Has anyone lost interest in this game?

The hype is most certainly down from the last few months, but it is still higher than it was a year ago.

The forum is quiet for good reason, there is limited news to discuss.

As soon as a new release date is announced this forum will go mad, followed by completely being swamped upon the first reviews coming out prior to release.

As for whats going to happen during E3, might have to auto refresh that day.

You were hooked by the advertising and sound as if coming down from its manufactured high. The hype wagon got under way, promoting, plugging, puffing, spinning and propagandizing the product, only to have the rug pulled out from under it by the restructuring of time tables.

It will be released when it is released, and everyone who has been depending on it will need to move on to another stimulant/anesthetic to get through the tide of modern life.

Don't worry, the hype wagon will begin again in order to hook you to the product, it's in the budget. :)

I think i'm obsessed with this forum and GT5. I'm not an avid motorsports or even car fan, however i think that GT5 looks amazing and can't wait to play the finished version. I check this site about 10 times daily like a weirdo. I do hope they release the game soon so i can get out of this habbit, it's affecting my health.

Have I lost interest? I lost all immediate interest about two years ago, however, it will still be pre-ordered once a date is given....and a first day pickup

It's like I keep saying, PD/GT5 has a lot more to worry about than Forza 3 (or 4), time is their worse enemy and it's getting worse as every day passes.

Not lost interest. Formula 1 is starting soon and looks to be very interesting and I have Forza 3. Might even give iracing a go.

I personally think GT5 would be a tight schedule for March/May and really this game would be July/August but you can't release it then. For Sony I wonder if sales will be impacted in 2011-12 by a new Xbox Forza 4 with real 1920x1080, more cars on screen, nice environments, better looking PC games and GT5 is just too late to get those big sales. Maybe the depth and quality of GT5 will still be unmatched by then and a PS3 price cut.

As long as they make enough for the next game.

I never had any to begin with. I normally ony get interested in a game when it gets very close to being out.

Talking of F1, PD aren't the only ones being tight lipped about their game. Codemasters haven't even released a single screenshot (there's 1 or 2 artist impression things around) of their PS3/360/PC F1 game and they seem to have put back their expected release date too. I wonder if there's any connection? Although, I did hear somewhere that codemasters have to have any info cleared by FOM first.

No. I have plenty games to keep me busy. I also continue to come up with and build new ways to use my G27 in a functional and practical way. Granted I am very anxious for the GT experience and have grown pretty tired of how limited Prologue is my anticipation for GT, despite the lengthy wait, has not diminished.

Cool, did you fasten a spoon to the wheel so you can stir your cups of tea with it while you want for the game?! ;)

No, but one of my previous attachments with a cup holder wouldve been great for mixing chocolate milk. Milk + Chocolate and a good race and you will have a nice drink waiting for you. Well providing you had a lid on it and there was anything left. Needless to say it wasnt the most sturdy with games with strong feedback.

The answer is simple if you are still visiting this site/forum you still have interest in GT5. So in my case since I am posting this message, no.

I am slowly loosing the interest.. with so many g-- d--- delays, no f------ info from PD, just a big mistery on how the game will end up.. it's a d--- b---------!

If there will be a delay, it will be good as long PD will post some pictures, videos of their current build.

PD, don't keep us in the dark!

They won't give out info incase their competitors steal them and put them in their games.
So blame the competition for lack of news.

Thanks a bunch competition

That's the funniest thing I've heard all week. Thanks.

The only thing they could release is info and track/car info. Of course anything they release has probably been in a different game before.

Actually it's the reverse for me. The longer it takes the more intrigued I am.

Nope, when it comes it comes, it's still going to be a first day by for me, Plenty of other things to play to literally obliterate the wait.

+1

For the team that brought us the previous GT games (how limited was PSX hardware! so these guys know what they're doing) and with such close ties to Sony they must have so much knowledge of PS3 hardware so to take this long in making the game when some devs produce pretty nice looking games in much less than half the time this game is going to be something special.

I'm fed up with the nitwits who've posted for the hundredth time how PO'd they are at Kazunori and SONY and will never have anything to do with them or this site. Until their next rant. Buzz off, gnats.

As for GT5, I'm as intrigued as ever. The physics and feel of the Time Trial demo have me hungrier than ever to know when I can place an order on the Special Edition.

With the motorcycle season starting soon and my 4 years of evening school starting in august, GT5 certainly isn't as interesting to me as it was last year.

That said I will buy it whenever it comes out, I just won't have that much time to play it.
Which sucks. A lot. :grumpy:

I must say I have lost interest somewhat, rather than reading the forum I now mostly check the front page for any news every so often and thats about it. Given that I finally start work on Wednesday, which combined with study for cima exams will mean free time suddenly becomes non existent, even when GT5 finally does appear I sadly wont have the time to enjoy it. (where as the expected date in 2009 would have given a couple of months to enjoy it with nothing happening in the daytime to get in the way.)

I'm sure when it appears I will still end up buying at some point, but I doubt it will be straight away.

WSB, MotoGP and F1 season starting soon. They should keep me occupied for a while :)
