Hardest car to drive

I find the BTR perfectly acceptable to drive, though that may be because I was used to the Yellowbird before hand. I'd say the Alpine A310 is a right hand full on stock rubber: the weight balance probably makes the RUF's look normal by comparison!

Is it weird that I like the way the A310 handles? I mean you mess up the entry/exit, more throttle :) Really fun car. Well rendered for a non-premium as well.

McLaren F1 on full tune, SS with no wing - great car when you get it right, completely and totally unforgiving when you get it wrong.

And I second the Ginetta G4 - have tried and tried to make that car even somewhat predictable with a full tune and have made almost no headway. Shame, because I love that car in real life.

Yeah the BTR is much more manageable, it's pretty much a Yellowbird-lite I think. With the possibility to add aero on it, I think it has good potential to make a really fast racer out of it (have yet to try it with aero though). Even in stock form it's pretty competitive in 500pp class (even with comfort softs!) but the Yellowbird is struggling in high speed corners once you go up in the PP. At 550pp it's good fun to drive, but in high speed corners it's really hard to step on it in comparison to other cars which take the same corners flat out.

My two favourite cars right there, in addition to the Stratos. I have 4 Yellowbirds, 2 BTRs and 5 Stratoses if you count the rally version.

Pagani Zonda R wit comfort tires on

haha ^

The Vertigo Racecar is crazy, notice how if you limit the power a bit the PP goes up! a testament to the lunacy.

The hardest to drive has to be the Tank Car. It has no handling as such, just vaguely goes somewhere near a piece of tarmac, then crashes, due to either death-dealing unexpected oversteer, or, worse than understeer, it just refuses to do anything other than going in a straight line.

Some of the tricky but very rewarding cars:
Ruf CTR Yellowbird, Pagani Zonda C12S 7.3, Ruf BTR, Shelby Cobra, Ferrari F40 and a few more (note: all cars I drive are on comfort tires).
But some of the really bad handling cars are:
Most muscle cars have huge understeer (stock) and in my opinion the wost handling car in stock form is Cizeta V16T. Many cars become useless when fully tuned but that's the tuner's problem, Enzo, Veyron and a few more cars aren't meant to be tuned so don't bash them just because you're dumb enough to tune them.

Talking of tough, here's my current record run with Zonda around the Ring, enjoy:

The YellowBird is actually alright after a while.

I do have to give a nod to the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo though. That thing is almost impossible.

And the Zeta V16T does have very mixed steering characteristics. If you get the tune though you can make it to a fun slider.

I think no-one has mentioned the worst handling car of them all yet. Oversteer can be tamed, understeer can be predicted and compensated for. But one car does neither.

The DLC Beetle . If you have driven it you have probably rolled it. It's comically bad, like the Reliant Robin on Top Gear. I know I am not the only one.

The 2CV! It's slow, its ugly and its even slower. You'll get places faster walking.
There corrected for accuracy.:crazy::lol:

Seriously though the DLC Beetle can be fixed with tuning.👍👍

Fully modded evoras and esprits are absolute disasters. I remember a time trial on Rome and I couldn't get it around the first corner no matter what I did. I had a murcielago sv even on 50/50 power distribution it was sliding all over the place on racing mediums.

PT Cruiser.

Just no. Heather Mills has one, that's reason enough, but this is the worst.

Other cars may drive as bad or worse, but nothing says "I don't care enough to try" like the Cruiser.

It's hard because I can't bring myself to do it. Ever.

Edit- sorry about the double post. On my phone and thought I hit 'edit'.

Gotta say the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car is atrocious. I haven't gotten a chance to try it in GT5 yet, but in GT4 it was so hard to handle. The BTR, and Yellowbird are both handfuls. Even the CTR with AWD is quite a monster.

Personally I find all the LMP and FGT etc cars really difficult since they don't drive like normal cars >.< but thats probably just me.

Lamborghini LP640 is IMPOSSIBLE to drive stock, that snap oversteer...

Another one. Ferrari F40. The turbo lag is horrible, it can easily spin you out.

Don't even bother. Save up some extra from the 1mil credits you need to buy it and get a Furai instead.

...
The hardest is probably the Yellowbird. With a good driver at the wheel any car can be tamed, but if your first lap driving it is in a shuffle race, I fear for your competitors into turn 1.

This. I got it in a Daytona shuffle race and had pole. Looked at the first corner, swapped ends, bounced off the wall and wiped out half the field:ouch::ouch::ouch:. Felt pretty bad about that, I just parked it on the infield and waited for the race to end so I could get a different car.

Ehh…wut? How is it hard to drive? I understand that by the time the turbos kick in, the car ahead could have pulled several miles ahead, to drive once it moves, it's brilliant! Oversteer on demand, just enough grip to keep you pointing in the right direction at a reasonable speed, it's huge fun! :D

I like the Cobra. For ultimate fun try adding all of the toys, including Supercharger!

I find it's damn fast and will corner so long as you treat the throttle with ultimate respect. Setting up the traction from the LSD and handling via full race suspension is best done with the engine turned well down and the Supercharger left in the garage.

You also get to see many parts of the circuit other drivers don't see while learning how to handle it on a new track!

Maxi turbo rally car is a nightmare to drive, its like it has no tyres!

Surely if your car is fully modified, you'd do something about it in the handling department; i.e stop the understeer/oversteer.

Try putting the Murcielago SV to 30/70
Adjust the LSD to something like 7/15/15.

Or just turn on TC if you're having troubles handling it? :P

It's actually not that bad; I don't know what they did to it in the Special Events but if you buy one from the NCD there's none of the craziness involved in driving the car.

One car I find difficult is the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR.
Stock, the car I'm sure isn't about power and top end speed as all the spoilers suggest downforce and good stability. Problem is, the car doesn't have stability. It understeers, then snap oversteers into the corner. It's not fun wrestling a car you just want to drive. Its just annoying it understeers then snap oversteers.
I mean the RUF is predictable as it WILL oversteer, but the ACR just spins whenever it wants.
It's not a fun car to drive at all, stock.

No way. Oversteer comes unintentionally, not on demand. No wonder why everyone hates it when they get it in shuffle mode.
And yeah...its fun, but only for short amount of time.:grumpy:

Acutally I like that snap oversteer thing, it comes handy when it understeer like a moeffer pig.:grumpy:

Oversteer comes when you floor it, so yes, I agree, it's unintentional, but it's no Yellowbird. :p Well, people hate it because it's not as fast as it's hyped up to be. Apparently. And yea, it's fun until it rips your head off, nasty things happen when it does that. :scared: But you do get to enjoy the (brief) moments of fun when you aren't dead or in a tree. Also, in the interior view, you can hear the turbos spooling up.

IT SOUNDS SO COOL!! :dopey:

really? GSX-R/4 is one of my favorite cars in gt5, I have 4 of them now :-/
I say stick with it and give it a chance, once you get used to it you'll love it too, I see it as a mini formula car or a big go kart lol its so versatile tuned or detuned to match competition it can handle most things from around 400 right up to around 600 pp.

Could you please help me tune the GSX-R/4?

I can not find it here

The GSX-R/4 is a very good drift car.
If you want, I can give you the settings, then, it's maybe the easiest car to drift.

YES Please I love it!!!! :dopey:
