Has anyone ever finished a 24hr Endurance Race?

Hi,

Ive been playing GT5 for a while now, im on Level 22 felly new to it. 👍

So far soo good finishing off most racers in expert now. :)

I cant wait for endurance racers love love love it i enjoy it alot. Wondering though 24hr Le Mans is going to be a real test for me lol.

Wondering if anyone has finished it and whats the prize money?

Not worried about what car i win but then again would be nice to find out.

I hope your all enjoying your racing. Cant wait for level 25 so i can do the 300km event.

Finished 2 times A-spec at 24 hour Le Mans, 1 time 24 hour Nurburgring! (Edit: All with DS3)


B-spec: 1/1 Le Mans/Nurburgring!



Planning on doing another 24 hour of Le Mans soon, this time with G27... :dopey:

Cool mate. How did you find it? How long did it actually take you overall? Im sure you didnt sit there for 24hrs straight :P hahaha

First time I did the 24 hour of Le Mans was last year (March).
Used 4 days, pausing the race when I was taking a break, and left the PS3 on overnight.

At Nurburgring I used about 6 days, with same strategy as Le Mans, completed same month.
 
I've finished all four - and I've done the A-Spec Ring 24hr twice. So five.

I like your style dude. I was thinking of doing the same thing over a 5-6 day period. Taking my time but doing as much as i can. Cant wait to unlock those levels. Still alot to do till then. But interesting stuff. 👍

Finished all four prior to mid-race-saves update, the A-Spec LeMans took me three weeks and the A-spec Nurburgring took me the better part of two. Needless to say, the B-spec races went by in a little over 24 hours each.

Heh - the first time I ever used the mid-race saves was last week, doing the Ring 24hr A-Spec for the second time. And that's how I discovered the bug with the Suspend function.

Interesting. Ill look into that one. But i might go with the pause option. Unless my OS3 blows up hahahaha :sly:

I did the race as soon as Spec 2.0 came out, which had the suspend feature added. I scheduled the race on a school break, and did 2-4 hour stints. The only things that kept me going was strong music 👍 I think I'll do the Nurburgring event sometime in the summer.

Doing Le Man's right now. I'm 10 hours in, it hasn't stopped raining at all. Taken me probably two weeks to get this far. I don't have a lot of time to play as I have three young kids and a wife who wants to spend time together. The in game save is great for people like me.

yeah i kinda understand wat you mean i work 5 days a week and play football 3 times a week struggling to get some spare time to play up untill saturday or sunday.

But i cant wait to get myself into it i love driving and everyting about the endurance races.

I did the 24h a spec ring in about 10 days, the first 7 or so hours were full on rain, then it went dark and rained some more. There is no point in racing the ring from a practical point of view as you need to be level 40 to enter, so the 9 million xp you get is wasted and the money is crap. I just did it because it was there (and game completion).

I wish they had integrated your b-spec drivers in to the endurance races, it would have given them more of a purpose. Also the ability to do setup changes in the pits and view more telemetry for your bob. As great as this game is, the idea that you would drive the whole le mans 24hr yourself is plain daft, it hasn't been done in ages (Pierre Levegh in '52 was one of the last with a decent chance to win out of it, and he broke his car due to fatigue) and runs counter to the way endurance racing is supposed to work. I heard that gt4 allowed you to share with your bob?
 
Ive done them all several times inc 5 24hr A-spec races of which 1 was done in realtime, Also done them all several times in B-spec but only 2 24hr cars.
 
ive done both.
i did 24hours lemans in a Pugeot 908 and 24 hour at nurburgring i did it in a ferrari p4 race car On aspec. on bspec i just used x1.
