the new look, nicely done Jordan. The site has evolved so much over the years, I like this blogging idea very much (gives the site the potential to become an even better GT news hub). :)

Could you center the username, usertitle and avatar?

It looks awesome as hell, but I'm sure going to miss the old GTP...The forums look beter then ever, only that I'd like to see the Search function and Skin chooser elsewhere...

Also, is it me or is the homepage full of ads? Like half the space is used by ads...I loved the look of the old homepage better, it gave a bigger impression, but the forums of GTP9 are definitly better then ever 👍
