We have had no news updates since December, the community are still here but there seems to be a lack of anything from the site. I would gladly put myself forward to help if its a time issue.

Same here, I offered my time to help Slips with the photomode comps, that was waaaaaay last year lol

I just popped over to GTPlanet's Forza section to see if that was still cannibalizing our traffic, but it's quieter there than it is here. Even the Enthusia section has close to the same number of recent posts...

Some of us still hang around, and there's a trickle of new faces, but I don't think we'll get much action until previews for FM5 hit the web.

Yea I feel the same, until FM5 starts making headlines, seems like its going to be pretty dead around here. I am not the most active user, however I am on this site everyday checking for new posts.

I agree......After Christmas I seen a few new guys...Even had a few downloads on my tunes but thats about it

I've tried recommending Forza Planet to some of the players I've met online who have asked me questions which I was not able to answer but haven't seen any of them sign up.

The main problem is that Forza already has its own official forum so most players will just go there instead of looking for other sites. I come here because I'm familiar with GTPlanet and the amount of worshipping on the official forums is just ridiculous, once the mods have removed all the criticism which balanced it out.

^ I can't stand forums that are so large that everyone has something to say but no one actually reads anything. You just get pages and pages of replies to the topic without any discussion. What's the point?

ForzaPlanet is a much more comfortable size, but there's plenty of room to grow yet.

+1

I'm surprised you guys are still here. I know that T12 left and I only saw him back here once to close a thread. I think it's official ForzaPlanet is DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some of the Mods and Admin haven't been active on here for months, but that is understandable. Most of them, as far as I can tell, also have the same responsibility on GT Planet, and that must take up most of their time considering the size of the site. Also, as people on here seem to behave in a far better manner from what I've seen so far, there doesn't seem to be a lot of moderating needed.

I hope Jordan doesn't decide to pull the plug on this site. I like it.

I do not see T12 has left...He is still a member or the site

T12's last activity was on JAN 8, in this thread.

Quiet? Certainly. Dead? Far from it. There are plenty of contributing members and a lively club.

As long as I have one friend to chat with in here...this site will never die!!!

Abandoned? Certainly not, but it is clear that there isn't enough enthusiasm for the series to fulfill my original vision for FP.

There will be some changes coming within the next few months, though, so keep an eye out for that.

Hmmmm..........what kinda changes...for the good I hope:cheers:

You're not planning to make it some kind of penal colony for all those who misbehave on the other forum, are you? :nervous:

My nerves couldn't stand it! :scared:

Perhaps a smaller side-column for FM news on the GTPlanet homepage and GT news on the ForzaPlanet homepage would encourage some inter-site traffic? I could potentially help T12 with news posts here; I've graduated from school so I have much more free time. :)

I came here purely for Forza and the club, but since activity there is low I'm not really motivated to come here. And since GTP is huge and active 24/7 it's easy to forget this part of the 'Planet. And I only go to GTP for The Rumble Strip....

This lack of activity on the main page is really disheartening. The community is still active, as others have pointed out, butI'm not feeling like FP's really been given the love it should be.

Edit: It's way too late, but I concede (in hindsight) that this wasn't the best choice of words there.

I'd be more than happy to help out here since I got 5 days of the week I'm not working.

There definitely has been a drop in activity. It's easy to pick out the members that are consistently active. I think its partly due to the saturation of posts by the flock of members joining after Horizon launched. I will admit I joined at that time but I'm in it for the long haul :) As long as the select group that I see still post on here stay I'm not goin anywhere... I'll just think of it as quality>quantity for now :)

I'm even thinking about leaving the club, it just that there are no races anymore. I was always playing forza 4 back when the series was still going on, but I hardly play it anymore. I need forza 5.

But yeah the website seems to be abandoned. This is really a good website but I see myself more on GTPlanet. It is just more social. Too bad since this website deserves more recognition.

I've played both games, and I personally like FM4 a whole lot more than GT5. Apparently so does the rest of the world, judging by the number of games sold.

With the larger volume of sales comes more people on the GTPlanet web site.

Hence more people more chatting, more socializing.

Too bad, there are lot of really good people in here. Maybe it is time for FM5.

"FP hasn't been given the love it should be", that's your response - I want you to look over every single article that's been on the news page since day 1 and tell me who should be more disheartened, you or those of us who had such high expectations for the entire site only for everything to be received well below par.

Like I said in another thread citing the same "problem":

There hasn't been a news post or a Weekly Review for the past several weeks simply because I've turned my full attention toward my work at GTPlanet, seeing as the feedback is far greater there than it ever has been here.

If I had reason to believe things would change I'd gladly return to updating things here normally, but considering the evidence I have no reason to believe such.

After months of work, I'm happy to finally announce my future plans for ForzaPlanet.

Take a look here for more info. :)

Maybe an idea to send an e-mail, just to make sure people know.. Don't think a lot of people are reading this.

Good luck with it 👍 Hope it won't mess up my account at GTP :D

That's awesome! But I feel I must inquire about the news section. Will that be dissolved, or will it live on? :O
