Hardest car to drive

I've spent a good 3 hours tuning that car! Stayed on the nurb ring the whole time. I can't get it to where I like it. It floats down the road and if I up the rear aero (because you can't on the front) every time I hit a hill the front end stands up! and to be honest its not that fast for how much it is. Its sad because I love that car and I can't enjoy it in the game. Have same problem with the Zonda R but I still drive the hell out of it.
 
OK found a couple more unusual-handling cars...

Ginetta G4 '64 - Small, incredibly light (like 450kg!) and low-ish power (90, standard) should have made for quite a useful tool on the smaller racetracks, right?

Wrong. All this thing likes to do is oversteer all day long. Just when you think you can put the (very little) power down, it snaps and is virtually impossible to stop because it has such low grip (Comfort Softs).

Another car which I entered into the European Hot Hatch Championship Seasonal Event...

Lotus Esprit Turbo HC '87

Damn near impossible to keep up with a Citroen C4 haha! It's crazy for a car which looks so fast to actually be such a slouch and be barely able to do anything about it. Not even rescued by great handling, as I found. Understeer followed by large armfulls of oversteer, refusing to go in a straight line. Then, disappointing when you do get it straight because it accelerates like a Kei Car. Only worse.
 
I think the Cizeta is pretty bad as well, mostly after a couple of laps you can somewhat guess the next move or you know the limits of a car (that doesn't mean I drive them flawlessly, not at all), with the Cizeta I don't really seem to improve after driving it for a wile.

It mostly comes down to prediction, oversteer or understeer don't necessarily mean it's not manageable.

Couldn't agree more with you. lambos are like big powerful brutes who just eat the road and make a mess doing it.
on the other hand you have a Ferrari which seem balanced and show finesse with mind blowing control. (this statement is for game Sim only) I have no idea how they are in real life tho I would believe Ferrari are tighter thru a corner.

It's because they're 4WD, I think they drive amazingly great, but it does require some adaptation each time I drive one of the modern Lambo's, they go pretty wide in the corners which you simply have to compensate with less speed (early braking before-, and early accelerating in- the corner).

The F40 with ABS = 0 is next to impossible to drive...
but still, I have fun with it even if it doesn't give me the fastest laptimes

The cobra isn't bad, just takes a good driver to handle it.

Personally I think the veyron is hands-down the WORST handling car in the game, even the Tank Car handles better.

Have you played with the torque differential on the lambos? I find if I do 90% 10% I have a much easier time getting them around corners. because I can break the back tires loose.

I have to agree with you there, although i can drive it cleanly when i decide i want to race it.

Fully modded evoras and esprits are absolute disasters. I remember a time trial on Rome and I couldn't get it around the first corner no matter what I did. I had a murcielago sv even on 50/50 power distribution it was sliding all over the place on racing mediums.

My tuned Evora drift car is actually quite the opposite.. Perfect powerslider.
 
My worst handling car IMO that I can think of right now would be the RUF BTR. For me everytime I try to drive it in a straight line it just turns on it's own. The littlest steering flinch I do just to even the car out would spin it and slide.
 
Shelby GT350R Full tune. Why you no has traction? I gave you sticky tires and a muchhhhh higher hears set but you still spin tires so easy.
 
I'd say the cobra and the yellowbird are the most challenging cars to master, but once you learn to treat them with respect they're great.
I once drove a replica cobra for a few miles with my dad, we took it out on the motorway (freeway) and I got to about 65 mph in 3rd gear and it was stuttering and complaining at me so I stepped on the gas ... you guessed it, in 3rd gear it lit up the back wheels at that speed and scared the **** out of me. Avoid this car in real life. Trust me.

This was the car that Peter Brock was killed in, and he was a champion race driver.
 
Ever driven the Speed 12? Massive wheelspin most of the time.

The Veyron is not too bad. It's just the weight.

If you think a replica with a modern chassis is wicked you should definitely stay away from the real thing!

Yep, that's why it's called the Crazy Horse.

I also find the Amuse S2000 Street Version undrivable. Which doesn't make sense considering the R1 is one of the best cars in the game.

My speed 12 handles great but buggati definitely sucks so does the berlinitee r/s,evora tuned all the way,g4,spirra,and the diahatsu midget

Ginetta is "special" like in retarded special.

Speed 12 handles good , it just has massive power so you need to start braking early and it handles fine (not verygood but just fine :p ).
Zonda c12s same story but handles better than the speed 12.

Stratos handling is very bad yeah
The op's Ruf BTR handles good... try a RUF yellowbird :) Back swings more than shakira's *** :p

Yea...I guess that would be the simple answer, right? But, I'm not big on using driving aids. I do fine with all aids off on other cars that give people problems, like the Yellowbird.

Meh - good thing I'm not huge LMP1 guy - I can live without it.

Play around with your LSD. With the right tune, it's handling is AWESOME. Try Praianos garage?

I find the BTR perfectly acceptable to drive, though that may be because I was used to the Yellowbird before hand. I'd say the Alpine A310 is a right hand full on stock rubber: the weight balance probably makes the RUF's look normal by comparison!

The Alpine is also rear engine rear drive maybe thats why they handle so bad
 
I would have once said the 96 CTR from RUF, but if your careful going in and out of corners and do some work with the diff you'll have no trouble handling it. So I say the X2010 even though I've never used it also go karts and the Formula 1 cars.

haha, yeah I feel like I'm drifting when I'm using it, but I'll say the Mclaren f1 stock is the most dificult one I've tried.

Dude I got bored of not being able to kiss the wall no matter how fast i went, everytime there are kids using x1s in races, i just take out my x2010 prototype, destroy them by a lap or more and they usually learn their lesson and keep the x1s on their garages, sometimes there's a hero that tries to keep up with me, but fails, to me, easiest car ever, it's so arcadey, I consider it as a Troll car, nothing more.
